it's just makes me smile for words like these. My suggestion would be to stop worrying too much and pronounce it exactly the way you see it. After all, English is not a complicated language. ⚘️
Amazing, no one cares more about their teaching material they use than You. I've never met so helpful explanations. I just don't understand why you don't have million subs. Where all those people who need good english?
Very good video! Do you have a video about the words "started' and "recorded"? These 2 are tricky for people like me who speak Spanish. I notice that I can't pronounce it in the American way... However I can in the British way (not changing the pronunciation of the T in started and the first D in recorded)
thank a lot Coach Shane, i like your videos, they are not boring and very clear. BTW do you have any video about the AR sound? I had the impression this sound was the combination of short a + R sound but have seen your mouth movement and the A is more like a short o sound. Thanks.
Dear coach, thank you very much for this video; it was really really helpful to me. Do you have any video where to learn when we use Ch as a sound K (chemical, psychics, schedule, etc ) and Ch just as it sounds (channel, chest, chemist, chart, etc)? Thank you very much.
Some day people will write `TORD` instead of `TOWARD`, I shouldn`t wonder. Probably Modern English was conceived in such a way far back in the past, who knows... That`s the SECRET of Shane! :-) But seriously, hats off to Shane! He is wonderful in the person of coach!
Hey teacher first of all your channel is very helpful and my favorite channel so thanks for the good work you doing.and I'm trying to find your podcast on iTunes but I couldn't find so many channel come up with English practice so how do I find yours...
Why in "fly towards the sky" you added a "s"? oh, "I'm helping you towards a better future" so, you're gonna double check. That's my question: are toward and towards interchangeable?
Thanks a lot, this video made it simple for me. I panicked when i looked for the pronunciation on the dictionary and found this and I said what!!!!.. /tɔrd, toʊrd, twɔrd, twoʊrd/ also towards, /tɔrdz, toʊrdz, twɔrdz, twoʊrdz/
Trickiie I would NOT say it is wrong!! But, where do you live? Do the other native English speakers around you say the word like that? If yes, then you are good!
Very good video. Thanks for the tip... Teacher, there are too many words that can be reduced like "toward" and americans use them all the time... It's impossible to achieve a perfect american english. :( Well, at least for me. haha I'm a scrub at english... I love english, though. More than my native language, It's my life goal to live either in the US or Canada. I'd be really happy there... You're a great teacher. I wish I knew you in real life so we could have a cold one together. Anyway, thanks again!! Impressive video... Good day!! And stay off drugs, T!
***** ey!! I was just joking! :) Thanks a lot for your lessons. When I started to learn english it was funny to found out that there is not a word for USA´s nationality... I mean... (Spain-spanish-european), (Colombia-colombian-american) (United Mexican States-mexican-american) (Cuba-cuban-american) (United states of america-??????-american) I hope you were able to understand my bad english!!! :)
Alfonso Farfán I totally understand your very good English!!! Actually, it was my DDM students who "taught" me that EVERYONE in North and South America was American!!! I was massively embarrassed!!! In my case, I'm United States of America--'merican!!!
CoachShane's Daily Dictation hahahahaah in spanish there is a word for that... "estadounidense". (estados unidos-estadounidense-americano) People all around europe would called America to the continent more than 250 years before USA claimed their independece, thats is why it always shock me to hear the american president saying: "God bless america" Anyways... it was a joke. Thanks again for your lessons and your patient when teaching.
it's just makes me smile for words like these. My suggestion would be to stop worrying too much and pronounce it exactly the way you see it. After all, English is not a complicated language.

I never thought I’d be researching how to pronounce basic words. But, here I am curious about why some people say TO-WARD and I say TWARD🤣
Why in "fly towards the sky" you added a "s"?
oh, "I'm helping you towards a better future" so, you're gonna double check.
That's my question: are toward and towards interchangeable?
I looked it up and it seems that they are interchangeable, but 'towards' is more common in british english and 'toward' in american.
