I feel like the way they handled Nemesis is representative of the whole game. Awesome, fun, has moments of greatness, but it's juuuuust not enough, it's close, but they could've done more. It's like "leave them wanting more", except they gave us RE2 first, so we already had more. If this came first, I don't think it'd be as much of a problem.

This game should have been bundled with Resident Evil 2 Remake as one whole game; Even Capcom admitted they wanted them to be One game, but then greed took over and they split them for maximum profit
They're talking about remaking 4 first, which I honestly think shouldn't happen at all, its a waste They should remake code veronica and then just remaster the others if they want
Honestly, it’s the perfect game to get on sale I think, that’s what’ll I do with this one. I absolutely loved RE2, but that one had a ton more content.
The sad thing is that I did the same with RE2, got the deluxe edition for around $24. Even if I get this game on sale, it's still less bang-for-your-buck than 2 was.
RE1 Remake still remain the gold standard on how to make a remake because not only they improve the game, they also add more locations, side stories, and boss.
I literally just watched a video about how the manscaped lawnmower is a terrible product, and now I click on this video and the first thing I see is manscaped.
Nemesis sucked. 80% of encounters with him are demos and they took out all puzzles and clock tower. The whole idea of nemesis was he chased you throughout the game.
@Tom Rees Mr. X was also only a scripted encounter and the remake changed that and made him a constant threat. They should have done the same for a BOW nicknamed “The Pursuer.”
Tom Rees i remember when I was a kid and played the original and I would run as quickly as possible just to get into to any room so nemesis wouldn’t kill me. That was almost the entire game. It was scripted but he was constantly after you. In this he’s just on you for the beginning of the game and the rest are boss fights and demos. Also the 2nd and 3rd boss fight are pretty much the exact same one.
bryann go exactly. I was looking forward to the remake of nemesis killing brad but they cut that out. He doesn’t even smash through walls to catch you or anything. Like wtf?
I honestly do agree that the content is a bit lacking in terms of length but, I genuinely loved the game. I have beaten it three times going on my fourth. To me it was worth the price tag just because I wnjoyed the story and have done it so much and plan on playing it more.
@@mikeehrmantraut1899 True, that is why I agreed with him. I just said from my personal opinion that I genuinely enjoyed the story and have played through it multiple times and plan to continue to do so. I never said that it was incredibly long haha.
Probably a die hard RE fanboy that thinks Re7 has nothing to do with other Re games so therefore it's shit, if you actually played the game which I doubt since literally everyone that's played it thinks it's good you would know the mold is actually a disease created by a rival of Umbrella, that infected a family after the ship it was on crashed in a bayou. Also gameplay wise the game is a really good horror game and btw, it saved RE as a franchise.
Although I whole heartedly agree, I think the reason why the developers took away the stages and areas where Nemesis could constantly be on your ass is probably because of his running mechanic. Since he can run and grab you from quite a distance away, they were probably thinking “If we give Nemesis the same attention as Mr. X, it will be impossible to even temporarily escape Nemesis.” But I honestly think that would’ve made the game even more terrifying. Just hearing those fast heavy footsteps and the sound of Nemesis growling “Stars” behind you as he chases you through hallways. Holy shit that’d be badass, thanks to the creators for putting thought into it but they should’ve put more thought into it in all honesty.
I'm gonna pass. I feel as if they're going to release dlc that'll add more to the plot. Milk as much as they can. I'd rather play the original, which I still have.
Bruh. resistance sucked ass nobody is interessted in playing an online RE game lmao , I mean just the concept is not fun , unlike RE out break where u run around as 4 people in an RE game which is amazing , imagine if they remade that instead of Reisistance , the package outbreak + RE3 would've been 100000% worth 60$
@Play Gloria Except there's loads of people that have literally been judging the game by how it looks instead of playing it and telling other people to not play it.
Out the subject question: I've been binge watching old Charlie videos and giving them thumbs up. Noob question, does it matter about the thumbs up after a certain time? They're like years old and this dude along with Kaya make me crack up. I wish I knew about Charlie earlier but I just came back from the base.
People complained about the length of RE2 last year as well, insofar as to call it a 5 hour game. I sunk at least 30 hours into that. The gameplay and atmosphere is just so great to me that I love replaying it, going for all the records, S+ Hardcore runs, etc. Platinuming it was a joy, I loved every minute of it. So I really don’t understand the “it’s only 4-5 hours long” criticism (which it isn’t, by the way. First plays take at least 7-8 hours. The clear time does not include cutscenes, radio conversations, etc)
You have to understand. Aside from different difficulties there is absolutely no other modes. Atleast re2 has hunk and tofu but RE3 has nothing sadly. Aside from a really mediocre and boring multiplayer. What I’m trying to say is that the content here is so little unlike re2. Also re2 has different scenarios, bonus modes, and at least a b scenario even tho it wasn’t that good it gave us a little extra content as in the intro and end
A Ames I understand just fine. There is less content in the base RE3 versus RE2, agreed. There’s still probably 15-20 hours worth of stuff for me to do since I strive to platinum RE games and get all the records because I find them so enjoyable. But one of the things I find most disingenuous about people’s complaints about length versus cost is that RE3 is only half the $60 price tag. Most people seem to pretend Resistance doesn’t exist. Even Charlie made no mention of it in his review. If we choose to look at it that way, RE3 should easily be worth $30, at least to me. I’m still working on it though, and haven’t touched Resistance, so the jury’s still out. Is Resistance worthless? Maybe. Perhaps Capcom oversold the quality of it, or just used it to justify selling RE3 for $60. I was just pointing out the complete dishonesty of RE3 critics.
JScriv yeah I can see that I haven’t heard much of what critics said about it. But I did talk to some freinds who also bought the game and their opinion and mine are the same. Resistance is just isn’t good. It’s boring and not worth more than maybe 5-10 bucks at best. I do also believe that RE3 should’ve been around 30 bucks so if you add that with resistance it should’ve been 40$ which also would’ve been a better deal than 60$
@@aames1089 Let's not forget that RE2 had multiple character skins and unlockables that you could only get from completing the game at higher difficulties/better times. RE3 doesn't even have skins for Carlos, it's incredibly basic stuff that takes no time at all to make. That's why it's so blatantly obvious that the game was rushed.
i agree on most of what you said but the replay value thing i disagree on, maybe its just me because ive been an RE fan most of my life but ive replayed through the game multiple times to try and get a better rank. i genuinely enjoy the boss fights even though they are tedious and nemesis does feel like a bullet cushion, but again that might be just my bias. everything else is very well said! love you man

