You should definitaly do the GKB S6 from Graz to Wies-Eibiswald and then the S7 from Graz to Köflach. Very interessting regional Trains in Styria/Austria. Both date back to late 19th/early20th century. Also, they do scenic rides with the oldest working steam lokomotive. Also, there is the Koralmtunnel comming up, connecting Graz to the Carynthian Capital of Klagenfurt with the stunning Wörtersee.
Hey there! I am a train guard (Zugführer) stationed in Innsbruck HBF and the Route from Innsbruck to Scharnitz (and then Garmisch) is my favourite work route. However i would like to note four things: Firstly: Bikes do not need a reservation. However they need a Ticket. And are therefore not carried free of charge. The Ticket is € 1,80 (self bought) / € 2,10 (bought at the Station) for destinations below 100km, farther than that it is 10% of the Ticket price for the Passenger. Entering the train without a Bike ticket will end up in a regular fine of 105€ unless the Guard shows Goodwill. Unfortunally we have many issues with people thinking they can take the bike for free :( Secondly: The SBB Bag. We are allowed to use equipment of other Railway Companies to an extent. Many of us use an SBB bag, and many of the SBB Guards use our Bags. You also might notice, that many ÖBB Guards use Swiss Whistles for sending off trains (cause we deem them better than the ÖBB issued ones). Thirdly: The 4024 you traveled on, was one that has not been refurbished yet. Many of our 4024's have been refurbished by now and look extremely nice now. I can highly recommend checking them out again at some point. The refurbished trains have a different colour pattern on the outside: Horizontally divided red and white. And lastly, the Station you labeled as "Leithen" was actually Reith bei Seefeld :) Leithen is demand stop. (Bedarfshalt, as the Anouncement System said) So if no one pushes the button at the door, or no one is waiting on the platform, the train will just go through it. Which seems to have happened here. Other than that i can highly recommend taking that trip again in Winter AND in Autumn on a foggy day, because you will see nothing but fog below you and it really makes for an interesting feeling looking down into an ocean of fog. PS: Also the collegue of mine, you managed to capture in the video, is one of the nicest people i know :)

My wife & I have visted Austria 17 times from the UK and came to Seefeld in 2010. It's a wonderful country & I consider it my 2nd home. OBB trains are brilliant and so clean, comfortable and efficient. The Austrian people are so fantastic.

Seefeld is where my wife and I holiday almost every year (3 times in one year) since 1987. When we fly into Innsbruck airport, rather than getting a taxi to our hotel we prefer to go by bus to Innsbruck Hbf so that we can take this route by train. We just can’t get enough of Austria, Seefeld, OBB etc.
I’m living in Taiwan, and I've visited Austria in 1995 Autumn, it's a beautiful experience. I stayed at Seefeld and took trains to Jenbach, transfer time in Innsbruck was too short for me to take a look on the beautiful city. Hope I can visit Austria again in 10 years.

A few years ago I went to Innsbruck, and the best way for me was to fly into Munich. I was suposed to catch the express train, but It got canceled. Great video! I know this route well having holidayed in the Innsbruck area for the last 20 years! For anyone staying longer than a few days, I would personally recommend purchasing a weekly Tirol ticket assuming you intend to use public transport a fair bit. This ticket is valid for every single train, tram and bus in the entire Austrian Tirol covering an area from Scharnitz in the north to the Italian border station of Brennero at the Brenner Pass in the south, as well as from Sankt Anton am Arlberg in the west to border town with Germany at Kufstein in the east. Absolutely unbelievable value at under £40 for 7 days of unlimited travel/ These tickets can be purchased from the VVT website and are a must have if you wish to explore the Austrian Tirol.
Stunning scenery!! I could easily live in Innsbruck. Such a beautiful area!! And I could take this train for a day trip to the Tyrol. Thanks Max for sharing😀😀♥️♥️🎄🎄
What I like about your videos is that you show a reasonable amount of views of your departure and destination points. Especially rewarding when they are picturesque as these.
