If you are looking for wild cheap seedy fun with alcohol and women, then I agree that this place is not the best place for that.
Potato is life some types Hong Kong kai lan and choy sum look/taste almost the same (i.e. both have the flower buds and similar looking leaves/stem). Cantonese wanton noodles usually use HK kai lan instead of the commonly found choy sum

The last time we visited Singapore, we ate so much every day that we took a full day without eating and didn’t even feel it. You could stay there for months and eat something different every single day and still not eat everything you want. They have so much amazing food. ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Ri Ri Hong Mala is pretty expensive for Singapore standards. Other great, affordable mala options are at Bugis Jin Jin Eating House (496 North Bridge Road) and Clementi Food Pavilion (443 Clementi Ave 3).

Office workers can eat these (in the hawker centre) everyday hahaha but I'm glad someone treats these like delicacies. It's probably hard to find these of the same quality outside of Singapore and Malaysia. It's really affordable for lower income folks as well. I think its nicer than noodles you can find even in 5 star hotels. One plate is enough to make me full so I have no idea how you ate so much haha
Glade that you tried the curry chicken noodles. That is my favourite curry chicken noodles stall and during peak hours, the queue can be as long as 45min to an hour.
You can also try Peranakan food like the Nonya kuehs and Kueh Pie Tees. Also herbal soup with pumpkin rice. Lao Huo Tang sells good pig stomach soup. Satay and otah are also really good. Nasi lemak with blue rice (bluepea) is kinda in. Murtabak is an upgrade of roti prata with filling, kinda like tortellini. Ok I can go on forever. 😁

Hey Mike! Wish you could come and have a look-see around the Geylang Serai Bazaar (in Singapore,obvs). The food at the bazaar is sub-par, but is honestly a big upgrade from the bazaars from the previous years. But the food at Geylang Serai itself is fantastic. Lots of Malay/Indian food to try (food which you have yet to try, since you mostly try Chinese/Oriental foods. Singapore is more than that!)
The crust of the egg tarts are made by a chef and the eggs filling is by the owner of the stall (Not the aunty selling it). Combining the best to be the best, what can you ask for? Super yummy. They have 2 stalls, in chinatown and in bukit timah hawker centre. Buy 6 and store them in a box for easy take away and storing. Put them in the fridge if you are not eating it within a day. Warm it up or have it cold. It is still nice.
