They been to almost 100 Chinese restaraunts in New York! I dont think anyone has an excuse not to know where to eat NY Chinese food after seeing these videos.
Thank you for making this part 6! Bumped into @Fungbrothers as they were filming on Mott Street. Glad they hit up all those spots, the owners, cooks and staff have been feeding this community and all the loyal patrons for all these years and braving this pandemic, but most amazing is the price and quality is consistent.
Wow! Thanks for showing off these small businesses especially during the pandemic. ❤️ As someone who’s ABC as well, I appreciate you trying to communicate with these small businesses in their native language, as well as your other videos showcasing regional Chinese food. There’s courage in that and we love the time you both spend on research etc. I mostly only grew up with Cantonese/Shanghainese and more recently Szechuan/Hunan food but I learned about Xi’an and Hubei food from your channel. Thank-you for that! ✌️❤️ Happy eating! PS I think this is my first RUclips comment but I just wanted you both to know we appreciate all your content and work to support small businesses 😄
Definitely need to do Part 7!!!! E-Noodle was another spot that I was going to tell you guys to go. Definitely one of the top 5 spots of mine in Chinatown! I spoke with the owners at E-noodles and Carol's Bun. They were so grateful that you guys featured them. Alot of people went and asked for the items you guys ordered. Thank you again Fung Brothers!!!! Love that you guys are taking your time out to help out the Chinatown community! I hope to run into you guys again! My son keeps calling you guys "mommy's friend" every time he sees you guys on TV! lol. Happy New Year and be safe!
Have you guys ever thought about doing a printed guide book based on all of your visits to restaurants by city? I would definitely buy on for the west coast.
As a Hong Konger who spent the last 4 years in NYC (left in May), this video makes me so nostalgic for all the delicious cheap food in Chinatown! I used to just go on long walks by myself to Chinatown and try out different restaurants (I especially LOVE Shu Jiao Fuzhou and S. Wan cafe!!). Thank you for making this video and supporting these small businesses! I can't wait to go back to NYC and hit up all these spots :)
Been watching you guys for years! Always comforting cause I live in Italy and miss these types of places so much coming from LA. Much love to y’all 🥰 Merry Christmas
Dope series Fung Bros! As a fellow Asian American, it’s humbling to watch the culture of NY Chinatown. It would be cool to learn about other Chinatowns in NYC like Brooklyn and Flushings.
I don't mind that they stick to their LES neighborhood because they're helping out small businesses out and getting a lot of chinese restaurants business by doing these types of videos
22:34...gee yuk beng....it's a Taisan classic. My mom would make this for the family all the time in the 60s. It's labour intensive in that, the chef has to stand there for 15 minutes chopping a whole piece of pork shoulder for 20 minutes chopping it into minced meat. You don't realize how good it was until it's gone. My mom is 93 now, and doesn't have the strength to do it any more. I just tell her how much I appreciate it after 50 years later. I tell her how I still remember her cooking it for me. The smirk on her face is priceless.
Thank you for making these videos especially during the pandemic. We hardly ever go out and socialize, this is my way of getting out of my "solitary confinement" :)
If you did any episode where you returned to all your *most* favorite spots and ordered the recommended items, that could become a go to video for people
Great even after 2 years... Appreciate all the work and many of your recommendations have been great. Love the Flushing influences moving into the other China towns...
I really enjoyed the cheap eats series as well as the one on the upscale places. The slightly slower pace as compared to the past is easier to follow. Keep up the great work and thank you for doing your part to help keep these businesses alive.
I'm team corned beef and egg sandwich at HK cafes. I learned of some new spots and need to check it out. I didn't realize Gong Cha was bought out by Korea - I just noticed a lot of them are gone. And for Vivi - I recommend the Jasmine Peach tea - if you ever been to Thailand it taste similar to a famous Peach tea you see almost everywhere.
You guys have outdone yourselves with this Part #6. I had to watch it 3 times to write down the individual dishes & your comments. I was surprised to see quite a few 'new Fung Bros' stops! Made me feel like you guys are serious about checking out what's new or off-the-grid. Great suggestion for the lunch specials @ Green Garden Village. Looking forward to doing the 'S Wan vs M Star' tasting, yes I wrote down most of your suggestions. Carol's Buns looks neat with the Soft Shell Crab @ $7. Please say the Mandarin equivalent of the dishes a little slower! Xie, Xie
Great video; Straight to the point with lots of great comments. 50 mins went by before I knew it. Thanks; I live in Upstate NY and have only been to the city once. This video "Almost" makes we want to take a trip down there. Keep up the great work
I have watched your videos for a long time but have never commented. One of the things I love about these videos are the cultural and historical lessons you guys give. I was born and raised in NY and frequented NYC Chinatown a lot but I have not been to many of the places you guys suggested. I have since moved out of state but I have added a lot of spots to my must go to list when it is safer to travel. I would love to see your top picks of Hotpot and Dim Sum spots 😀
"you look pretty cold David" *proceeds to go eat soft serve ice cream* hahahaha. Ya'll should create a fungbros website and have your top restaurants for different categories. I'd definitely use that next time I visit NYC !
Fung bros holding it down for small businesses! let's go!

As a newyorker anywhere there's a court house or hospital usually has the bomb food in the area PERIOD no discussions allowed
That's because if you're anywhere near those areas it's hood shit. NY or elsewhere!
