We think we're doing okay in business, but might need pointers on the youtube side. Enjoy watching the videos and always say similar things from an outsiders perspective, but staying on track to implement them when sh!t is busy always is a different story
My painting business I need help growing
Im trying to do a routine maintenance and repair service for bicycles and small engines but working a regular job until i build up the business enough i can run the business full time
I think it’s awesome how he hired his disabled brother. Poor guy 😢
This young man is going to directly compete against Angi's List.
Thank goodness 😝
Good lol
Good! then maybe we will have an actually decent Business to deal with lol
Angi 💀
I unfortunately helped build that. I have a new site that will bring all contractors together and make customer reviews so customers have a rating too.
Great episode! Him saying “yeah” after everything Mike said got to me 😂
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
Yeah
yea
Ok... so it's not $4m company, it's a $360k company and he does have an employee? WTF is with the title being based on a speculative business?
😂😂 fr that’s what I was thinking
@@tylerklausen3934all of his titles are far off and click bait
So impressed by Nathan’s maturity and willingness to try new things! I honestly believe that with his creativity and resilience… he can 100% do whatever he puts his mind to.
That's my sister!
Dudes a killer! That is amazing how much he’s accomplished and how shortly after meeting with Mike! Keep at it brother!
Thanks man! I appreciate you a ton!
Great video Mike!! Super grateful you came out to Eagle, to help out Eagle! I really appreciate you a ton!!! And all the stuff you are doing to help small businesses. Know that I think about all the things you taught me all the time, and try to implement them every day.
You are the man! I got a little emotional when I saw your zoom call. You nailed it! Most people don’t execute and follow the advice as well as you. Go get em!
Thanks @@MikeAndes You're the man!
@TheNathanLarsen
Hey Nathan need help with a website would you be able to help ?
Hey everyone! Due to the high demand for websites, system implementation, partnerships in other states, and business advice, I'll be addressing all your questions in a RUclips video as soon as possible. I appreciate your understanding as I'm currently occupied with developing new systems. If I don't get back to you personally, please comment on the video, and I'll make sure to reply!
@@TheNathanLarsen- So after the contractor gets the job and is making the customer happy what is stopping him from firing Eagle and charging the customer at 90% directly? 🤷♂️
Mike come help me! 😂
Man, I almost want my business to fail so I can get to have Mike come out😭🤣.
Same😭
Damn lol..
Ready to risk it all🤣
Love this. Does my heart good to see the younger generation taking the bull by the horn
Mike you the man. Just watching you have grown my business in just 2 years to 150 customers and 6 commercial properties and just a 2 man crew right now. We are growing so fast in sc. at Sargent lawn care when we hit 300 customers we definitely reaching out. Thanks all you do.
Unreal kid! Kudos to the very young entrepreneur. Huge potential!
Great video, that’s a blessing. You never know I might see you later on down the road. Thanks
makes me so happy to see this young guy getting after it and using his God given talents to go build something special. Keep it up brother! Age is not a limiting factor I wish you all the best and my God bless your endeavors
Thanks so much brother! I'm going to keep at it for sure!
I remember when I was a kid, I went to a friends house, & I remember his dad asking me a something, & I replied saying "yeah" & he chewed me out, & said to never say "yeah" & watching this video reminded me of that, & I couldn't tell you how right my friends dad was. Kid is definitely going places, but definitely needs to stop saying yeah.
I had a drink everytime he said "yeah" 😂
One of the nicest and most honest guy ever running a business. He's been ripped off but he keeps a high spirit about and keeps pushing by. This company is amazing and I want to see this man trading on wall street one day.
Great episode !! Keep them coming Mike !
I never realized you were that short 😂 New to your videos, you're a brilliant dude! Love the concept! 👏👏👏
Dude’s gonna kill it because he believes and is takes action. So many people could learn from this guy. Computer skills are amazing too
Great to see a young man like this working hard at building a business.