Enjoyed the video very much. Brought back great memories of 2 holidays spent in Seefeld including a trip down to Innsbruck on that line. Also travelled to Munich the other direction which also was a very scenic trip
Did a partial Europe trip with my family in mid 2022 and by far we enjoyed Austria the most. Especially Vienna and Innsbruck. What a beautiful and picturesque country. Amazing amazing amazing!!! 😄
The towns look like they are straight from a fairytale. They are gorgeous. You are lucky in Europe being able to easily access places like these. Though I do love my own Australia, it is hard for us to visit the locations you show us...especially if one doesn't have much money haha.
What a wonderfully scenic regional train trip from Innsbruck - which is one of my favourite cities! I did this route on a really slow DB ICE service from Innsbruck to Munich, but hope one day to do a day trip up their just to enjoy the scenery.
Fabulous video mate!!!! and I too think, this city would be a perfect place to live and this place not only looks amazing but also tranquil and it is the perfect combination for me calmness merged with exquisite sceneries. 😁
Nice to see you back with the little train next to your name mate 😊 Austria is so lovely, and as you said relaxing and so beautiful. This little line I just found when I had a few spare hours ⛰️😁
@@NonstopEurotrip oh, I see, then I must say you are fantastic when it comes to perfect utilization of time, mate. And I think if possible, making content in spare time would be great and it doesn't matter what type of content it could be, it could be either you know city tour or 'delicious food tour or trying it' 😂😂 , or maybe dedicated video about specific place. And who knows when you might get stumbled upon a treasure in the city or at any other place that you aren't aware about.
Wow, memories applenty there, I could literally smell Austria as the video progressed and how delightful that is. Were I ever to live somewhere else, my first choice would be Austria hands down. We have a really close family friend whom lives in Innsbruck. A word of note re Mac D's in Austria, they have a much better selection of food to eat, taste way better and you can have a beer, or a proper coffee. They actually have housing built into the city walls in Innsbruck btw. I so miss Austria so thanks for these vicarious visits via your channel.
I'd have to agree with you Matthew m and especially that part of Austria, it's just beautiful. I do love the regional/national changes that McDonald's have all over the world 😁👍🏻🇦🇹
Around 15 Years ago bought a last minute trip for one week to me and my son and 12 hours later we were at Seefeld! My first trip to Austria and to Alps! And I was sold the moment when walked out from the plane at Innsbruck airport. Also lost "virginity" with ÖBB on this route Seefeld-Innsbruck-Seefeld. :))))
That roundhouse at 6:15 as far as I know dates back to the 1930s, as well as the turntable, the latter one was renovated in the 1980s. The roundhouse, called 'Remise' is used as a storage facility for a handfull older lokomotives from various eras, and sometimes they are open to the public.
I know that valley’s, hills, rivers are a nightmare for railway construction but they certainly give us passengers wonderful scenery, again a great post, ps I always get the regional ticket when on holiday this normally covers trams and some buses as well as the railways, very good value and gives extensive travel around the area you stay in
Stunning views and seems like a lovely town to go visit. Also the train looks really clean and those windows are huge! Good call not wasting any time on a toilet review on such a short trip lol.
Hallo! It's very beautiful und I like very much. Thank you very much. I apreciate much und I respect you for this special trip. Merry Christmas! A good und beautiful 2022 Year ro have. My respect for you. God bless you!🙂🙃🤗🥰
Great video, I have spent time in Innsbruck. I stayed at the Alders hotel, right next to tracks. I had a view of the tracks from my room. Also there is a rooftop bar restaurant on the 13th floor which overlooks the station and tracks. I'm looking forward to your Brenner pass video. I've done Innsbruck to Venice and it's a stunning route. It's my favorite train route.
love your content....two trips I have taken that i loved Winnipeg to Churchill Manitoba and cochrane to moosonee Ontario both on Hudson Bay and i have to add skagway Alaska up through White Pass to the Yukon....I wish we had mountain trains in my mountains ( i live in a high alpine valley in Montana) Happy Solstice!