I loved this game. I just played it and I'm happy. It took me about 8.5 (irl time) hours to finish it and 5:59 was my IGT.(I died alot) It's an accurate retelling of the original. Those that say stuff was missing probably haven't played the original. 95/100 for me
@@BronsonFan111 nemesis in the orginal was scripted, they just hid it very well and with being able too kinda pick your own path you could delay and slightly change how he appeared, but he was 100% scripted
steve brownie Okay, that’s what I thought. I never played the original so I needed some clarification, but the whole scripted aspect I’m sure was there because there’s no way they could’ve done all that dynamically. But seeing that certain things can and can’t trigger it is really interesting!
Ok, they did not sell a 4-hour game for $60. They sold a 4-hour game and a multiplayer game for $60. As much as you may dislike it, that's the reality of the situation. If they consider RE3 as it's own game, that means they developed Resistance at cost. But it's there. It's part of the bundle. You can't just say: "I wasn't fond of the sewer section of the game, so I'm just gonna pretend it doesn't exist, and that they never sold it to me". You can go on all day about how you hate it (I know I will), but to say we paid $60 just for RE3 is just wrong. It's a false statement. You can't judge RE3's price without acknowledging Resistance as part of the game.
@@mow9062 This is a COMPLETELY NEW game. Yes i understand, its based off the original but it is NOT the same game. It's a whole different experience... and he spoiled some of it
The game is not 4 hours long, it doesn’t count cutscenes, replays, and I think a lot of other stuff. My clear time did show something like 4:15, but my total playtime was 6:40. So it’s more like a 6-8 hour game
Bruh... $60? For a 4-5 hour long campaign? You could go to the movie theater and see three separate 2 hour long movies for about $10 each and still not spend $60.
[SPOILERS] Am i just the only one who just feels like they missed they missed so much opportunities with adding more content into the game like for example, they could've added more content into the game with Carlos after Jill passes out after boss fight due to Nemesis infecting her with T virus, they could've literally made more gameplay inbetween that 12 hour mark with Carlos trynna find Jill like that being the objective, it really ANNOYS me that they didn't we would've seen more of the city instead of it feeling so exclusive and small, and it would've made the game longer. And then what happens next instead of all that, cuts to black then Carlos finding her *picks Jill up leaves* *cuts to black* then all of a SUDDEN where at the hospital, amazingly in ONE piece, i really wish instead of all this, there would've been a segment where Carlos has his AR with him and Jill on his back at the same time and you have to traverse to the hospital, while exploring more of Racooon City with zombies infested on the streets where you gotta put jill down and deal with the zombies at the same time while trying to protect Jill from them, that would've been somthing, again couldve seen more of the city but nope capcom didnt wanna put in the effort feels kinda lazy tbh like they just missed so much oppertunities but who knows maybe they ran outta time also please someone tell me they think the same.
omg you literally have the same thoughts as me. i was thinking the same thing. as someone who just got into RE bcs of RE7 and RE2re, i dont get the hate behind the recent remake. for me, it's mostly bcs of nostalgia reasons some fans have (it's called a remake ffs, the game is bound to have contents added or cut out) and maybe bcs of overhype. I've seen what happen to an overhype game (im looking at you, FFXV). I think it's quite a good game, despite its short gameplay hours and the price is really not worth it. if it's around 40dollars or less, it would still be an okay deal. it was such a waste opportunity that they didnt include more like what u said above about carlos having to fight his way through the horde of zombies in the city with jill on his back, so that they could get to the hospital. i hope they would atleast update the game with additional/missed out content like how ffxv developers did to ffxv. but when i think about it, even if they did follow the same formula from the original, the timeline wouldn't have tally with the RE2remake. but what do i know, im just a new fan of the modern RE universe hahahahaha
Nova Rodriguez don’t crucify me but I am a sucker for DLC. I hate when a game is sold incomplete but love when they go back and fix or explain things that make the game better. I have only played RE2 and seen most of RE3 and I think the game would benefit from tie in episodes that more clearly link up the story and fix all the inconsistencies. I want to see evidence of mr. X hunting down every last survivor while Carlos has to hid from him while X is going to the under ground lab. I need to see more of a city that won’t exist after the game and I hated how cramped RE3 feels to 2. I loved how in 2 you could go back anywhere and I don’t think that is true for 3 and I don’t like that. Side note I think mr. X’s final form in 2 was weird but it would make sense if nemesis infected him so he could finish the job instead of X getting infect with the G virus with is what I am guessing they are implying. Final side note I want to see more Ada because I felt like she was just in 2 and not a part of it so her doing things with the umbrella team makes sense to me.
EXACTLY. They could've made it a game segment. It could probably extend Carlos' story... He could've encountered the Grave Digger in the park that he needs to pass through, then after that he needs to enter the Clock Tower to get to Jill... I mean they are extending and making Carlos a bigger character now, so they could've give them this. Still I enjoyed the game so much, finished it 7 times already.
The thing I hate about the RE series is how many shots the zombies take. One head shot would be nice, but it takes at least 3 to the head, or like 5-7 if u only hit the body.
The games would be far too easy if the zombies only took one headshot. If you start adding more zombies, you venture into mindless action, which the series has been to a couple times, and that didn't go well for critical reception.
5:07 no you’re pulling a Dunkey on this one. He said “don’t know, don’t care, i was ordered to reduce Umbrella to rubble” it makes sense and it isn’t debatable. You can not like it, but you can’t say it was out of character or non-sensible.

