  • This presentation, presented on Friday, December 16th, 2022 was part of the seventh annual 2022 Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium.
    About the speakers:
    Dr. Dimmeler is Professor of Experimental Medicine (since 2001) and Director of the Institute of Cardiovascular Regeneration, Center for Molecular Medicine at the University of Frankfurt since 2008. Her group elucidates the basic mechanisms underlying cardiovascular disease and vessel growth with the aim to develop new cellular and pharmacological therapies for improving the treatment of cardiovascular disease. Ongoing research focuses on epigenetic mechanisms that control cardiovascular repair, specifically non-coding RNAs.
    The seventh annual Ted Rogers Centre Heart Failure Symposium was held virtually from December 16-17, 2022. This meeting, which blends clinical innovations with the latest scientific advances, has grown to become Canada’s largest conference on heart failure.