A correction from a local, sorry ;-) Bikes are free to transport on trams, most busses, and IIRC the Zillertalbahn, but not on ÖBB trains. For a single journey a bike ticket costs 10% of an adult's 2nd class ticket. From Innsbruck to Seefeld the bike would pay 1,60 €. There are also all-Tirol bike travelcards: 2,60 € for a day (i.e. cheaper for a return situation), 5,20 € for a week, 18,00 € for a month, all valid on regional trains only (S-Bahn and REX, i.e. everthing with 'VVT' on it). For long-distance trains (RJ, EC, IC) the bike needs a ticket (10% of 2nd class adult ticket) and a reservation (for another 3 €). When crossing country borders it gets really complicated.
You asked about the age of the roundhouse. As the rail infrastructure around Innsbruck as well as the Hauptbahnhof and the district around it were heavily damaged by allied bombing in WWII then it probably dates from the immediate post-war period. Way back in the 1970s I attended a ski course with the Alpine School of Innsbruck and went back again in the subsequent winter. In those days the city provided a free ski bus service to the local ski resorts and you were issued with a pass to use it when you registered at your hotel. I wonder if that still exists though!
I love Innsbruck! We were last there in January 2020, for the World Wide Masters' Games; we went there and back by train, going in a sleeper from Cologne. I tried to book a return sleeper but couldn't - found out, too late, too late, that the day we wanted to travel was the inaugural Vienna/Innsbruck-Brussels sleeper. Oh well, we were able to break our journey in Cologne! But Innsbruck is a lovely city. Next time you are there, get the train to Jenbach, and the little mountain railway that runs, in the summer, up to Pertisau (there was talk of extending it to run all year round, but that was pre-pandemic).
Did that trip with my parents in 1972 we stayed in Seefeld during the tragic events of the Munich Olympics, Seefeld station has been modernised since then, but remember the church. Nice video.
Because of the way its spelt? I'm sure though if you heard a local pronounce the name you wouldn't think Canada anymore haha. It's pronounced "Innschbrugg"
Schöne Video! I enjoyed the views, Austria is a very nice country, especially the Alpine regions! Also this Talent unit looks good for regional travels. Have a nice Christmas! :-)
Love your videos~!! I find your video most informative and i really appreciate the no talking part LOL. Would you considering doing a Golden Line Pass train video from Luzern to Interlaken? Thank you :)
If you need a short trip idea… what about in France / Brittany : Auray to Quiberon line, regional train called “tire bouchon”, operating in summer only. Landscape is very nice. Or in Switzerland, between Filisur and Davos, also in summer. 2 of the hourly daily service is operated with nostalgic and openair coachs !
Visited Seefeld in Tirol from the other direction, departing from Garmisch-Partenkirchen... Both lovely towns! Another gorgeous spot along that route is Mittenwald, Germany..right at the border with Austria... In southern Austria, Zell am See is another must-visit locale...
My favorite rail ride....been over it enough times to know the names of most of the bridges and tunnels. Also have hiked from Leithen to Hochzirl through the Schlossbachklamm. Very nice views up to the Schlossbach bridge and a bench directly over the portal of the third Vorberg tunnel, looking town on the Vorberg bridge - highly recommended. The only criticism I would have is that you chose a seat on the wrong side of the train - the views down into the valley and the Martinswand are spectacular.
I´ve often been using those trains between Mittenwald (first stop in Germany wenn you´re using this line from Innsbruck) and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany! 11:25 Yea it´s pretty interesting why he has an SBB/CFF/FFS bag 😲
Thank you for your wonderful reports. About the steam loco round shed and turntable if I'm not wrong it was built in 1925-27 when new station then was built also.

Thanks for your videos and makes us even more excited taking those train commute. Is it better to buy ticket online or just buy at the station?