For me and most people I’ve seen it took 6 hours on hardcore with over an hour of cutscenes and then you unlock nightmare mode. You also get a multiplayer mode with the game.
If you are good with 3rd person shooters its even faster than that unfortunately. My first run through was on hardcore and took 2 hours and 40 minutes with getting all weapons and upgrades. I am disappointed with this game.

Finished the game in less than 4 hours. Capcom should've taken their time to add a little more content to it.
Or just left a lot more of the original content in it. I was so fucking surprised when I started it and you already meet Carlos at the beginning well shit happened to getting to the train car
From what I’ve heard they cut like half of the original game out
@@flecjohnson5150 dumb choice, even tho I never played the originals I'm not going to pay 60 bucks for an around 5 hours of gameplay, if the originals were made in hd I'd buy even with the tank controls.
Little??
At least they should've made the game a little bit longer 5 hours in my opinion is too short
Exactly.

Nemesis sucked. 80% of encounters with him are demos and they took out all puzzles and clock tower. The whole idea of nemesis was he chased you throughout the game.
Ali Rohan actual no it’s not. In the original game, nemesis was always scripted just like in this one
@Tom Rees Mr. X was also only a scripted encounter and the remake changed that and made him a constant threat. They should have done the same for a BOW nicknamed “The Pursuer.”
The Cave Troll They Had yeah I agree with you. Just see a lot of people saying he was always chasing you in the original which he wasn’t haha.

I want a zombie esque game where it's just the initial outbreak and you're trying to survive by yourself as a civilian.

All I know is I got both remake editions for $32 instead of 75 and I very happy with these games
💯💯
I love how Nemesis literally kills everyone but the person he was sent to kill.
It was clearly a rushed title. I still am enjoying it however. And the replay value for unlocks is fun.

I'm glad you didn't get rid of Jackson's intro
Can you do the movie "Promare" next, please.
i agree on most of what you said but the replay value thing i disagree on, maybe its just me because ive been an RE fan most of my life but ive replayed through the game multiple times to try and get a better rank. i genuinely enjoy the boss fights even though they are tedious and nemesis does feel like a bullet cushion, but again that might be just my bias. everything else is very well said! love you man

Hey Charlie her to say keep grinding out tgis great content and keep streaming much love from me and fans
Is Jackson on estrogen or did they use a lady for the intro??

Charlie is promoting ball trimmers now. This is the content i wanna see.
Dude, manscaped's trimmer is a mini torture device
The thing I hate about the RE series is how many shots the zombies take. One head shot would be nice, but it takes at least 3 to the head, or like 5-7 if u only hit the body.
The games would be far too easy if the zombies only took one headshot. If you start adding more zombies, you venture into mindless action, which the series has been to a couple times, and that didn't go well for critical reception.
When you thought the video was over, but you hear “hairy balls” after the meter
All the zombies take 50 headshots to die. And then they come back after they have a hole in their skull, only bad thing.
That’s resident evil for u
5:07 no you’re pulling a Dunkey on this one. He said “don’t know, don’t care, i was ordered to reduce Umbrella to rubble” it makes sense and it isn’t debatable. You can not like it, but you can’t say it was out of character or non-sensible.
