People on here hating acting like they wouldn’t do the same for their kids 🤦🏻♂️ his parents obviously busted their ass and raised a kid that’s doing the same. If I’m ever super wealthy you better believe I’m going to do whatever I can to make sure I help my kid be successful, but they will have to put in the work just like this guy is doing.
I think that most people’s hang up is the fact he comes from money so therefore he had the money to start this business. Yes, he appears to have huffed it a little but, he’s just a figurehead now while the real work is done by his office workers and the really real work done by the the illegals working for him. He probably doesn’t even speak Spanish. Did you notice the short height and brown skin of his employees? He’s not hiring black or white Americans as they probably wouldn’t work for his company’s manual labor wage.
Time is money but, he has his “people “ take extra control because he doesn’t trust his manual laborers. They are not allowed to stop at gas stations even to get snacks or drinks. It’s a chain-gang without the chains. They have to turn their personal vehicle keys in as a guarantee he’ll get his trucks back.
He talks about the relationships. His is to his wealthy parents and his mother’s real estate company’s connections through her sales in the subdivisions. SHE is his “in” because the HOA’s will know the realtors. So he gets in and gets the HOA contract and hires a few office workers and a lot of low paid workers and he’s making the easy money.
Oh, and that Latino truck driver that pulled forward when he walked up without warning and opened a side hatch on the work truck was probably gone at the end of the day especially with how many times the RUclipsr brought it up.
I say, more power to him but, don’t act like it’s some super impressive feat the kid did on his own. Trust me, I know the type. I was in a fraternity and had a roommate in college that was not the brightest bulb but, he did listen to his grandfather and followed in his footsteps straight into being CEO of his grandfather’s company when he died (his dad died earlier) never having worked ANY manual labor job at the company. The company controls around 60% of a highly profitable and always needed product in the US.
I didn’t want to work in my family’s businesses and I paid my own way through college then worked for a few fortune 100 companies before going out on my own auditing corporations on their compliance to governmental regulations, international accounting standards, international manufacturing standards, international safety standards, and international IT standards. I sold out and retired early due to health (acute rheumatoid and psoriatic arthritis) concerns. I now voluntarily without compensation visit area high schools and colleges to talk to students. I want them to think about what makes them happy and to think about how to hopefully turn that into a profitable career and happy life. It keeps my mind fresh and I enjoy the interactions learning about people’s aspirations.

I saw you said something about illegal workers, you have no clue if they are illegal or not. I’ve worked with legal Hispanics and illegal and they work circles around anyone else but they choose to be there and are grateful for the work. This kid is helping those workers feed their families, I don’t see anything wrong with that.
This young man knows the metrics of his business and when a company grows to this size you only achieve efficiency when understand your time and cost in doing any task

There's probably more to it. When we decided to do HOA work, we had to have connections. We had to have someone on the inside who gave us and idea of the existing companys proposal so we could make a competitive proposal so we could obtain the account. From there on out, we learned the business and how to bid similar properties. There's nothing illegal about it if its private business. They wanted us to do the property. We didn't have the experience biding on those type of properties. It was mutually beneficial. Im sure the same went on here with his mother being plugged into the real estate industry. The property owners were probably patient with him while he was learning too. There's nothing wrong with this. This is the result of networking and having meaningful relationships with others.
The driver kept going while the owner was trying to open the door, I love that... they are on a mission to get stuff done. Good job!!!

This kid is smart listening him speak took years for me to comprehend. I’m true believer don’t just buy something to say you got it, but because you need it to keep the wheels moving. Interest rates are high so only buy what you need. I do mostly residential at the moment want small commercial in the near future. I concentrate in one subdivision in Florida. Lucky ten years from now sky’s the limit. Keep grinding until the wheels fall off. God bless you.

Yeah, he didn't fall off the Turnup truck yesterday. His family either had or has ties in that industry I'm sure. Plus, the area that he's in, just about demands perfection in all aspects of the HOA department. What helps him out is he doesn't have to worry about communication with each and every home owner in each of the HOA's . That's a huge break for his business. Keep up the great work and continue to expand what you are doing. A lot of people will be trying to figure out what, how you got going and trying to duplicate it. Good luck and God bless

Love the video. Well organized company. My only complaint is that he needs a better relationship with employees. I understand being proficient, but he didn't interact with any employees that helped him get where he is. No hello how are you or thank you for a wonderful job..... i own a business and know everyone by name and give positive reinforcements. Makes them feel more valued

Stop paying $100 a load to dump your tree clippings and stop paying for bagged mulch. Drop a couple hundred grand on a mulch tub grinder/dying machine combo, make bulk colored mulch at your facility and corner that market.