As i 15 yo who went ro school until i broke up trains were the Best transport but I live in rietz so i often had to switch trains to get to zillertal for students and adults there is something called the vvt ticket for adults its expensive but for me it was 110 euros i think the ticket basically gives you free rides for a year from the begin of the purchase its really cool
Clean train ✅ Huge windows ✅ Friendly guard ✅. Picturesque scenery ✅. Charming destination city ✅. I could probably live in Innsbruck too Max but I’d be better off in Wein … more of a 🏳️🌈 community I suspect. Happy Holidays to you! 🎄🎁🎅🏻
Macht mich etwas nachdenklich....🤔
Julius from Nainital India your short tour video is very much surprising to me personally and I also need to give me more information about Austrian town and moreover country as how it is possible to move to Austria ,and work over and live in Austria.
Hi! Short trip, but fine! Those Talent 3's by DB run the Werdenfelsbahn Minga-Innschbrugg via Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Shortest path in terms of length in km, but longest in terms of hours, cheaper and more spectacular than the EuroCity via the Lower Inn Valley. In Garmisch-Partenkirchen you can change to the Zugspitzbahn that takes you to the top of Germany. I took it last weekend to hike round the Eibsee and I'm currently working on a short video of that trip. Just before I forget it: You've been featured in the last video of my channel. I'd be very glad if you check it out. Keep up the good job, you're my inspiration! Cheers
13:20 There is one nice mountain railway diverting from the main railway line in my region of Czech Republic, it's a line to "Moldava v Krušných horách", you can either take a modern quick train from Děčín, Ústí nad Labem or Teplice or slower, older train from Most. Advantage is that these big stations have direct, rather modern train connection from Prague, but one small disadvantage is that these mountain trains run on weekends only. Another two rather interesting Czech mountain railways that come to my mind now is Liberec to Szklarska Poręba Górna or Karlovy Vary to Johanngeorgenstadt, these run the entire week
Aaaah, Czech railways my favorite! Ik very much like the ride from Volary to Horny Plana.... I used to stay in Zlabek. Train has to be one of the most scenic rides you can get in the CZ.. Always nice people onboard and always on time.
@@d.i.z.04 I've been to Teplice, very nice region too. Did our shopping in Chomutov....Took that nice road to Karlovy Vary.. We rented a house near Kraslice. Been in Decin,Liberec, Jablonec, Budejovice Pilz, Praha... Always want to go to Brno and Ostrava...
I love the/this Karwendel/Mittenwald railway! And this "CityShuttle" livery and interior of ÖBB class 4024, so sad they all will be in CityJet livery in few years.
Most of them are refurbished by now and are made to look like CityJets. However the Actual CityJets (from Siemens) only run between Kufstein and Innsbruck in Tyrol.
I'd second the Brenner route. The wide curve at St Jodok is something to see - I spent half a day there dodging the rain and watching the trains go by. On the same route, I've also stayed over the border in Italy (Südtirol), in the majority-German speaking town of Brixen/Bressanone. Good food!
Great video , we are travelling from Berlin to Vienna via Night-jet in March , staying in Austria for 4 days before coming back to Uk . How can we travel from Vienna to Innsburk ? Should we stay overnight or ideally we should stay overnight to make the best of our time . Plz advise . Thanks
Sounds great! It's very easy to take a direct railjet from Vienna to Innsbruck, but I'd definitely recommend seeing Salzburg too! Any specific questions, send me a DM and I'll do my best to help!
@@NonstopEurotrip Many thanks , how easy it is to travel to city centre from the Vienna main station . I just wanted to mention the only drawback of nightjet coming from Berlin to Vienna is the early arrival time at 7.00 but I assume Sun should be risen by then so we don’t miss out on the scenery
Great tripreport as always! One thing though, bikes are not necessarily free of Charge, at least in the state I live you must pay around 2€ for a dayticket to take your bike, not sure how it is in Tirol though (I am from Vorarlberg)

The Außerfernbahn from Garmisch Partenkirchen to Kempten is my favorite Rail in the Area, very good views, but sometimes closed in the Winter.
