If you guys want to leave an encouraging word down below. I’m sure Tom will be reading the comments!
Great interview
I'm 17 years old with my own lawn and landscaping business started back when I was 14 and man, this guy is putting me to shame with how knowledgeable well put together his business is. I'm delighted to see another teenager like me doing so well off, gives me hope for success in the future because right now I'm just barely making it.
You can do it brother
Your young. It’s fine barely making it. Learn learn learn now. I didn’t start my business until 33-34 years old. So your light years ahead of others your age.
Start a RUclips channel and be consistently posting content related to your business. Get it monetized and you will do great. I'm from Florida so it's 🥵 hot af. Working the field eventually grinds you down if it's hot and you're mowing 160 yards per week. If you own the company you can eventually work your way out of daily mowing if that's your goal. If you live somewhere where the biz is seasonal the tube will also help with that. It's kinda a better route (for now) than actually building and running a lawn and landscaping company.
Both are great though. There are too many companies just barely making it. If you have any questions I've been in the business 20+ years on all ends from owner to low man on a crew of 4. I have lots of experience from ALL ends of the business from estimates, contracts, (commercial & residential), how to do the numbers so you get paid the same every month etc.
I get it I’m only 14 with 2 commercial mower weed trimmers etc. wishing I had the knowledge to expand more but struggling cuz school is wasting my time
Keep it going
Kid is mature beyond his 19 short years. Refreshing to see👍🏻
This guy is so fluid with his communication skills - wow!!! Communications is one of the hidden skills that can make or break a business, Tom has a definite special blessing on him with that. I can listen to him just talk about anything!! Cool that it's about the lawn care business, but his charisma is off the wall. God really blessed this young dude, it's so encouraging and inspirational to hear Tom talk and helps for me and others to see what's possible. Thank you so much for bringing him to us Brian. And Tom, you are a blessing to people and you probably don't even know it :) Love and prayers for you no matter what comes your way Tom, you are a blessing, and on down days just know you ARE blessed :) Thanks for this interview, big thumbs up 👍👍👍👍👍
His parents did a good job.
Amen!
This guy is an inspiration to all us young guys!
Well spoken young man. We need more young men like this. Great to see. 👍
You’re awesome bro! I’m 17 years old about to turn 18 years old. I started my landscaping business back in 2019 and have been developing my business little by little and hoping to achieve the amount of success you’ve achieved. May God keep blessing you and help you achieve more success on this journey 🫡🙏🏽
Impressive at 19, well on his way. Should show people there are multiple paths to a successful career and life.
Im 16 planning to open my own lawn mowing business, and this is so cool to see and inspiring love what im seeing bro
awesome to see haha he's got the sales laugh down at the age of 19, he's gonna be a millionaire in no time
Awesome setup, would definitely love to see some strobes on the personal truck Tom. Great video as always Brian.
Just amazed at the amount of business experience and knowledge this young man has. When someone makes negative statements about our younger generations I am sending them straight to this video.
Man! I love this young man!
Awesome setup! Keep up the great work! 👏
The communication skills are just as impressive as the equipment impressive this is what America Great not politicians
congrats man!!! no better feeling then doing and making it happen on your own!
Awesome Job keep the hustle up
Jake's Tree service and landscaping started out the same way in Pennsylvania near Riddle Park PA now he has 65 employees! One heck of a great guy!
Jakes a great guy!
Great video and cool setup
Great Video! Thanks again for coming out Brian!
Any time!
Beautiful trucks and equipment in general
This kid will be a millionaire by the time he’s 25. Wow congrats brother
Through a profession most people probably tease him about being in when he says what he does.
We gotta stop telling our youth the only way to be successful in life is college.
He seems so Humble and that Smile could sell anything
that's crazy never knew he was right in my backyard
Not daddies money but daddies knowledge, who you know cuts down years on making mistakes glade to see following
Mind blowing how these younger guys are getting it in! There’s hope for the trades after all. Not so sure about the academic side…
That’s exactly what I’m trying to highlight with this series!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Thanks for bringing attention to this I might even use it to show my youth group at church. I just now thought about that 🤔
what a knowledgeable kid!
Great stuff guys. 🇺🇸
Brian is the truest on RUclips period
Lol thanks bro.
Absolutely love this series and definitely a smart kid! Just curious to know how he was able to drive a truck at 14 years old?
Who else loves this series?
Y’all motivate the snot out of me, so I sure do! 🫶❤️
@@BriansLawnMaintenance YOU REPLIED! I love your videos
The American Dream
Amazing every kid should watch this young man
Hello! Me and my friends are trying to start a business ( we’re 11) and I was just wanting to tell you that I love you videos and you videos help me understand how to start a business! Love you video.
