It's very clear instruction. Thanks. I have special case where the salinity from hatchery is lower than my pond. How to acclimatize the PLs in this situation? 🙏
Also if temperature difference between pond water and suppliers PL water is less than 2 degrees is it still neccessary to acclimate temperature via plastic bags? At what temperature difference value is it necessary to do temperature acclimation?
Thanks for the video. I have one question. We only have access to freshwater. Can we raise the water's salinity by adding sea salt (for sodium) and then add the minerals potassium, magnesium, and calcium as per the ratios in the seawater (for example Na:K = 28:1) ?
Hi is pH an important consideration for acclimation of the Post Larvae? From your video i understand we should not add pond water into the suppliers PL water as this may raise the pH and convert much of the TAN into the toxic unionized ammonia form. So after we acclimate Temp & Salinity and release the PL into the pond system, wont there still be a signifanct difference in pH? If supplier PL water is 7.5 pH and my pond water is 8.5pH and I am moving stocking PL into the pond water, this is a pH difference of around 1 unit. Will this pH difference in itself cause signficant stress to the PL? Also would love to do some consultation with you guys, do you have whatsapp?
@@joseantoniosantosdom I also need to know regarding with pH acclimation because there's almost always a difference between the pH from hatchery and grow out pond. Thanks in advance.
For extensive farming with out proper equipment, can we stock the PL by adding water from pond which has low salinity of 14ppt,with hatchery 32ppt,... We can only add water inside plastic bags, what will be the survival rate for this practice?
I just want to thank you for your detailed information ♥ ♥ ♥. Your instructions are very clear and easy to follow. please keep making these videos.
Much appreciate your support, thanks
Thank you for sharing such a great video!
yea long time guys we really need your information keep up and good luck ♥
Thanks for you your kind words 😊

Hi Samuel, Follow the recommendation in this video at time 09:27, the rate for increase and decrease is the same
@@joseantoniosantosdom Thank you
Wow fish videos

Yes, but safer just add seasalt, not refined NaCl because balance is tricky and if not done properly PLs will die
Only sea salt in cheaper, others are costly
MY POND HAS DECRESED SALINITY FROM 25 TO 15 IN 2 DAYS BECAUSE OF RAIN IS THAT GOOD OR SHOULD I TAKE ANY PRECAUTIONARY
the decrease rate was gentle the PLs should be fine. Check alkalinity and if it has dropped add liming material.

What do you think may be you are not watch videos correctly that is the thing she told in the entire video if ph above 7.5 then pls will die
Hi Michael, we can chat by email. Thanks for your interest in #FISH

Hi, don't need acclimatise for pH, as soon as other parameters are right, free the PLs ASAP
Can we culture Shrimp in biofloc tank?

No you cannot, you need acclimatise like explained in the video or you will kill the shrimp