☃️😁
I do love the regional/national changes that McDonald's have all over the world 😁👍🏻🇦🇹
What a lovely video! Agreed not cheap but the scenery paid for it many times over. Love it and more of it please. Thanks.
Coming up soon 😊
Lovely done seefeld to Innsbruck a couple o times while on holiday in seefeld stunning scenery.
100 agree!!!!
I love this trip, I've been there myself. It's just wonderful
It absolutely is 😊
Around 15 Years ago bought a last minute trip for one week to me and my son and 12 hours later we were at Seefeld!
Ah excellent, thank you Matthias 😃🙏🏻
Hello I loved your video on Innsbruck Seefeld. Keep up the good work. I am a fan.
Thank you Dietmar! 👍🏻
I know that valley’s, hills, rivers are a nightmare for railway construction but they certainly give us passengers wonderful scenery, again a great post, ps I always get the regional ticket when on holiday this normally covers trams and some buses as well as the railways, very good value and gives extensive travel around the area you stay in
They've certainly pulled a blinder with this route haven't they John 😁
What wonderful scenery ! A very short and sweet trip ! Many thanks 1
Absolutely Norman! 😀🙏🏻
Stunning views and seems like a lovely town to go visit. Also the train looks really clean and those windows are huge! Good call not wasting any time on a toilet review on such a short trip lol.
Haha thank you Juan 😃
Hallo! It's very beautiful und I like very much. Thank you very much. I apreciate much und I respect you for this special trip. Merry Christmas! A good und beautiful 2022 Year ro have. My respect for you. God bless you!🙂🙃🤗🥰
Thank you! Happy Christmas to you too 🎅🎄
Great video, I have spent time in Innsbruck.
Excellent hotel!! Glad you enjoyed the video 😊
love your content....two trips I have taken that i loved Winnipeg to Churchill Manitoba and cochrane to moosonee Ontario both on Hudson Bay and i have to add skagway Alaska up through White Pass to the Yukon....I wish we had mountain trains in my mountains ( i live in a high alpine valley in Montana) Happy Solstice!
Wow they both south great trips! Glad you enjoyed the video! 😃
A correction from a local, sorry ;-)
Bikes are free to transport on trams, most busses, and IIRC the Zillertalbahn, but not on ÖBB trains.
Thanks for the info! 😀
Ah very interesting, thanks for the information ℹ️🙏🏻
Sounds like an adventure! Innsbruck is AMAZING. I couldn't definitely live there if money was no object...
What a fabulous place and a great way to get there. 👍👍🇦🇺
Thank you 😊
Wonderful trip experience, really enjoyable thanks for sharing beautiful video congratulations 🙏
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Did that trip with my parents in 1972 we stayed in Seefeld during the tragic events of the Munich Olympics, Seefeld station has been modernised since then, but remember the church. Nice video.
Thank you! ✌🏻
Innsbruck sounds Canadian to me. Plus those mountains high up is magnificent. Very beautiful city Innsbruck is. Very nice.
Because of the way its spelt?
I'm sure though if you heard a local pronounce the name you wouldn't think Canada anymore haha. It's pronounced "Innschbrugg"
I see what you mean, but the pronunciation is quite different ☺️
True
What a pretty town! Yes DO try go back in winter! (Isn’t it funny how we all suddenly get nervous these days when someone coughs!! 🤣🤣)
Haha I know. And I will try next year! 😁
Schöne Video! I enjoyed the views, Austria is a very nice country, especially the Alpine regions! Also this Talent unit looks good for regional travels. Have a nice Christmas! :-)
Thank you Pete, just got one more of your videos to catch up on now 🎅
Fantastic landscapes, and the city seems to be inaugurated yesterday .... thanks for the ride.
