I think that Jane Fonda is the best chaotic interview subject in Hollywood! For further evidence watch her appearances on The Colbert Report where she would flirt mercilessly with Stephen leaving him completely flustered
Whoah, this is a lot of likes for this channel (I think! Not my thing! But cool!) For real though, anyone else wish they went with "FondaVision" @13:52 ? _Please Lord some of us have to have watched WandaVision and thought of the obvious pun that beats The Fondaverse_
@@yolandamejia6670I also feel this in my soul. Stairs are acceptable, but old houses/theaters/etc. where you have to climb up and down and up again to get from point A to B is a special kind of architectural bullying
Every time i see Jane on some show, I get reminded how one of a kind she is. No one else creates the awareness or cares about the future like her. Other famous ppl should learn from her!
Jane has still got it for sure. She uses the old lady ruse to just get laughs. I swear she still has great comedic chops! She made everyone laugh, including myself several times in this episode. She is a national treasure.
Jane's comedic timing is stunning. I didn't know if her performance in Grace and Frankie was created in the edit or what, but clearly not. She's fantastic.
Best guest EVER!!!! JL is so so so good with her, so precious and humble! I love you JL, and Jane is beyond amazing together w you! This is THE BEST EVER!!!!!
I've never missed an episode of Lovett or Leave It. I always listen to the pod. But this was the first time I had to switch from the podcast to RUclips. This is priceless!
Fonda's chaotic passion is a great antidote to my gloomier tendencies. 😏 And she's right, let's get Harris/Walz IN OFFICE, and vote in a Democratic Congress TOO, vote blue up and down the ballot, so they can actually get the legislation we need DONE. ✊🏼💙
It would help tremendously if democrats shown the ability to read a scientific or engineering study instead gas lightling the public in thinking they are better than republicans. Even to this day - Trump could destroy democrats on the issue of climate and all he needs is an internet connection and a printer. The right commits science denialism in recognizing the existence of climate change, but the left commits science denialism when it comes to addressing the actual issue. What drugs are these people on thinking $2 billion is enough funding to modernize infrastructure spanning 3 MILLION MILES...... Id like to know who wrote this trash and why in the world anyone signed off on it, when there are published cost estimates for grid modernization from the likes of IEEE, ASCE, FERC, NERC, MITEI, EPI, EPRI, OERE, OE, ANL, PNNL, NREL, BNL, NREL and DOE with evidence based projected costs at $2-$2.5 trillion! But you know sure I guess a bunch of politicians clearly know about electrical infrastructure than engineering institutions, the primary federal energy manager, the primary international reliability manager, the entire US Department of Energy and multiple US National Labs. How in the world do you possibly fathom the IRA allocation would be sufficient? The fact that Harris applauds herself for this illustrates to me that DC has no idea what theyre doing when it comes to energy policy.....
Look at every major city that is under democrat control. Yes,they are all our worst cities. Some look like 3rd world countries. Harris will make everything worse. Wala is a total clown. Look what's happened under his leadership in Minnesota.
At 86, even! She was last arrested at 82. My first memory of her is from finding my mom's copy of her workout book and following it religiously. Since then, I've come to admire her impeccable humor and tenacious spirit. She is a treasure!
A completely awesome show. Jane's honesty and Lovett's tact and intellect and humour work so well here. A fantastic confluence of disparate personalities and intellects and it works so well (and Louis :).
Came after listening to the pod to see Jons face while Jane roasted him. Love the hug from Kumail and the fact that Louis and Jane are holding hands during the segment!!!
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Jane Fonda even more, her gentle roasting of Lovett to his face is amazing😅 And the shade about Barbara Streisand 😂
This interview was wild. I laughed so hard. She was both serious and hysterical. She gave Lovett so much crap and some of it I don't think was intentional
I laughed so hard at this, Jane is just a legend. She is such a force of nature and she uses it all for good. The amount she roasted Jon was spectacular
Someone said this recently on RUclips and I agree: films are empathy machines. Culture isn't just frivolous, it is important. Jane is a legend for a reason, star quality. Frankie and Grace was excellent.
In a way, she gives me "female Martin Short" vibes. Slightly chaotic yet somehow has this classic charm and wit while casually throwing out barbs from time to time.
Jane Fonda is a force of nature! I mean, this woman has spent decades fighting for future generations-like mine-while the rest of us struggle to fight the urge to hit 'next episode' on Netflix. She’s out there saving the world, and what am I doing? Watching RUclips, LOL. Honestly, I wish Joe Biden had half her energy! And don’t even get me started on her wit. She’s got the sharpness of a stand-up comedian, and Biden… well, he’s just trying not to trip over his words-or the stairs, LOL! Jane Fonda hit the nail on the head with 'we pay them to kill us.' Here in Canada, they’re trying to sell us on the idea that nuclear energy is our clean, green savior-what a load of nonsense! It’s like they forgot we’re not living in some risk-free sci-fi utopia. If there’s a meltdown, it’s not just a financial cost-we pay with our lives. Chernobyl and Fukushima are household names, but let’s not forget disasters like Sellafield in the UK, Idaho Falls, Michigan, Vaud in Switzerland, Greifswald in Germany, and the lesser-known Kyshtym disaster. The nuclear industry is a ticking time bomb, and we’re the ones footing the bill while crossing our fingers. Why gamble with that kind of risk when we’ve got safer, cleaner options on the table?
The degree to which Jane Fonda keeps negging Lovett is wild 😅
I think that Jane Fonda is the best chaotic interview subject in Hollywood! For further evidence watch her appearances on The Colbert Report where she would flirt mercilessly with Stephen leaving him completely flustered
She might’ve been annoyed at how many stairs she had to climb. Hopefully the beer made up for the effort.
@@yolandamejia6670Sadly I get this to my core! Bless you! ✌️💕🕊️

