Wow I love them class 37s,i always remember as a kid in Manchester watching the coal trains pulled by class 37s..br livery in the 70s.love em, the size and the sound..thanks for sharing
This brings back many memories of when I was a fireman out of eastfield traction depot Glasgow drove my class 37s long time ago 1974 19 years old in the drivers seat wi a triple header of 37s and 40 wagons of coal out of Ayrshire
Absolutely lovely filming fella and I love someone who has the guts to put up a long film, rather than trying to get lots of individual views. Bit like that chap Kyle Law, you’ve put up something to sit down and appreciate. Spot on and subscribed. All the best Paul
The class 37s aren’t usually used for heavy freight work anymore, the videos with yellow cars are test trains. So they’ll be checking the track for any necessary engineering work that needs to be carried out 👍
its known as a Railhead treatment train, or RHTT for short. They spray the track with high pressure water to remove any leaves and the slippery residue they leave behind. This is to prevent any trains from failing to stop or start.

@@Aaron.56_ thank you
Great how box fresh clean Colas seem to keep their fleet of 37’s. Makes modelling them a bit easier with less weathering needed! 😂
As someone who is also modelling RTC related things, it certainly does 😂
Wish you could say the same for the interior. Some of their locos are very grimey inside!
hi love rail sign reminder of scotrail when i was tr haven't time now to go
I built the electronics for some of those ultrasonic rail testers. Sperry Rail. I also designed the weld detection system.
hi gt name , irish viking,
That was a fantastic video, thoroughly enjoyed it. Thank you for posting it. I live in Australia and miss the British trains, best in the world.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching :)

Nice views of a driving trailer (9701)

I’m addicted to watching now. Why 2 locomotives when pulling so few cars or wagons ?

@12:06 >, is that train going for maintenance or scrap? I notice no match wagon is being used.
Yes at the time of filming it had just come back from maintenance at old dalby
Good vid mate
Thanks mate!

Thank you! Much appreciated
Are you sure that’s Shrewsbury at 14:53? Shrewsbury isn’t electrified, so is it Stafford?
That’s Crewe, so near Stafford
What sort of train is that @14:52? Is it a weed killer train???

Are they mechanical drive? Not diesel electric. Sounds like it’s shifting gears
They are diesel electric. I see what you mean about the sound though. It does somewhat sound like shifting gears
@@Aaron.56_ the sound is great. I’m in Canada and trains are quite different in the way they are connected and don’t accelerate like yours do. 😀
At 0:43 what is the blue carriage for
Not sure, all I know is it’s an ex Caledonian sleeper mk2