You're very welcome 😁
Love your videos~!! I find your video most informative and i really appreciate the no talking part LOL. Would you considering doing a Golden Line Pass train video from Luzern to Interlaken? Thank you :)
One day ☺️
If you need a short trip idea… what about in France / Brittany : Auray to Quiberon line, regional train called “tire bouchon”, operating in summer only. Landscape is very nice.
Or in Switzerland, between Filisur and Davos, also in summer. 2 of the hourly daily service is operated with nostalgic and openair coachs !
Thanks for the suggestions ☺️
Visited Seefeld in Tirol from the other direction, departing from Garmisch-Partenkirchen... Both lovely towns! Another gorgeous spot along that route is Mittenwald, Germany..right at the border with Austria... In southern Austria, Zell am See is another must-visit locale...
I will definitely do this, i was just short of time last year, thank you 🙏🏻
Lovely video which brought back many happy memories. Have you done one on the delightful narrow gauge line from Zell am Zee to Krimml, please?
Not yet 😇😇😇
Thanks for the tip planned this trip and more in febr 2023
Hope you enjoy it!
Wow 😳😳 so wonderful 🤩🤩
Thanks 🤗
Lovely journey. Aiming to do this trip soon.
Absolutely agree and I changed sides on the way back 🤣
Wishing you and yours a merry Christmas and a happy and prosperous New Year!!!!
To you too 🎄
Enjoyed the video I have stopped in innsbruck station when I took a night train from Rome to Munich it was a lovely ride
Ah a nice ride! 😃
I´ve often been using those trains between Mittenwald (first stop in Germany wenn you´re using this line from Innsbruck) and Garmisch-Partenkirchen in Germany!
11:25 Yea it´s pretty interesting why he has an SBB/CFF/FFS bag 😲
Such an excellent line 😍
Thank you for your wonderful reports. About the steam loco round shed and turntable if I'm not wrong it was built in 1925-27 when new station then was built also.
Ah thanks, there's little information on it!
My parents lived across the pass from Innbruck in nearby Bavaria.
The train ride from Garmisch-Partenkirchen to Munich is nice.
Ah lovely 😍
Nice vlog! Great presentation.
Thanks you ☺️
You should definitaly do the GKB S6 from Graz to Wies-Eibiswald and then the S7 from Graz to Köflach. Very interessting regional Trains in Styria/Austria. Both date back to late 19th/early20th century. Also, they do scenic rides with the oldest working steam lokomotive.
Thanks for the suggestion!
What a great video. We are excited with our upcoming trip to Europe on September to watch the passion play. We are planning afterwards going to Salzburg by train then Vienna. Thanks for your videos and makes us even more excited taking those train commute. Is it better to buy ticket online or just buy at the station?
I find the ÖBB app the easiest to use. You can also buy city tickets for Vienna, Salzburg, Innsbruck etc
I live there, born there and NEVER used the train from Innsbruck to Seefeld. :D I really should do that once
Haha yeah you should 😂
Hi, nice video! Will you try the new Comfortjet in the Czech rep when it starts operating?
When does it?
@@NonstopEurotrip Next year probably. The trains are now under construction
You just mixed up wine and Vienna 🤭.
Happy Holidays to you too!
Thank you Rob, Happy Christmas to you too 🎄 Wien not Wein 😂
Innsbruck is definitely preferable to Vienna
@@lrrrruleroftheplanetomicro6881 Wein is Vienna in German
@@alejandrayalanbowman367 I believe Wein is wine and Wien is Vienna...
Julius from Nainital India your short tour video is very much surprising to me personally and I also need to give me more information about Austrian town and moreover country as how it is possible to move to Austria ,and work over and live in Austria.
Great video !!
Thanks Theo 👍🏻
Bedankt voor de video. Des te meer reden om weer eens met t gezin die kant op te trekken😊
Oh absolutely! 😁✌🏻
As a resident of the United States, I'm very envious of the European rail systems. You are very fortunate. The scenery ain't bad either.
