One thing that wasn't discussed was it seems he's servicing a very high income area? People with lots of disposable income. If someone tried to run the same business in a middle-lower class neighborhood the results might not be great.

I love it! He's a marketing genius! The name, the colours and marketing style. Most people start a business the same ol professional looking, but he went against the status quo with the light hearted image. The brand is much more recognisable and they'll remember him as the purple wizard guy even if they don't remember the business name. 👌 I've been tossing the idea of a similar concept for awhile but kept kicking myself back by saying it might not be professional, but now I've been inspired.

That $140k must be gross and not net since we didn't hear anything about expenses on SH, otherwise you'd have to be pushing a lot of jobs per day or you're doing more house washes over those types of jobs. Either way, any pressure cleaning guy will say that is extremely low. I just started and I'm charging double that for driveways. That's why I'm confused........

I'm looking to expand this year to get off the truck. I can't do what chase does anymore (even though I am.) That is, cleaning and answering the phones and still having a bunch of positive energy. I could have 200% with some to spare at his age but not anymore sadly. It took this business to realize it. Congrats Chase on a job well done getting there so fast. @chuckgood3972 9 месяцев назад

@@MrGoodeats It's not high level but it's not bad either. 500 a day with weekends off. Also, location matters. I'd be curious where you live. My sweat spot is 12cent a sf. I've tried higher but I lose too many sales. I live in an area where the income isn't super high but people do well. I know in some other states they charge 20cent a sf and people pay it all day. Obviously that's going to cause a big revenue gap on paper but I guarantee my cost of living is much lower so it's all relative. I also didn't start my business to get rich. I started it to be my own boss. I can get all my bills paid with only 2 weeks of work. I'm more than happy with that. It's not always about the money. Money doesn't motivate me. If I have to chose between knocking on doors or relaxing after the bills are paid, I chose relaxing. Will that allow my business to grow and be able to hire employees? Well, no. But I'm content. I'm about to start pushing harder though to increase the revenue. Not to be rich but mainly to be able to start hiring employees and get off the truck. If I make a lot of money in the process of expanding than good for me, but money isn't the goal. I live a very simple life.

Yeah my cost of living is very high haha but also I did that on purpose to force me to work. Sorry if I came off rude it just blows my mind how negative and how much self doubt is expressed in all these comments. Getting off the truck was incredibly terrifying and I certainly didn’t have the systems necessary off the bat. Problems, pain = new system. Lol.
Start of day checklists for equipment (so they don’t forget things), companycam (app), employee reviews for the first few weeks, truck trackers, vehicle policies, multiple training sheets to help identify stains etc. Job summary forms, percentage pay (absolutely do not pay hourly) the list goes on.
But these are a few that changed my experience with employees. Too many people complain they can’t find good help, yet they have none of this in place or are an awful leader. Hope you are doing well and this helps.
Also, not to discourage, but keep in mind - bad employees, which you will experience, are going to suck your energy right out of you. It is harder to be off the truck than do it all yourself, but very worth it.

I'd love to hear even more detail about the logo and everything. The logo might have been a couple hundred dollars with a deal but the ramp itself was much more and that looks like a really nice truck.
I'm starting a pressure washer business myself and I currently have a 2012 Honda Civic. I had enough money right now to buy buy a Craftsman 2.4 GPM pressure washer and I'm about to pick up a surface cleaner.
For now, unless I get a better idea thrown at me, I'll probably end up renting a truck for the days that I have jobs
I would love to hear any feedback however. Thank you for the great resource!