I enjoyed the two month follow up
Been watching your videos for years Mike! Thanks for the great content! I think your channel is very underrated for the value and the video quality! I recently started making content, and had no idea how much work goes into content creation! 😅
Someone who actually listened to Mike, and made it work. Young man has a good head on his shoulders. The guys who are on this channel bragging about their $90,000 pickup truck, they can't afford, should take a lesson from him.
Baddass maan I hope you keep thriving!
God bless you Mike 👏👏👏 You are so insightful 👍
Kids talking about how he’s building everything and hooking it up to AI, I see Mike quietly thinking how much he is currently spending doing all of that!
😂😂 good for him! What he used isn’t really the AI chat. He is using the forms integration with Zapier and Copilot. I walk through how to do it here: ruclips.net/video/nLvCvQswr2M/видео.htmlsi=Pul9XOzGLxiQ9GPb
proud of this young man
Whats cookin? Great to see a young man like this working hard at building a business! Thanks for this video)))
Great business model!! Great job!
This young gentlemen is beyond impressive. Amazing stuff this man is going to build in the future it appears.
This young man is a beast!
17 years old, this is crazy. You are right, though. People would take advantage of that. If i were 17 and have that much work, I'd probably have to hire muscle to keep my staff from trying to take advantage. Keep it up, brother. I think I've heard this kid call into mikes lives before.
This is my favorite reply ever!! 💪💪💪💪
Appreciate you brother.
Great episode, sometimes you may actually need to use the skill that you are best at and not try to force things, but at least he tried that side of the business and is open to another avenue that he is best suited for.
Good vid 😂watching and hearing him saying yeah over and over get to my head lol why he keep saying yeah after everything Mike says 😂
Wow!! I did say "yeah" a lot. Funny the things you do when you're excited!! 😂😂
It happen bro no worries good job much success on your journey ❤️
Keep at it and for sure your going places
ur videos are fkin awesome and so informative man, Gave me the confidence to start my own business
Amazing!
This kid is awesome he’s going to do really good
Crazy for his age. What a great guy 👍
He’s talented
These young guys amaze me how much they can get done!!!
I use the ego trimmer as well but only need two 5 amp hour batteries to get me through the day. Sometimes only one.
How many hours of straight work can the two batteries do?
@@Kushert if its typical lawns all I need is 1 5.0 battery.for the day. If it's spring growth I'll take 2 5.0 batteries with me. But that is a full day. 6-8 work day. I try to be very efficient with them though. You don't pull the trigger if you don't need to.
@@creatingmind4910
Nice. That's impressive. I might have to buy one
@@KushertFor ego, I’d say you can get about 4-7 30 minute 1-2 man properties done with a 4ah. I personally use Greenworks 60v, 48/24v dual volt, Husqvarna 40v, Echo 56v for string trimmers and for the 60v platform on a 5ah using the multi attachment trimmer I’m able to trim 6-8 “maintained” properties on a single charge (30 minute 2 man properties). For Husqvarna I use a 9.4ah and get 8-10 properties of the same type done. For the Echo with a 5ah I get about 7-10 properties done of the same type. And the dual volt Greenworks commercial I get about 4 properties done on the 4ah big battery same type of properties (only reason I get poor runtime is because the trimmer I use (attachment capable) is really hard to feather down other than that it’s light and very powerful. I’d say that if you know how to use a battery trimmer to maximize runtime and follow tips like using twisted line which gets better cutting efficiency and runtime you can get through a full day with 3 batteries on almost any trimmer platform as long as the properties are maintained and as long as you have a trimmer that actually has “gas like power” because if you have a weak trimmer it tends to be less efficient.
We even use two backpack blowers, hedge trimmers, and a couple of chainsaws that are battery powered. They can definitely do the job but you just have to do a lot of research before buying. You also don’t “need” commercial branded or professional grade battery equipment to get the job done. I think my personal advice to anyone looking to go battery powered is to settle on a decent platform and get all your batteries on that because we have more than 30+ batteries on 5+ platforms (which all do serve their purpose) but we could really do we just two platforms (one for handheld outdoor tools and one for handheld power fastening, grinding, etc tools)
This is awesome
what an amazing young man!
