AG1 is €87 a month. I think it sounds like a good product, but I typically spend €120-160 a month on groceries here in central Europe and I have the impression that a lot of viewers here don't have an extra €87 a month to spend on a drink. When I studied acting for commercials, we were taught a technique called “bite and smile,” to show how delicious a particular food item was. Ducky did such a beautiful and natural “bite and smile” when he tried that piece of lemon pizza! Wow!

When I was in college, I went to England for three weeks to study Shakespeare and see some other classic plays. We spent a week in Stratford (SUCH a beautiful place!) and two weeks in London. We were on our own for most meals, and me and my roommate found this delightful little Italian restaurant with some of the best pizza I've ever had. It was big, and rather floppy, but at first we ate it "American Style," with our hands. EVERY SINGLE PATRON in the restaurant would just stare at us! It got uncomfortable enough we adopted the knife and fork method. The pizza tasted just as good, and left our hands less greasy, so it was a win-win. We went back to that little restaurant many times over those two weeks! Some of the biggest treasures in the food industry look like little holes in the wall. And it was an awesome trip, one of the best experiences of my life! And now I REALLY want some pizza! And it's only 6:20am!

A theme you should consider is gulf cost seafood. I can recommend Magnolia Grill in Fort Walton Beach and Boshamp's in Destin. On our recent trip to FWB we dined at Magnolia Grill. I had chilled gazpacho followed with blackened amberjack on a bed of crayfish etouffe served with wild rice and steamed veges, then finished it off with a slice of pecan pie. If you do go DO NOT miss the opportunity to have one of their steaks. Their crab cakes and Alfredo are also the best I've had anywhere.

When I was in New York, I drank from the faucet, and it was really good, so them saying the pizza is so good because of the water makes sense.

I'm from Connecticut (just north of New York), and we have a vibrant pizza culture here as well. There's a piece of advice that people who know pizza will give you: if you go to a pizza joint and they don't have a "tomato pie" (pizza with just sauce and a sprinkling of grated cheese, no mozz or toppings) on the menu, don't get their pizza. Their reasoning is exactly what you guys discovered: if all you have is your bread, oil, and sauce, the ingredients have to be good becuase there is nowhere for them to hide.
You guys gotta try something called a Drunken Grandma Pizza. I think it originated in NY, but I've had them in South Jersey not far away. It's pizza with vodka sauce on it. Amazing stuff, provided of course that you like vodka sauce. 😂
We went to NYC during the end of COVID, and never had NYC pizza 😂 a lot of stuff was closed I'm putting these places on my saved list. My husband moved to MI from upstate NY and all he does is complaon about our pizza 😂 so need some good places when we go back

I love a good, thick, Detroit style pizza. This episode reminds me of being poor in subsidized housing and for pizza night we would buy the Chef Boyardee homemade pizza kit. Everything from the crust to the tomato paste sauce to the fake parmesan cheese was nasty but being poor, we loved it. Every time I see a NY style pizza I associate it with poverty. Yep! South America, to be specific. The first "tomato sauce" was probably closer to a salsa than anything seen in Italy.

I love a good, thick, Detroit style pizza. This episode reminds me of being poor in subsidized housing and for pizza night we would buy the Chef Boyardee homemade pizza kit. Everything from the crust to the tomato paste sauce to the fake parmesan cheese was nasty but being poor, we loved it. Every time I see a NY style pizza I associate it with poverty. Is this why I love Detroit-style pizza? Ask my therapist. LOL

@@trussell9899 The water is essentially snowmelt from the Adirondack mountains. If you have ever watched the second Die Hard movie, the tunnels they are fighting in are new supply tunnels from the reservoirs to the city.
