Yeah, the low frequencies from the bass and drums can reduce the life of those drivers. They should have attached an equalizer between the music source and the speaker, and reduce all of the frequencies below 300 Hz. A high-pass filter would have been even better.
Adam Ohm no, low frequency does not harm loudspeaker drivers, unless it is above their rated wattage, but any frequency can. It just can’t reproduce lower frequencies very well
Here i am on my main account. If a program like Audacity or a high pass filter to filter out the dangerous frequencies, then you could do this for as long as you want, or just do it at reduced power.
It is not one of those electromechanical sirens, it is actually an electric one which means you can hook up an amp and connect it to any computer/smartphone and play whatever you want.
