Wow watching this just made me remember how much I miss classic traditional 2D Disney animation a lot 🥹
Hand-Drawn Animation Disney is still alive
@@LooneyCartoonMan is it?
@@jacktheflash8478 yeah, why makes you said that. I mean in know about the 3d animations for new Disney movies but you saw the news. The 2d hand drawn animations will return to make new movies. This is a beginning for the 2d hand drawn Animations
Same here. I love the Disney Renaissance.
It’s coming back!
now we need a 2D movie
yeah
Yep
We want 2D Disney movie say it with me
Nothing wrong with 3d movies, but I just miss that look and style. The rough look with a sort of quiet serenity and grace.
Can we all agree that Disney 2D is more better movement then Anime movement themselves
Edit: Just an opinion
Willing to bet the Disney Archives gave them plenty of original cels for reference because these look like they were lifted straight out of the movie and could've been done by the original Disney Nine Old Men.
Yeah impressiv! But you can also see the own style of the artist. I love it.
This is because Eric Goldberg (leading animator for the Genie) worked on this
hopefully they'll add this to Disney plus sorry for any misspells or mistakes in spelling.
That was hands-down the coolest thing I've ever seen. God, how I've missed 2D animation.
Hand-Drawn animation is not dead, calm down
@@LooneyCartoonMan fr people acting like it's gone as if it's not still used for movies in France, Ireland, Japan, etc. plus on top of this it's announced we will see Disney 2d feature films again lol.
on top of the 2d shows still made at disney
@@420mar5 You mean made by Disney companies
@@420mar5 Exactly
Great to see Disney return to classic 2D animation with this ad,I loved how they nailed the animation style and backgrounds of the original 1961 film very well. Let’s hope Disney would make brand new 2D animated golden age-style cartoons for Disney+ much like Warner Bros. Looney Tunes Cartoons for HBO Max featuring it’s iconic cartoon characters(Donald Duck,Goofy,Pluto,Chip n’ Dale, and Huey,Dewey, and Louie)in the future.
I agree! Because I may have a feeling that Paul Rudish Mickey Mouse franchise might be ending it’s run soon, but I maybe wrong.
What about Mickey Mouse?
@@harrisoncora4259 Him too.
The Walt Disney Company had never gave up on hand-drawn animation, besides that is just a commercial. Walt Disney Animation Studios will never make a Looney Tunes Cartoons-styled Mickey Mouse show.
@@LooneyCartoonMan they might make a Mickey Mouse show at least.
Walt Disney said "If you can dream it, you can do it, and don't let anybody say you can't". This is my biggest dream goal of bringing the 2-D animated style from Disney once again and I'll be a movie director as well.
actually, i am on that goal as well including the music of my favorite composer alan menken, based on a musical disney ride from disney sea tokyo
@@scoutart1508 awesome to hear about your goal.
@@scoutart1508 cool
@@jacktheflash8478 it's very awesome to hear
I love how Pongo and Perdita just wave goodbye after telling Cruella to beat it.
They should've said, "Ta ta witchy!"
They were like: "Not this time."😡
This is the kind of animation I MISS SO MUCH!! Where has classic Disney animation been all these years?!?! 😍😁
This Givenchy short should be on disney plus.
Yessssssssssss
101 Dalmatian Street season 2 needs to come! Otherwise, Walt Disney Animation Studios returned to the franchise with this short.
That is true, we need season 2.
100% true
Yes bro
Guys I'm sorry but the show was cancelled for not doing well in the U.S., creator had no plans for S2, some people hated the show, and My fact is Atomic Cartoons making the show instead of Disney TVA.
@@danieltapia1460 It didn't do well in the US because they never told us about it. It's like they kept it hush hush so they could kill it off.
I see Pongo & Perdita are in Paris with only 5 of their original liter of 15 puppies. I think I only recognize a few of the pups. Patch, Lucky & Rolly.
The other two puppies are Freckles and Pepper. Sadly they didn't bring their sister Penny with them in Paris.
This is a great start, just keep moving forward one step at a time and 2D Disney movies will become a reality again.😃
This is amazing! One step closer to getting 2D animation back.
I Love This Animation!❤ Thank You Disney!🎉
Eric Goldberg is carrying the Disney 2D division so hard. Such a talented guy.