This is cool af, I was scared at first. But kids got what it takes!!!
I hope you are able to do follow ups with some of the turn arounds you have done. Would love to see the progress!
This kid is good. Really smart. Love the idea.
I love these videos Mike. You are such a good person the world needs more people like you.
Absolutely amazing idea if the lawn guys don’t want to go to from door to door, love it
Very awesome video
Glad you enjoyed it
Really bright kid, definitely going places.
This is why I do all the work myself. Don’t have to deal with subcontractors.
What software is he using for the survey?? Like where it asks the size of the lawn and such
This guy is going to be a Beast..
20:00 - 20:08 needs to be redacted. Lots of personal client info that could be used maliciously. Love the episode other than that tiny lapse in editing!👍
What a great kid
I am a landscaper and it’s hard to find good help. I feel like I have a daycare instead of a lawn care if I’m not holding there hand, they’re messing something up.
Just Wait 10 years and you’ll be thinking these were the good years!
Stay small and don't have employees. I'm in construction and make over $30,000 most months by myself. Thats enough for me.
A 16 year old business owner with all that equipment and trucks = daddy’s money
Yeah, this is like starting at 3rd base.
I wish he gave me all the equipment and trucks! He lets me use his 5x8 trailer though!!! That trailer has been useful.
It’s not that hard to save up the money to buy that equipment and those trucks…
@@theluisbarrett1520 dont around half of all americans have less than 2k in savings? Half is low iirc
It’s that Trump success baby!
smart young man!
I have 30 yards that I maintain on my own.
I don’t have a LLC or business name. I just go by me. I don’t have insurance. I own 2 trailers but only 1 truck. I own a Wright Stander 36” and Toro Titan 42”
I love working alone because there’s no stress. I was fired from my last job for not being a “team player,” which led me to start my own lawncare business.
I don’t advertise.
All my yards were either given to me or bought off of someone who was exiting the business. If you do a good job you don’t need to advertise. The work comes to you.
Some of my clients came to me from word of mouth or approach because of the quality and consistency of my work.
I have full quality control since I work alone.
I find that my customers like that I work alone and have complained about the change in quality when I tried hiring someone in the past.
So I’m resistant to hire anyone even though I realize it limits my potential to expand the business.
I want full control and I feel like that’s only possible when I work alone.
Yup, you can get a helper during your busy times. Pay him well in cash. Sort of like an on call basis. That way you are with him but nearly double your production. Just because a big company has 20 trucks, 40 guys and 30 mower units doesn’t mean they are turning profit. Also you are a Sigma Male
I'm in construction and work by myself. Sometimes I get my retired father to help and pay him cash. I make over $30,000 most months. What I do is so specialized that I couldn't just hire anybody. Besides when you have employees you're just running around trying to find work to keep them working so they don't leave. I'm particular about my equipment too and I don't like my stuff broken. I've managed teams when I was an employee and I just don't care for it (Late, no show, whining, no care attitudes, the hand holding, etc). I like working alone and I have no stress or problems. Everybody says running a business is so stressful but I've never felt better in my life. Two things 1. Don't have debt & 2. Don't have employees.
I’ve be en in the remodeling business since 1987, hard to make it with so many others out of work doing it cheap,
I know Quality isn’t cheap and cheap isn’t Quality in my line of work.
To do it the right way, it’s not cheap and many are shocked at the prices but not as shocked as me when I see how much some others actually charge.
At least I sleep well and have a roof over my head.
That’s all I have after 30+ years of self employment.
Maybe I should have cut lawns, the numbers mentioned in this video were amazing and much more. Than I ever saw in my line.
