With the open back exhaust on the built-in heatsink, you could actually skip top-mounting a fan if you used a super-slim case (I'm thinking 1U rack mount) with positive pressure airflow to blow through it. That would allow for a super slim build, perhaps in a keyboard drawer under your desk or, as mentioned before, in a small 1U case (one of the shorter 18" depth ones perhaps) you could mount there instead and not even need a full rack setup. Plus cable management would be a breeze, haha.

not a single word about bios, ram freq. timings, PCI managing...
Not bad for $399 USD on Amazon
Look again, this one is not on amazon yet. That you’re looking is an amd version, with an Ryzen 7 7745hx if I remember correctly.
Looks like Erying might have given a little inspiration here.
Thanks a lot! What model is your test bench?
I bought it for my mini itx build to pair with rtx 4060 low profile.
How is it
@user-hy4xz1qt9h is all good. Temps reaching 80 easy. I have 7.3 litre case quite small with not much ventilation. To give better temps I will mount 2 x 120mm external fans. Although 80 - 90 degress under load is normal temps for 13900hx. Everything else is fine
@@algatronalgirdas thanks for replying. do you play games or make music
@@user-hy4xz1qt9h I build mini pc mostly for gaming and a bit of other work. I have also gaming laptop which is now going to be used for other tasks. Before I used gaming laptop for gaming and work.
Dope 🎉🎉🎉
would this be good for streaming?
Yeah!
Great video and thanks for the windows discounts!
Q: Why are old computers beige and new computers black?
buying links are broken
6:45 - It should have been called the 4060 Super.
that motherboard combo is 700USD or 550£.
As much as i love idea of motherboards like that - i will be honest with 1 thing... i am totally skipping minisforum product because of that cooler - it is just bad
Erying on Ali currently only gives mobile Intel options - but from 10 to 13th gen and also in mITX and mATX
and Erying one alowes for ANY kind of desktop cooler to be used :/
GPU mountable motherboards the future
Intel turbo clock values are so scummy. You might hit that 5ghz for basically 5 seconds.
look like perfect nas+home cloud
You could get a mac m2 mini for the same $ and get similar performance for creators
Well, this here is hugely expandable, Where's Mac Mini isn't... :)
@@theTechNotice it's pretty limited. The Mac has a better integrated GPU and external storage is easy to add. It also offers a faster 10gb ethernet option. This has limited pcie slots so only an expensive GPU, and possibly more storage. Neither is really expandable, but the added internal nvme are nice, but mac can use fast thunderbolt storage in potentially much greater amounts.
@@barryobrien1890 lol. Compare how much it would cost to have 96gb ram in a mac studio, and INTERNAL drive with fast speeds such as pcie 4.0 (7000mbs seq read write) OR even pcie 5.0 speeds if not using an external gpu . However if you put an AMD gpu in this, you can install Hackintosh and murder the mac studio for 1/3 of the cost. No thunderbolts or 10gbe in this case, in other builds you could have those though. look into the Minisforum MS-01 for dual 10gbe and usb 4 slots, but slower gpu possible as well as cpu.
@@barryobrien1890 I have mine setup with 96GB of RAM, while the mini maxes at 32GB. So, 4TB of Storage (2 NVME), 96GB of RAM and an rtx 4060 £1600. While a similarly specced Mac Mini would be £3000 1/3 the ram and lesser GPU power, or £4300 for a Mac Studio with same amount of RAM. Now, Mine is for AI development, so it has a an RTX A6000, which makes is more expensive than the Studio, but in AI you need Nvidia and no Mac offers competitive option.
That little thing is a powerhouse
Ah yes, nothing says RUclips like a sketchy key reseller sponsorship
Thanks for the CD Key bro!
👏
I kinda don't see a reason to buy this, you can get an ITX board with the features you want, here you are limited to what you get, RAM choices also limited. If you get a desktop i7 chip/7900 for the AMD variant and power tune it then you match this thing. SFX PSU you need to buy anyway. Still don't see a reason to get this over a normal ITX combo, there might be some price difference but nothing ground-breaking. Nice review tho
It's essentially a laptop mini-itx build.
AMD and Intel have had soldered on cpu for many many years. Even on full sized ATX
Does this board support bifurcation?
you are seriously active as if u are surprised by a soldered CPU?
Does the BIOS support 8x8x bifurcation?
I think I recall someone saying that there was a bios update that enabled bifurcation on these.
I surely hope so. For a dual NVLinked 3090 workstation, this would be awesome and compact.
at 0:35 can you upgrade it to something better ? like windows 7 or kde neon
👍👍👍👍👍👍but 64 Gb ????🤔for?................
This one is amazing