It is quite satisfactory that both Pongo and Perdita growled at Cruella
Agreed!
I Love thank Moment when Cruella shows up it makes My laugh
I love the fur ruffle when they both grrr. So good!
It makes me happy knowing that Disney is announcing they're bringing back 2-D animated movies back in the future, i hope it will be another princess fairytale.
This clips just shows me this because disney is sticking to Thier plan on returning 2D animation
Eric Goldberg is who we should be thanking soon if more 2D contect is anonced
I second that, he’s the best animator Disney has.
@@dillonwright13 sooo best trust him if he comes back for some animeting
I agree! Eric Goldberg is so lucky Disney kept him.
After decades, hand drawn animation was once introduced as an advertisement. I hope they make a movie next
I’m so glad that Jennifer Lee and Eric Goldberg is bringing back hand drawn animation. This make take one step at a time, but it is indeed returning. Hopefully one day we see Disney doing more hand drawn animated features at theaters and do hand drawn animated shorts and series for Disney+. While I enjoy Paul Rudish’s Mickey Mouse shorts, but I would love to see the new golden age hand drawn short series starring Mickey Mouse and friends similar to Mickey Mouse Works and Looney Tunes Cartoons on HBO Max. I don’t know if bringing back hand drawn animation was Bob Chapek’s idea or not. If it is, I like him already. But, if it isn’t, then it’s safe assumed that he doesn’t know about it yet. Nonetheless, I’m so excited that hand drawn animation coming back to WDAS.
I liked how Pongo and Perdita growled at Cruella De Vil.
And then a "wave-goodbye" 😂
😊! That’s the truth nobody messes with their children!
Sacre bleu!!! This is good!!
There’s simply goes to show that with a little bit of extra hard work and dedication, through faith trust and a little bit of pixie dust, the results would be absolutely satisfying. In this Woke era of Disney, I hope there will be a small light of hope that Disney hasn’t lost their touch yet.
This is Disney’s greatest strength. Don’t turn away now!
This is the reason so many people nowadays just stick with the older movies, and the ones grew up with because that's precisely what those kinds of movies did for them. They were heartfelt, funny, for all the ages, full of value, and are consistently good every time you watch them. While one of the purposes was the company to make money, they still wanted to deliver a quality product to the viewers and it feels like they've lost that.
We need Disney to make Hand Drawn 2D movies again
I have a really cool idea! They should recreate their 3D animated movies into hand drawn 2D! I'm actually curious what movies like Frozen and Encanto would look like in said animation!
@@ofearghailthefearless6481 They were planning to make Moana 2D, there are clips to prove it, but it was changed to 3D. It would've been nice to see the movie in 2D, might've been as good as the animation of Lilo and Stitch.
Agreed.
The head-rubbing animation - that just makes the whole segment.
We took for granted 💔 how well animated movies in 1990s and 2000s were, outside the animation being revolutionary for it's time, the writing was also well written that even being 30. I can still watch movies like Ice Age (2002) and actually enjoy.
But 101 Dalmations is from the 60s, decades before the 90s or 00s.
@@carolyns4519 when did we ask?
Great to see 2-D animation returning and will come back into action soon. And this time, Bob Iger will not mess it up by showing no respect for it now that he is gone and history.
Indeed! He thinks hand drawn animation is not relevant today.
@@TsWade2 Well as of now, and according to the customers and fans, he was completely dead wrong.
@@NickyHelp For once, you're right! I don't like Bob Iger anymore. Not only he cuts hand drawn animation, but he also made Disney a woke agenda which will end eventually.
Movies back then taught us about importance of friendship, loyalty, kindness, compassion, determination, etc.
But nowadays, they just push you to buy Disney merchandise
@@researcherchameleon4602 agreed 👍
This looks amazing, it's just like I'm watching the original version 👏😍
Nostalgic!
Pengo, Perdita, and the puppies are so cute and cuddly.
Just imagine If We could se Disney Charakters like This Walking around in other Europian countries Pongo and pedita In Paris France 🇫🇷 Simba And Nala in Warsaw Poland 🇵🇱 Robin hood and Marian In Rejkavik Iceland 🇮🇸 😍😍😍
🐺🐺🐺
Today's Cartoons don't have as many good, fun and exciting masterpieces as the old cartoons.