I hear you. I'm a contractor and I can't believe how cheap the illegals are doing the work where I live. I try to only do commercial work because most them don't have insurance or a license. Residential is a race to the bottom. Most contractors have no business being in business. They quote jobs so low they can't even afford scaffolding. Ruining it from everyone.
This kid is going to make it, I have no doubt
As a 13 year old im starting a lawn care business and i need advise what to invest in and the targets to go for
How long does it usually take to know if someone qualifies for a turnaround after they submit their video?
Nathan: yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
personally i believe nathan could pass the 4M revenue in no time. we did it in the past, lead generation equals big business.
The only problem would be is that you don’t know what kind of quality the subcontractors are going to deliver it sounds like it’s working fine
The chat bot he made was quite easy to program. Anytime a customer sends a message, reply yeah..
Wow 🤯
Bateries 350 😂😂
I live my EGO. But I always wondered what a professional lawn care person would pay to keep an all electric collection of tools running.
How many accounts does he have? I work with my brother we do 80-100 accounts a week just me and him. I get $20 under the table so can’t collect on the off months. He tells me that’s the going rate. Just curious what some other fellow landscapers get.
Impressive kid.
@5:42 interviewer missed a perfect opportunity to dive deeper into that situation. That insight could help others a ton.
He needs an experienced ops manager with proven numbers. Pay him well.
Let him do what he does with that keyboard. And maximize both sides. 🤷🏼♂️
He shouldn’t have even been able to cash the check he got from the customer it should be made out to the company and only the owner should be able to cash those as he could’ve went back to the customer and asked to get the check rewritten and have the other check voided and still made the money
Your p&l looks like you're making lots of money but are you reinvesting all back into the business? Wouldn't that be in the p&l?
Maybe ment accounts billable?
How do I find a good marketing company.
no employees ? i see 2 following him up the driveway
Woe!
Probably started working since he was inside mother’s womb.
It’s like Lawn starter or green pal
I tell you what…
Hard manual labor is quickly becoming more and more a nerds game in the industry.
Those who are savvy enough to keep up with the technology and advancement in AI are going to make serious bank and they’re hardly going to have to lift a finger to do it unless you count pressing keys on a laptop.
I was hoping humanoid robots would get to a point where they could eventually do the weedeating for me.
I didn’t even think about using AI to help with the backend of the business which is totally possible right now!
That’s crazy smart!
Gahhh, my nephew wants to be a coder and can already do some crazy stuff at his age. I just worry AI will eventually take there jobs. Like they are literally building their replacement... idk if I'm the only one who sees that?
Ya yeah ya yea ya yeah
If you guys are helping companies hire contractors to sub the work out, send my company some work in the Greenville, SC area lol.
This kid is definitely a future millionaire
Let him do things his way he still making money regardless
I'd pay this guy good money to be a consultant for my fence company EDIT: specifically the young kid
why do you NEVER mention net profit margin or total year end profit..? makes a HUGE difference .. stop talking about revenue. useless.. completely useless
Click bait!
All fake, just for the channel
I agree, if it was realistic Mike would be all over it for his business
So after the contractor gets the job and is making the customer happy what is stopping him from firing Eagle and charging the customer at 90% directly? 🤷♂️
No more business for the contractor, Nathan provides the work, and the contractor is kept busy, and making money, why would he steal a customer, and than have to look for his own customers, which takes time.
This guy needs to stop cutting lawns and build and sell customer acquisition systems.
The kid needs to find something other than yeah to say
McKay is the real star of the show
Hate he lost money from a place that he did an extra site for wish they would’ve told him or just made a deal with him cause he did a job
Title is INSANE level clickbait love your videos and advice but wtf?
Don’t mix business with family and friends
Of ourse there can be exceptions
This model is really sticky for the subs, It is a easy way to be bleed out. If you sub to this model, Make sure you are getting paid and are keeping up with inflation.
Working for free or working and losing money (AKA paying to work) is not fun.
Its misleading it sais no employees 😂
And $4mil 🤣
