    Watch Steve from Australian 4x4. He made some custom drawers for his 200 series. I also have a Triton and have copied his design. I am nearly finished mine. Just carpet to go then electrical starts.
    Cheers

    Nice setup mate, best bonus of the exceed IMO is having that magic rear diff lock button 👍

    This is great. I’ve recently bought a 2017 MQ Triton and I’m in process of customising it and this has given me some brilliant guidance. You’ve just earned yourself a new subscriber!
    Looking forward to seeing more about your car!!

    Gday mate. They’re a pretty good car! The reason your tyres were scrubbing with the 265/70R17 is most likely because of the aftermarket wheels. With the standard 17x7.5 +38 wheels, a 265/70R17 will most likely fit without scrubbing on a standard Ute.
    It definitely fits on one with 60mm of lift and a bullbar.

      Hey Jarrad, That’s great info mate, thanks for that! A lift and bull bar will be down the track for me as I don’t really need them at this stage for what I’m doing, but definitely in the plan.

    Great info mate I’ve just bought a 2016 Exceed too and just put on the same rhino rack as you but one question for you .... do you get a lot of wind noise from it ?? Mine is very noisey

    • @CameraCampingAustralia
      @CameraCampingAustralia  3 года назад +1

      Hi Ross. It was on there when I bought it so it's hard to compare but yeah, there is definitely some wind noise. I don't find it distracting when there's no load on it. When I have a tent or swag up there it definitely becomes more obvious of course.

      @@CameraCampingAustralia thanks for the reply I was going to try and buy one of the Rhino Rack wind deflectors so if I do I will let you know what I think mate

      That would be great Ross. I've actually been wondering about how effective they are. Cheers.

      Not yet Bryce. It's definitely something I plan on doing at some stage but I've had different opinions on whether I need to or not.

    Thanks for the video! I'm taking delivery of a 2020 Fiat Fullback in a couple of days, which is mechanically identical to your Triton. Have you fitted the Carryboy canopy yet? I've ordered an SO56. It looks nice, can [supposedly] take the weight of a roof tent and occupants, and I like the combination of one sliding window with an exterior lock, and a lift-open window on the other side. If you've taken delivery, I'd really appreciate any insight you can offer. It's not too late for me to cancel the deal if there's a big problem! Thanks a lot!

    • @CameraCampingAustralia
      @CameraCampingAustralia  3 года назад +1

      Hi @marcj ct thanks for the comment! Yeah the Carryboy canopy has been fitted and I've been using it for a few months now and so far it's been great. I ended up going with two lift-up windows as that gives me the best access from either side and I've had no issues at this stage. The staff at Carryboy in Brisbane were really great to deal with and I have no hesitation in recommending them or their product.
      I've now pretty much fitted out the back for camping and I'm hoping to do the Phase 2 video in the next few weeks.

      @@CameraCampingAustralia phew. Thanks so much for the feedback. It's a big decision, and today was probably the last day I had to rethink it. The dual upward-opening windows are great, but we may get a dog in the next year or two, so having both window options is more versatile for our needs. I look forward to the next video! Thanks again!

    • @CameraCampingAustralia
      @CameraCampingAustralia  3 года назад +1

      Yeah that was my consideration too in case I end up with a dog later on but I decided I would have it in the back seat anyway lol

    Pay extra att when loading the rack

      Yeah, I'm very aware of the limitations of the Rhino platform racks, especially off road.
