Hi Melina. I’m a retired Direct Support Professional. That’s a long winded way of say that I spent many years working with intellectually and developmentally disabled adults. I taught them life skills that enabled them to live on their own, in their own apartment, with daily help. It makes my heart sing when you and miss E. talk about your interaction with Aaron. Sounds like you and your family are doing a phenomenal job teaching him to be as independent as possible. You are a good mom! It hurts my heart to think of all the special needs individuals who do not have caring families to help them. God has blessed Aaron!!❤❤

I really thank you for the idea of using the front of the chipboard. I don't like a lot of bulk in my scrapbook. Love the clusters. I also like your accent. I am from the south as well, but I live in Oklahoma. They get amazed at how I express myself. But proud of it!!!

Hi, Melina, I understand completely, I do a lot of praying for my kids & they’re grown & kids of their own! They will always be your babies no matter how old they get & you will never stop worrying about them! My son drives an hour to work & I’m praying early every morning for God to place a hedge of protection around him! You’re a normal momma! Hugs! 🥰

I agree with what you’re saying about your children growing up. My kids are 42 and 40 and I can hardly believe that seems like yesterday they were a little toddlers. And I miss those times
Hi Melina, you are the queen of clusters! I don't always comment but I enjoy so much when you share your family. I think you are a wonderful momma and applaud you and Aaron. He is a wonderful young man wanting to help and enjoying doing his chores. Not to be judgy I think some of the youngins these days aren't given chores to help and serve the family and it hinders them in their dealing with life. We had chores and I believe it helped us with our work ethic. Both of my parents are gone but we used to tease them and tell them they had 5 little servants! LOL. So grateful for the way we were raised. I love the stories you and your momma share,they always touch my heart. Your channels bring peace and relaxation to me. Thank you for all the time you invest in us! I remember when my daughter started to drive, it was scarey. I grew up in a small county town in Ohio but moved to Houston at 22. I couldn't imagine my baby driving on those crazy freeways! Sometimes thinking about her even today, I pray God's hedge of protection around her and her family going places. It will get easier but your concern will always be there, your prayers are covering her. Remembering when they were little, my daughter would ask, momma may I have a fruitgrape? Everytime I see a grapefruit I remember that!!

My nephew is autistic and he loves helping with chores and organizing. He loves feeling like he’s needed. He will be 19 next month and he’s always been like that, especially with his TT (me). My mom and I have some mobility issues and he just wants to help us out. Such a sweetheart ❤❤❤ he does so much better when you explain things in colors or numbers. He needs that structure or he’d be confused. 🥰

It’s hard letting go of our babies. My girl is an only child and 19 years old now. My husband and I waved her off yesterday morning as she head off on her own for a 4 day Easter break… we never stop being parents, no matter how independent and grown up they get! I could make anything using what's on my desk today. Have spent most of day making clusters and snippet roll so I have boxes of " whatever" along with 3 started little golden book journals. I just can't work on my desk so have been working in my lap!

You're a good Mama Melina. When my youngest left for college, I was a wreck, and then the empty nest syndrome set in. He is now 33 and a very successful contractor in NJ. I don't get to see him as often as I would like, but he is busy. He does call me a couple of times a week, so ten years from now, when Bethany has a successful business, you will reminisce about her starting out with college and on to a new job. 🙂❤️
I’m at a place where I can’t have all my crafting supplies with me. This made me just want to make a bowl of scraps to play with.

When my son got his drivers license I had a panic moment. My first thought was I will have so much extra time, the second thought, he doesn’t need me anymore. It was the same feeling I had sending him off on his first day of school.
How about going through my trash can? I always throw away the little bits...lol
Loving this but I don’t have anything on my desk as it doubles as my remote working station, I do have a bag of scraps though and this long weekend my project is to make clusters and a cluster book (thanks to Shabbydabbydoodah)
Mom has a request : Could Aaron come op & help us out? Because we need it!! 😊😉. Seriously though…We need Prayers for a dear Family Friend of ours. Jim called us on Friday to let us know a Tumour had been found on his Pancreas. Tuesday, he fell, they couldn't get him up & called 911. He's been in the ICU ever since & they don't even think he knows they’re there. He's very active in both his Church in Hamilton, Ontario & also when up here on the Manitoulin. He also stepped in when our Minister needed a break too….He's just such a good man &…🥲. Anyway, if you could send some Prayers up North please & thank you? Take Care!!
