People will never all agree on what constitutes good-looking. I do think they should maybe offer people a choice of having the square steering wheel or a traditional round one.
Such a great review/video. Where did you learn to drive like that? It’s all I want in life. Did you have instructors? Just a ton of seat time on track? Parking lot hoonigan antics?
I was turned on to Chris after watching his Toyota GT86 review which got me excited in anticipation for my BRZ before it was delivered in its 2012 launch year. Over a decade later my C8 order is rapidly approaching delivery and it's deja with the hype feelings from Chris all over again.
Lol. Chris has no idea how greedy American Dealership's are. No one in the US ever came close to paying the promised sub $60K USD price tag when they launched.
Without that trunk you have no place to store the targa top. Aside from that, a lot of Corvette owners actually use their cars as more than toys. I've travelled all over the east cost of the US in mine. Without that trunk space, it would only be a weekend toy. The wheel? Took me about 10 minutes to get used to it, and it make the entire gauge panel easy to read. The buttons on the console? The ones at the bottom are for the passenger. The driver never needs to touch them. Seem like you were looking for things to complain about.
It's called a wheel for a reason? Show me the "Wheel" from an F1 Ferrari. Also it has a soft close rear trunk. Don't slam it. Thanks, great video and driving from you as usual.
Question for C8 owners watching, Chris mentions MSRP as close to US$80,000, was that your experience of did you have to pay a dealers "market adjusted" price?
He mentioned the price in the 60's. Following is for the other readers and not a fellow Corvette owner. The C8 Stingray for 2023 starts around $63K. You can obtain one at MSRP from 100 Chevrolet dealerships. The top 3 are McMulkin, Ciocca, and Criswell. The list can be obtained from any of the Corvette forum sites. In other words no mark ups!!!!!
3 years ago, ordered the C8 coupe at less than MSRP. Now, ordered the C8 HTC right at MSRP (a couple 'perks' thrown in). JMO, but I won't buy ANY product (not a ball cap, not a spark plug) from ANY dealer that charges even $1 over MSRP.

Curvy yet muscular, and full of classic American optimism.
No, you are wrong. 30,000 C8 Corvette owners and we are all wrong. smile
It looks like a mclaren and a corvette had a baby.
Best in the biz, more please!
Agreed. I feel like these mid-engine vettes will need another couple generations before they start looking as they should
They'd be fully EV by then.....
Couple generations? You mean refreshes?
Base C8 looks like a GTA version of Corvette. Z06 and E-Ray look a lot better though
100% agree about the looks - the rear end looks like a camaro that has been sort of melted and stretched out.
Love it! sooo...Chris Harris, Randy Pobst and Jason Cammisa when?
Cant wait for CH to drive and review the new Z06
Can't wait for your Z06 vid Chris
Amazing driver!
Chris: (pause) “Zee 51” 😂 and also, “I really like this car!” Nuff said!
Nice energetic driving Chris
Nice to see a reviewer really push the C8. Wonder what Chris's tire (sorry Chris... tyre) budget is.
Based on this brief video, roughly 207x the cost of the car itself... 😁
The only question on my mind is will Chris be clean shaven in the podcast this week? 😁
Haha yes
Took off 20 years!
Nope...like Homer Simpson it grows straight back
Is it just better cause of rear engine or better suspension and sub frame
One of these days Chris Harris will drive a C8 Z06 and the world will be a better place for it....
Wonder what else Chris was doing at Willow. Need him to do some collaborations with Cammisa. Would be legendary fun.
Cammisa-Harris joint reviews? Love it!
(Hope it doesn’t turn political...) 😉
I was turned on to Chris after watching his Toyota GT86 review which got me excited in anticipation for my BRZ before it was delivered in its 2012 launch year. Over a decade later my C8 order is rapidly approaching delivery and it's deja with the hype feelings from Chris all over again.
If that is willow springs horse flat, have been on that years ago with my New 2006 Zo6, had TC on all the time 😂 needed to drive her home.
About time we hear his thoughts on this, but hopefully this was just a teaser video and the full length one is coming.
When you're in it, you don't have to look at it. LOL. Yeah it's no looker.
jealous?
Lol. Chris has no idea how greedy American Dealership's are. No one in the US ever came close to paying the promised sub $60K USD price tag when they launched.
I see chrissy, i click!!! ❤❤
The car is ugly, that is simple! Hearing the truth is hard hein?
Was this at spring mountain?
The only corvette I've ever consider getting
the corvette is the definition of "less is more"
It's like the Chinese looked at the R8 via a robot's eyes 👀
It's called a wheel for a reason? Show me the "Wheel" from an F1 Ferrari. Also it has a soft close rear trunk. Don't slam it. Thanks, great video and driving from you as usual.
Apples to oranges.. An F1 wheel isn't round because there's no need to shuffle your hands + it would add weight and block the driver's view out.
Can't wait to see Chris drive the ZR1, and Zora!
Wait a minute, I thought this was a flat plane crank
That's what you get for thinking.
