bro, it's already over the top if you compared it to what we had 3 years ago, perfomance are great, be satisfied with what you have or it will never be enough,
May not be a true low profile card but MSI made a 4060Ti/4070 Ti X Slim version which is more smaller than the typical/regular 4060 Ti/4070Ti's out there. I actually made a small Lian Li Q58 build with the MSI 4060Ti(16GB) White X Slim, i7-13700k, 32GB RAM and 1 1TB m.2(OS) and a 6TB 2.5 WD SSD(for the games + misc). Forgot to add that I game at 1080p@144fps at high settings in all games and am completely happy with my little powerhouse lunchbox lol
This is definitely the type of build I'd go for today-because it is legitimately tiny....but have no need to upgrade yet. My last pc build from a few years ago was a sff, but still huge and heavy though smaller than a mid-tower. They need to keep shrinking gpu's and power supplies so we can have super small pc's. Because I'm a renter, we have to move around every few years, so lugging these boxes around is a pain in the azz and I don't trust movers not to damage these delicate and costly machines-so I move them myself. Something this small would be ideal because you can throw it and all your cables and stuff in a backpack.
I wish they would release a 4070lp. Nice to see more options with FlexATX coming out, the PSU was typically the limiting factor in ITX builds, even SFX is limiting if you want to go with half-height cards. Still wish these case manufacturers would stop cheating around the expansion card brackets. Just extend the case rearward and make them internal. Who cares about the .2L penalty? If the bracket is sticking out it's effectively that much bigger already.
@@Spyke_misc Yeah that's the kind of power envelope I was thinking of. Single 8-pin mounted on the end close to the motherboard (same orientation as current 4060lp, just shimmied over so the cable is even more out of the way). I'd want such a PCB not just for LP cards, but also regular ones for more efficient cooling.
i think a 5060 lp would be able to do 4k gaming due to the double chip in 1 format they're going for 5000 series. a 5070 will stil require too much psu power
*The Asrock Deskmini+Ryzen 5700G:* Is still my preferred super-compact, yet powerful, mini Pc solution. I have two identical ones built. One is my everyday use Pc, and the other is a dedicated Emulation/gaming comp.

Normally I know the PC gaming community is very anti-frame generation, but this is a perfect example of how the right use case can make the feature shine. This is a teeny tiny gaming PC that was just able to run a new AAA title at 1440p ~90fps. That's actually incredible and though they can be very anti-consumer with their pricing, Nvidia definitely deserves some praise for that one.
I am anti-frame generation and upscaling because it's a crutch that will make developers optimize their games less and less to the point the only way to play any game is using upscaling and frame generation.

Definitely needs some case feet (if the case doesn't come with any). You can grab a set of 4 "bumper pads" for a few bucks at most hardware stores and stick them to the bottom
This case is actually 5.045 liters and not 4.8L, they've likely advertised the interior dimensions in an attempt to make it look better than it is. Being 5L puts it firmly in the class of the Velka 5, a case that can fit a 4070 Ti Super and however much CPU you're comfortable running at 95C. If you don't care about graphics as much the Velka 3 is under 4 liters (legitimately) and it still manages to fit a full height dual slot ITX card so it'll do a 4060 Ti where this case only does a 4060.
6:15, I understand the allure of having it stand upright, but choking the GPU of any fresh air doesn't seem like a good longterm idea, so to keep it temp friendly I'd personally just put it flat in this scenario, at least there's mesh on the side (actually top) panel, so it can still get fresh air in from there. I'd definitely consider this if building something ITX, sure you sacrifice some future upgrade paths by having an onboard CPU, size limit due the case and power capacity due to PSU size, but these are acceptable compromises when trying to build so small and compact. I also find it very enjoyable to build such small machines and trying to make sure they're still good performance per dollar but also not too loud / hot, I only got into it recently though, I always just went with midi towers, but then I wanted less space to be taken, and felt like ATX cases just waste so much space, plus ITX coolers and AIOs make it much more feasible these days to make a good rig, same with the existence of decent slim fans.
This with a 7945x3d would be killer. I wonder if they make this all in one mobo eith that chip. It’s crazy to me how more gaming laptops don’t use that 7945x3d because it kills the 14900hx in almost every game.
I've started getting the itch to update my rig but it's a custom watercooled 9900k+2080 Super with 2x360mm radiators and it still works really well. And it's SO QUIET! I want to go small but I prioritize silence. And I've got a 3440x1440 ultrawide so way more pixels to push. Maybe another couple of GPU generations will get me a graphical upgrade while also downsizing.

can you make a SFF 4070
the BD790i seems to suffer from the problem that the BIOS doesn't save the setting after being disconnected from power. Does your unit have the same issue?
After all those pre-built mini pc's and handhelds - some actual SFF content. I like all your content using this well thought-out case, but PLEASE don't suffocate the gpu anymore. Either install case feet, or just lay it down flat, so it has access to air. Each time you build in this case, in every video it's featured, it's always blocked by the table and that's not the intended way.