Seeing Jane is good for my spirits.
And spirits are good for Jane.
It’s fabulous. My Dad loved her. Her served in Navy in 1950’s, my brother proudly retired at Lt. Col. ! 🙏🏻💙🇺🇸 My Dad only saw only the good in people.
Your all probably full of or serving evil spirits. No doubt Fonda is.
As a later Boomer, I also struggle with our Gaza involvement. But her message is very spot on.
Opening Jane Fonda's beer just entered the top 10 greatest moments of Lovett's life.
Jane Fonda! She's an icon, she's a legend, she is the moment. What an absolutely delightful interview.
Protect Jane Fonda at all costs!!! Icon!!
National treasure!
At all costs!!!
I don't think she needs us to protect her. She seems to have it covered.
@@elyseparker5333Super strong- so USA proud and courageous when many were not able! 💙🙏🏻🇺🇸🕊️
I listened to this whole interview, and then watched it again here because I had to see Lovett’s face. Worth it. 😂❤
Every time i see Jane on some show, I get reminded how one of a kind she is. No one else creates the awareness or cares about the future like her. Other famous ppl should learn from her!
She’s just so historically gifted! Bless her forever. I remember the hell she endured. 🙏🏻💙🕊️
I didn't know before but I'm obsessed with Jane Fonda's vibe.
Jane has still got it for sure. She uses the old lady ruse to just get laughs. I swear she still has great comedic chops! She made everyone laugh, including myself several times in this episode. She is a national treasure.
Magnificent Jane 🥰
What a legend. This interview rocks.
This is the funniest Jane Fonda interview I’ve ever seen 🤩
Jane's comedic timing is stunning. I didn't know if her performance in Grace and Frankie was created in the edit or what, but clearly not. She's fantastic.

If I live to be Jane Fonda's age, I hope to be that cool! She is so amazing!
Yet another reason why Ms. Fonda is legend. This was a chaotic delight! 😂

I wish this interview was 9 to 5. I could easily listen for 8 hours.
😂 Totally!
Jon .. you really have your hands full in this interview. You -almost- kept your head above water. Nicely done.
Welp, didn't realize I needed to see Jane Fonda drinking a Blue Moon with my coffee this morning, but alas, I did.

Thank you Jane---you're such a classic lady who fights for your believes with passion and enthusiasm.
Just when I thought I couldn’t love Jane Fonda even more, her gentle roasting of Lovett to his face is amazing😅

That would be awesome!

Sure to end with them both showing what fools they are.

Love you Lovett, for having Jane Fonda
I'm adding "Jane Fonda sat on my sofa and tell me that the pilates is doing NOTHING for me" to my vision board.
AND LOUIS VIRTEL? I'M SCREAMING.
Someone said this recently on RUclips and I agree: films are empathy machines.
Culture isn't just frivolous, it is important.
Jane is a legend for a reason, star quality. Frankie and Grace was excellent.
Love u, Jane Fonda ❤
Jane's a riot! Jon's best show yet.
Wow she's incredible!! This episode has been altogether amazing actually, maybe the best one yet imo
Jane’s chaotic. I love her.
I laughed extra loud this episode. So good 💕
Thank god she spoke about voting for the party you can actually pressure to adopt vital policies. And that she said to stop criticising them.
I listened to this yesterday while driving and was laughing hysterically. So much so, that I had to watch it to watch Jane repeated roast Jon.
smart, charming, witty, and she gets things DONE!
I love this! ❤
Holy Schmidt! this is my favorite Lovett episode ever.

Out here in the California sun, Hollywood shade hits different.
A line I bet Jon never thought he'd say: There's your beer, Jane Fonda.
He's gonna be impossible on the next PSA.
I always watch! Wow! So happy to see this conversation!
Barbarella's gonna get things done!!! Massive sass and always stickin' it to 'em. Sweet Jane rocks the house!!!
A beer and a hug😂😂😂 She's the best😂

This was the nest interview ever!! John was perfect. ❤❤ Jane was Jane. ❤❤
Jane Fonda's shade on Barbara Streisand being petty was the chef's kiss of this interview 😅😂
She’s hilarious!😆 She is so using you as a prop in her skit John! You’re a good sport! She got a hug from that cute stage hand! 😂 And she’s smart too!
I’d love to meet Jane Fonda. What an icon and force she still is.
The more confused the guests are about where they are, and why, the better the episode.
✨💙💯 Love your work, Jane Fonda!
seeing Jane Fonda is really for the soul, I’m making my son watch this. He’s an activist too 😮
She is, and has always been, a gem. ❤

Great show!
Never occurred to me that the natural counter to republicans' negativity is Barbarella.