I’m getting flashbacks to the mall scene in Eight Crazy Nights watching this. Animation in both is obviously great but still.
I absolutely love this! 😍❤️😁 please please please Disney bring back 2D animation! 😫 I’m begging you! I miss 2D animated films 😭❤️
They should do 2d hand drawn animated movies in 2020s
I wish Eric Goldberg make more of Disney animated movies.
I'm happy to see that you've had this done of the traditional hand drawn look, but I'm certain that some sort of Digital Ink and Paint - i.e. Toon Boom Harmony, etc. - was still involved in the pipeline. I'm curious to know how exactly this was made and how the production team managed to create such an authentic hand drawn look with modern Digital Ink and Paint.
Who else is in love with Pongo? 😍😍
my inner child is alive again....
2D hand draw traditional animation is where is used to grown-up with
Same with me.
Oh man this looks fantastic .....classic disney more like i love it .. finally it returns
Movies today are made to appeal to as wide an audience as possible and make as much money as possible. Back in the day while profit and marketability was important producers and directors had more freedom to be creative and make movies that were original, innovative and memorable.
OMG YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS Givenchy i love you guys for supporting 2D! This is so beautiful
The good thing about 2d it that the quality never goes away over the years. Even Snow White looks still looks fairly good today. Even if it’s digital 2d it’s still presentable.
Notice Perdita's bedroom eyes at 0:11? They're doing it on purpose, now.
Wow this looks incredible
From afar, the video looked so much like Hailey and Justin, but this guy only had short hair! Good luck GIVENCHY✨
I just want 2D animated films to come back. Is that too much to ask?!
So awesome to see hand drawn animation by Disney. I know they do the TV shows and they're awesome but I'd love to see stuff like this on the big screen. I feel like Princess and the Frog came out at the wrong time for us to appreciate it and it sucks that it and Winnie the Pooh ended Disney 2D animation
Is it just me or this feel like something Walt Disney would do?
I am so happy to see 2D animation again
Me too.
Like how back in the old good days, we didn't over-analyze anything. We just sat back and enjoyed stuff. 😉
Now we just wait for “101 Dalmatians 3” to get the green light. I know Disney’s direct-to-video offerings didn’t get the best reception, but some of them looked like they could’ve passed off as theatrical releases(hell, one of them was a theatrical release).
Some of Pooh's sequels & spinoffs were released in theaters.
Who says that Disney movies are just for kids? Adults can watch it as well, They have some life lessons which applies to both kids and adults. For example, what do we learn from The Little Mermaid, from my perspective, that movie learned us that never sell yourself to an evil person, also if the deal is bad, don't take it. What about Cinderella? It taught us that dreams can come true and no matter with circumstances be always good and kind. What about Pocahontas? Love conquer all and one must find their own way, other movies which has powerful messages, excellent music. Nowadays everything is must be political ,which is sad and heartbreaking 💔. I definitely want to bring it back for my dream job in the future.
This isn’t a feature-length film for cinemas, but it’s a start.
I wonder if they'll do one for Lion King.
Who knows.
A 2D animation of the 101 Dalmatians 🤩 this is soooo beautiful !
@Alex Payn Disney probabily will never do a 2D animated movie again, now it's 3D animation... sad to see that 2D animation become less and less use today !
@alexpayn2909 well, they already did a live-action version, I don't think they will (and I hope that they will not) make a 3D version, that's would be weird....
Another step toward the return of hand-drawn animation!
I feel so calm watching this idk :))
Nowadays you can recreate the classic art style from walt's lifetime, but this is something disneytoon studios has ever done.
This is beautiful. Disney needs to bring traditional animation back. I'd pay good money if disney could bring the traditional animation back! 😢
I know they’re European but for some reason, seeing the Dalmatians in Paris is so fitting
I have an idea for a 3rd movie now!
Yes and alot have avoided those powerful morally complex story's in favor of something safer. Sure the effects look amazing but heart isn't there anymore, The Toy Story series is an exception because of all fours have are capable of rivaling each other.
Pretty cool huh i love 101 dalmatians
0:20 Pongo and Perdita: Bye witchy!
we need a 3rd season of 101 dalmatians the series from 1997.