Great work but they should have Yellow light bars on the roofs of their trucks for safety. It is easier to see yellow flashing lights on the top of the trucks vs just using emergency flashers.
It helps alot when your family comes from wealth and can finance alot of your equipment etc.
So his parents worked hard and became successful then helped their kid grow a business that he’s killing it with and putting in the work, you’re telling me you wouldn’t do that for your kid? look at how much pharma spent to have their product names thrown around on House M.D. back then, and check them out now...many of them became banned for killing or injuring people. EVERYTHING is paid for as advertising for your hard earned $$$$$$

It's a difficult process to go through when getting approved for visa workers and doing everything legal. Sure, some immigrants get socials and even fake socials. It's just a sketchy game to play because if they do something bad and they aren't who you thought they were etc. not fun

I could see Lucky landscaping could making more by doing a public garbage (the trash cans along/ on the path or the ones around a retaining pound) with a pick up (650 or 6500) pick up truck or make more doing pressuring washing.
Then it wouldn’t be landscaping😅 everyone is always trying to supplement revenue with other services. He hasn’t even maximized his market yet.
It’s maximizing the HOA. Though you’re correct in saying it’s not landscaping. But could turn it to property maintenance. But belive he said he wants to maximize and focus on and be a one stop shop for HOA.
I’m not trying to force him or anything but these services could be outsourced to a company that does do landscaping, pressure washing, tree work and more and all be in one company.
From the HOA perspective also, I’d rather pay one company that’s good and I have a relationship with, to do the work then pay another company to hire 5 companies to do the work. Also from the business side, giving them a discount since they bundle, would work to his advantage.
Cause if you’re stuck in one mindset of doing just one thing you’re not going to get far. For example, if you’re just cutting grass company’s then offer spring and fall clean ups because they wanna maximize their earnings and offer more services.
Also, if you look at companies, growth is key so you could be stuck doing the same thing all day but if you’re growing and expanding with in your means and company. People meaning clients, employees will wanna stick with you and employees too.
But if you do just landscape in commercial, companies either go with the least expensive option or go with the companies that are going to offer the most benefit to them while still offering a great service.
Example, I was a security contractor at Walmart, they had a company come and street sweep, another pick up garbage from the bushes and non parking areas and then another company to do the landscaping and one more doing the snow. After talking with one of the guys that did the trash pick up from the bushes. He bought a street sweeper couple months later. He got 5 more Walmarts to pick garbage and street sweep. I asked him why do landscaping also and when I moved from Walmart to a different site. I had to cover a shift and he was doing the landscaping, snow removal, street sweeping, and garbage for like 20 Walmarts. All just his company was just there to do “one thing”.
13:30...that over stretched damaged spring on the ramp of that truck is about to break...somebody could lose a hand or arm or leg or face eye ear over it....that's be an easy $5m lawsuit

the trailer light problem is the wires are for tiny 4x6 utility trailers with the most minimal copper wire and the worst junctions and connectors and grounds possible because they aren't weather proofed. the best advice i have heard was from a cajun guy who said to get 50-100' electrical cords from the box stores and 16-14-12 gauge depending upon how many axels, so 2 axels is 14 gauge because you are running trailer brakes, and rewire them and solder the connectors to the lights wires and then liquid tape them or use the solder wire connectors you can do with a heat gun. did that to my 1999 tandem axel H&R 16' car trailer in 2003 and just recently replaced the lights with ALL LED's a few years ago...have never had an issue with the wiring or lights..have had an 8pin to 6pin adapter fail tho but that's on the truck end so could have put an 8pin plug on despite only needing 6 pins, but this way it's one more theft deterrent or way for them to be caught.

We are in the trash business! I started my first customer at 22 yo! Back then people couldn't believe I was the owner! It's really not that bad if you're willing to work and of course, be organized and responsible with your money! One of my past investors who was very wealthy told me once, that even though he had money even millionaires have their limits! Just bigger limits, but they have them! He's passed away now, but I'll always remember that for the rest of my life! Know your limits!

I dont have hoa's like that around me. Most of the time, i won't do hoa's. I'll check what the customer pays to a hoa, and honestly, most of the time, they dont pay enough for me to even make a profit. So i stay away from them. But it seems like these kinds of hoa's will pay. For 100k $ rigs, im about to pay off my first truck to buy a second, and it's taken 4 years.
Per my comment above today, I understand and agree with your statement. HOA's here are a great way to work for pennies on the dollar. In early 2000's I had most all HOA''s in our area, I was teamed up with the largest real estate and property management company. Now, I happily have given every single one of them away. The young new companies all just want to work at the large properties, until they realize they literally are working for next to nothing compared to just working for single family homes. Also don't buy a single piece of equipment to serve that HOA specifically because when they see a slight increase in your proposal for next year, out the window you go for the next cheaper guy.

If you could be so kind to see my comment above asking a question to this video I would be very grateful. I am 42 and have done this since age 11. I did put myself through college with a bachelors in landscape design and plant science. I toured the entire east coast with college sitting in on the largest companies round tables. We are up north south of Buffalo NY. Our struggle is employees. We don't have the work force. We do very well for ourselves but every year, we walk away to half of what we gross in potential work that is ours to have and not even work that is being asked for a price, its literally ours to have. We just can't land the workers. We don't have any hispanic work force here. I tip my hat to you and your company. I am amazed as a seasoned in the field worker and owner. Congratulations !

If this were true, as a life long green industry professional myself, congratulations. I guarantee he still has to bid the job. Not a single HOA is going to just hand someone a contract without doing their DD and pricing. Then once landed he still has to properly serve that customer and meet or exceed expectations.
Way I look at it he may have some things that benefit him like his dads connections but his business has to perform and meet expectations or they wouldn’t be where they are

He made a very good point at the end about people being legit. 80% of "Landscaping companies" are not a real businesses. Just because you make a business card does not make you a business. This industry is just going to keep getting harder and harder to get into because all of you suckers who just do cash/check have a rude awakening coming.