Hey you bet buddy. Best of luck to you guys, this teenager series (and the playlist!) is for guys like you. Rock on!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance Thank you!
Love buddy's dad laugh at 19 haha
Awesome setup
This is amazing
Brian, I don’t know what you called that particular video, but it was about where you make the decision to go full-time into the lawn business. It was here on RUclips and now it’s gone.
My stepson needs to see it.
If you type in Brians Lawn full time it'll come right up still!
Honk for daddy max, lol, besides that, this is an inspiration for all us young people that anything is possible at any age. Keep going man, you going to be a big company if you keep doing what your doing.
Saratoga Springs and Lake George areas are a bit upscale. Good area for landscaping.
Awesome
That’s funny I literally live in Stillwater which is very close to Saratoga!
Hello I have a landscaping business as well and was just wondering if someone can tell me where did Tom get his logos and decals for all his equipment to trucks to trailer?please
If Daddy Maggs can get his CDL when he turns 21, then there's no doubt he'll become a millionaire. Can't believe Tom is only 19.
Should check out my buddy who is 19 and does his own! Same area
Must be nice having Daddy start his business up.
Cmon man. People like you will find any way to show envy to intelligent young people. Grow up and ask your daddy to help you grow your business so you can stop being so jealous.
Literally. Would be nice to be born with rich parents wouldn't it?
@@Brodc I think he actually worked for everything on his own its not daddys money stop being a hater.
Happy House happy spouse! don't you ever forget it!
“You know, we’ve seen it all.” Says the 19 year old. We’ll I guess I have been doing something wrong because I haven’t figured it out yet. Lol
I like your Toro T shirt
What’s your profit margin or Net profit on a mill ?
I use a toro push mower with a mulch deck I usually charge $30 to $40 a yard I’m still new to this is that price to high or low I’m trying to find a middle balance
Probably a little low.
$40/minimum but it just depends on the market! Some folks may be a $65 minimum just depends on the size of the property.
Xmark is going to love hearing one of there dealers has such bad service they have lost sales
🙌 😊
amen
Man it’s opposite here skagg takes forever and you better off to just replace it.. I ride a 60 exmark with the air ride but we’ve been buying more wright stand up mowers. Puts my Exmark to shame goes as fast in reverse as my Exmark going forward 😂
How does one go about advertising/marketing? Keeping the volume of work up.
Referrals, lawn signs, postcard, website hits etc
legit!
1 million in revenue doesn't cover all that equipment and payroll. He is highly leveraged. Maybe daddy doesn't hand out the money but I bet he is a member of his LLC / Corporation to help him get the loans. Hope the economy stays strong and he can keep a positive cash flow.
Leveraged yup. Daddy’s money, no. Thanks!
Saratoga Springs/Lake George areas are wealthy
Great kid and great set up! Going to listen to the pod cast and maybe it’s explained there. But how does he even make a single dollar of profit with all of this equipment and presumably 4-5 employees at only $500k revenue?
His company is around a million, Tom told me to update the title lol. I'd get 10X more "daddy's money" and "haters" if I put a million in there. Some people's ego just can't take it. Also, a lot of the trucks are financed but that's not a bad thing either, he's doing it right. Hope that helps!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance That clears it up a lot more, thank you. But even more props to him then! Sounds like he’s got great cash flow.
Great video and kids has it going on but seems like he’s got 10k month overhead I don’t even understand how he got the loans for all that! Good for him
He might have all this equipment but does he do good work is the real question
If he can afford all that stuff and keep getting more jobs/clients to make that money, than I’m sure he’s does high quality work.
Daddy mags
That's too much equipment for a $500,000 landscape company. With that amount equipment and the money he's paying in loans, needs to be well north of $1,000,000. Love his hustle, hopefully he doesn't flame out from chasing shiny things.
He's running around a million :)
You just jealous
What size John Deere tractor?
Their sub compact I believe, 25hp maybe
I don’t wanna sound like a hater but theirs no way any bank loaned a teenager hundreds of thousands of dollars without mommy or daddy’s credit score I’m sure he may pay for it all but I’ve been working on my credit for 3 years and could barely get a 4 wheeler
I’m not sure if he had a co-signer, but you’d be surprised what you can get if you have cash for a down payment.
I am 17 and owner Bruni and campisi inc
Never seen a guy laugh so much lol
Honk for Daddy Maggs!
😂😂🎉
Keep renting, you can only write off interest if you buy.
Maybe rent to own.
12:44 daddy max
😂😂😂 would be nice!
@@BriansLawnMaintenance you replied again
This kid drive is Awsome but I will note if he did get his parents money his knowledge and drive money or not he would be successful
