Fun fact, his dad is Tom Roth, who is heavily invested in "Affluent funding inc" he is also coincidentally involved with "Andrea Roth Real Estate Team" they manage Waterfront Properties & Club Communities. Hence why his son has the opportunity to take care of those large properties. Nevertheless he seems to know how to run a business.

Kid runs a tight operation. I will say, if you’re another 21 year old kid seeing this and you’re NOT doing 5 million dollars in revenue, that’s completely fine. This kid had a great opportunity with his dad and growing up wealthy, which is a lot of the reason he’s able to do this. He’s still a beast of an operator, but don’t let comparison steal your pride in your own business.

I’ve worked for all the big companies here in central Florida . I used to work for one won’t mention name, but short story so I won’t bore you guys is they would give you certain time at each property per day literally. If you had equipment go down employee slacking you still had to finish it at that time or face being fired. They also would not allow stops at any store for nothing. They wanted to squeeze every once of strength out of your body before you went home. Lasted four months and left I just can’t work under conditions that are setup for you to fail everyday you go to work. Employees turnover was high do to many rules. You will be in business, but once you hit the top that’s it only way to go is down seen many companies cap out, and closed down shops to downsize. Another big point they contracted people from Mexico or else they wouldn’t have enough workers to do any job right. Peace out keep grinding.

You’d be surprised how many people stop at gas stations for multiple trips that equal more than 30 min to an hour. Also..giving them a card to use at the pump is also scary. They get gas and just happen to use a gas can to fill their tank and so forth. It’s hard to keep up with without a system. Also..cameras in the truck help him and possibly help the employee. Driving while on their phone and getting in an accident can make the business go away with the right (wrong) thing happening.

The second you let things slide next thing you know they are spending 2-3 hours stopping at gas stations. tracking fuel is a must. not only for bottom line for tax reasons too. Warmer climate and people who don't want to do their own landscaping with plenty of money. The only thing that would put me off, is all the critters you'd come across while cleaning up a yard.

I don't know how close your bids for jobs are to your competitors but if you gave your crews some leniency and estimated 15 bags/hr for one guy instead of 20, you might not work them to death come busy season. Your turnover might improve

Can you ask him where he got his box trucks customized? I live in central FL and I’m running an interior demo biz. I’m running cargo vans right now but looking to scale up at the beginning of ‘25. I like his side dump and drop ramp in the back, would be perfect for my guys

I've had my own business since 2002 and this guy is doing everything I do. buy the best equipment and the teams will appreciate working for you and work efficiently. Best tools for the job sets you apart from the rest. (non college here either, you can't learn this stuff)
