  • @Noastrenght
    @Noastrenght 5 лет назад +127

    Don´t underestimate the age the most people get into gymnastics. The body, muscle, and ligaments have time to adapt to such advanced exercises (like Maltese) at a slower pace. This accumulates to a sturdier and much more potent basis to throw elite strength on top of. Building that level of strength safely and maintainable, but starting off with an adult body of an already fully grown person is way more complicated. Doable definitely, but ways harder.

    • @unconscious7219

      Well I started gymnastics a few months ago and my coach told me the same thing "it's harder for you to learn all these movements then it is for a child cause your already fully grown and developed where as the children aren't so there bodies can adapt to this exercise better then you can" those we're his exact words

      It will be fun none the less. Its about the fun you have while achieving what is in the cards for you. NOT about- to be miserable the whole time because you can´t get maltese due to your height or so. Happy training Ohma

    • @Noastrenght
      @Noastrenght 4 года назад

      @Ohma Tokita Well Ohma, levers and their lenght are quite important in gymnastics. It will for sure be a lot harder for you to achieve certain skills than, lets say for the normal "5ft and some" athlete. That said, it is all still possible but takes just way more effort/dedication. Warm up, train smart, rest and don´t open the door to any unnecessary injuries.

    Gymnastics is not a home or street workout. its categories need spesific devices, environment and serious coach aid. Calisthenics and street workout are for people, who do not have those facilities and opportunities. Furthermore, they are partially practical to perform.

    • @LHCalistenia
      @LHCalistenia 5 лет назад +15

      yes, and self-teach can lead to injuries, bad form etc.. That's why we see so many bad planches out there. Mine is bad too, I'm working to get a perfect line with PPT (posterior pelvic tilt)... But the big advantage is that you learn from your mistakes, that is valuable af.

    I've been wondering how to develop the isometric contraction strength to hold positions like the planche, L-sit, front lever and iron cross. I guess from this video it appears a coach helps by removing just enough of your body weight that you can barely hold the position......and then you keep holding it until you die. Maybe this makes it easier to get past the "easier" progressions....

    Damn this looks insane in term of skill. The trainer is dope too. He performs himself those exercises like a boss.

    This is really good training. I wish I could train with those guys or in that same way. I'm seeing this video late. Need to find a place like that where I live. To train with a coach would be the best.

    Also an interesting idea would be battles between you like Nile Wilson or you doing a programme on high bar or floor or a backflip/frontflip tutorial

      There's not much to it. Just a few exercises. It's mostly about consistency and practicing every single day.

    Que excelente video, loa entrenamientos de gimnasia son muy duros, prueba de ellos es la destreza del profesor, gracias por el video.

    Would totally accept to joint a gymnastic club only for training the planche, the front and back lever, and the iron cross.
    Not any acrobatic stuff. In my age i would be very happy if they accept me there.

    you should try to make a video with Yuri Van Gelder, he & you are really masters on each sport, so you can make a challenge with calisthenics & gymnastics, all the people would see that(:

    I ve been wanting to se calistenics athlets in a "real Gim" for a while. Thanks for granting my wish.
    Someting I will like to see is how gimnasts train their strenth to being able to perform this exercices you were doing. I dont mean warm up, but slowly build strenth before become capable of doing these. Thanks!

    Okay now. As a Calisthenics athlete i need to invest in a pair of rings and start training all my skills on them. I bet it will boost all the planches, handstands and levers

    I don't think there's a difference, but maybe i'm wrong. Would be great to see how do gymnasts train for planche vs street workout ? Good video !