Hi! How are you?
Tomorrow is already the weekend this week. Time really flies.
I hope you have a healthy/pleasant weekend/holiday. Thank you.
:D AAAH!! THEY'RE BACK!!!
101 Dalmatians in France.
It’s interesting the character that has gone down as a style icon was growled off the stage. Then again, her solo film last year has influenced the runways since.
I hope sometimes in the future, My family would see the newspaper or different articles on the internet of their own cellphones 📱 about I finally got my dream job as "Ian Cassidy save the Walt Disney Company for bringing the 2-D animated style in order pay homage and tribute to past Disney's 2-D animated style movies were made in old glory days". "Ian Cassidy made his promise to have more Magic and/or Inspiration from 2-D animated movies from Disney". "Walt Disney Company made a agreement with Ian Cassidy to have Disney's 2-D animated style movies to have music to be more Heart and Emotion with Absolutely Magical, Storytelling and Scope as well". "The Walt Disney Company celebrated Ian Cassidy's birthday party for being our Savior of bringing the old school Disney 2-D animated style movies".
Sad to see 2D returned for this.
Aka the return of Disney 2d animation
Givenchy. Cruelty free.
0:16 Looks like Pongo and Perdita gets back at Cruella de Vil
WOW!!!!🤩🤩🤩🤩 I LOVE IT!!!
lovely
So cute
Movies back then were absolutely magical, in storytelling and scope. The beautiful scores were final icing on the cake 🎂. There's no magic or inspiration anymore 😢, seems to be all be political and personal agendas and corporate profit. I've noticed that most movies scores sounds very generic with "NO" heart or emotions. I really want to bringing the back those types of movies that I grew up with ever since I was toddler and younger ages in 2000s era with more "Absolutely Magical", "Storytelling" and "Scope". Even more "Heart and Emotion".
I'm thinking Disney stuff never meant always for Kids, it's for everyone mostly adults back in the day, same with Looney Tunes and Tom and Jerry, unlike nowadays everything is for kids and family.
Was this done by Eric Goldberg?
I have a hunch it did!
✏
so good
I miss the traditional animation, even if the 2d is done by computer 😭😭😭
🎉🎉🎉🎉
I hope that 2D animation will return. NOT CGI 2D animation & NOT flash animation AND that the characters & backgrounds dosent look simple.
that thumbnail of pongo looks sus😂
why is Jesse pinkman at GIVENCHY in the Disney universe?
I thought Disney died because of a team of high school students using flash
There totally needs to be a time when humans really need to make a "True" animated movies that touched the soul and heart of the viewers of all ages. Somebody hand-drawn and computer animation, it's not just the movies, TV shows as well for all ages on Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network, Disney Channel, and the Walt Disney company needs to take there place in the circle of animations shows and movies for everyone.
Come on y’all could have done aristocats and it would have made more sense 😭
Bring back 2d animation.
Please.
Époustouflant ❤
At 0:08 why are the dogs looking past the display of the handbags ? (their eye direction is looking at interior right-side corner of the window).
I think thats a re used shot from one of the movies
They might have saw 102 Dalmatians
Welp. It’s a start.
This makes me happy Disney is trying to go back using 2D animation like before. But this makes me angry at the same time reminding me how Disney Ruined a series based on the original, 101 Dalmatian Street.
1: They did not mentioned or advertise it here in America UNTIL March 29 to 22 of November 2021 on Disney XD. Instead it was aired over at Europe for the time until its CANCELLATION.
2: Barely any merchandise or media to attracting the public.
3: Disney DECIDED not to put it on TV where they could have gotten MORE Ratings and a potential 2nd Season, but instead chose to put it on Disney+ Which is a mistake in my opinion.
4: It was underrated because of Disney's decisions. While the show wasn't perfect and was a bit flawed, however it was enjoyable, nevertheless Disney ruined a potentially good Spin-off series which could had earned another season expanding on the characters and development.
I like Disney and some of their movies and shows but their making poor choices and decisions on what they intend to make for us and decide to skip or forget about.
if there in paris does that mean they ran into the aristocats or that the the aristocats 101 dalmatians crossover is confirmed ?????? 🐈🐈⬛🐶🐕🐱🐩🐾🗼
