    • @xprinceduranteofficial9275
      @xprinceduranteofficial9275 2 года назад +46

      @@miraanda8357 , there are tons of Google articles that say gymnastics is older than calisthenics. Gymnastics has been around for more than 2,000 years, but its development as a competitive sport began just little more than 100 years ago. During the 1800s, mass and individual exhibitions were conducted by various athletic and school clubs, as well as ethnic organizations, like the Turnvereins and Sokols. Calisthenics, on the other hand, just copied the basics of gymnastics. You can also see that gymnastics is more of a complex set of movements because they are broader than calisthenics.

      @@Oyabu... , I don't think so. You should define "INSPIRE" and look back in the past. Why do you think we got calisthenics movements today? Isn't it because of something that pre-existed thousands of years ago? Gymnastics laid out the foundation, but I do calisthenics moves once every week. I like the planche the most, but we shouldn't take away the credits from gymnastics.

    I don’t know how many people will believe this but last night I had a vivid dream that I was in my old gymnasium trying to relearn gymnastics moves, and Chris Heria was my coach and was giving me pointers for the high bars. I just got out of class and get the notification for this video and I almost can’t believe it. Chris has been such an inspiration for me and within the last three months I have improved my free handstand from a 7 second hold to a 33 second hold, and I have been documenting my progress. I’ve made so much more progress with his videos than I did when I was in gymnastics from age 6-12. Please upvote this comment so Chris can hopefully see it!

Mad respect to anyone in gymnastics, the stuff they're pulling off while keeping a perfectly straight face is insane. One of your best videos of all time. I did gymnastics for 10 years and then switched to calisthenics when i got injured. Its nice to see someone do it the other way around. Great coach this guy.

    I use to go by the saying "practice makes perfect" but in a realistic world nobody is perfect, therefore I heard a new saying that "practice makes permanent" and I follow by that now, as it's very true. If you don't practice it'll permanently be that way until you choose to practice and will impact your skill greatly. Love the videos ❤