We have it good, right? 🙃 Check out my new video Stephen 😄🇨🇭
Cheers
Thanks I've checked out your video, thanks for the mention 👍🏻
Austria delightful views
Absolutely ⛰️🇦🇹
ilived my whole childhood in seefeld & scharnitz its realy very beautifull, but believe me when i say u dont even saw the best things
Whats the BEST bit? 🙏🏻☺️
Excellent suggestions, thank you very much! 🙏🏻☺️
Aaaah, Czech railways my favorite! Ik very much like the ride from Volary to Horny Plana.... I used to stay in Zlabek. Train has to be one of the most scenic rides you can get in the CZ.. Always nice people onboard and always on time.
@@roelkomduur8073 local lines in Šumava are nice too, they say. Never actually rode on one though, it's pretty far from where I live
@@roelkomduur8073 nice, glad you liked it here! These other places you visited are nice too.
Is there a single ticket you can buy that allows you travel on any train through the Alps during a 2 week period?
Yes, Interrail/EUrail
Great trip report
Thank you Luis 😊
Lovely! 💖
Thank you 🙏🏻
Nice bit of alpine scenery..
Absolutely Mark ☺️
Sure is a wonderful area. Well produced vlog, Hope we can travel ther soon. PUSB.
It's amazing what little gems you can find when you have a few spare hours! Glad you enjoyed it Norman 😊
What a great trip.
Thank you Reza 😃
I'm pretty sure that's Schnellbahn so it's not really meant to be a luxury train and it's more meant to go short distances to work for example.
Your point?
Hi, three trips for almost two-hours to three beautiful towns for only two euros round trip at weekends: Porto-Guimarães, Porto-Braga, Porto-Aveiro.
I've done all of these 👍🏻😄
I hope that the trains are more comfortable than the ones over here in England!!
I am English 😁
I love the/this Karwendel/Mittenwald railway! And this "CityShuttle" livery and interior of ÖBB class 4024, so sad they all will be in CityJet livery in few years.
I'm a fan of CityJet too 😁🎅
@@NonstopEurotrip im too, I would just prefer have them both like old for regional and the new for REX
Nice video, as i said the scenery is very cool
🇦🇹⛰️😃
I've noticed that ÖBB S-Bahn/Regional trains in Tyrol seems to be in the older style. Does anyone know if there are plans to upgrade them to CityJets?
I believe these will be refurbished too 👍🏻
Most of them are refurbished by now and are made to look like CityJets. However the Actual CityJets (from Siemens) only run between Kufstein and Innsbruck in Tyrol.
@@Wesugi also from Wörgl to Hochfilzen and beyond.
South from Innsbruck and across the Brenner Pass is the lovely town of Vipiteno, Italy...Bolzano is also nice...
I'd second the Brenner route. The wide curve at St Jodok is something to see - I spent half a day there dodging the rain and watching the trains go by. On the same route, I've also stayed over the border in Italy (Südtirol), in the majority-German speaking town of Brixen/Bressanone. Good food!
Innsbruck-Bologna video coming up soon(ish)!
@@NonstopEurotrip
Many thanks , how easy it is to travel to city centre from the Vienna main station . I just wanted to mention the only drawback of nightjet coming from Berlin to Vienna is the early arrival time at 7.00 but I assume Sun should be risen by then so we don’t miss out on the scenery
Excellent video
Thank you ☺️
Nice report and indeed a route with stunning views! Do I remember correctly that some stops along the way are request-stops only?
Thanks! I'm not sure... 😁
Not on this line. Is's only from Garmisch to Reutte
btw those Talent 1s are all in the process of being refurbished, the new ones look like the Desiro ML City Jet and they are equipped with WiFi.
No Chargingports. WiFi yes. One of them is at the begin of the vid
I'd prefer power over WiFi 😂
@@heybenjii5544 oh yeah my bad, only the Desiro MLs have those

Great tripreport as always! One thing though, bikes are not necessarily free of Charge, at least in the state I live you must pay around 2€ for a dayticket to take your bike, not sure how it is in Tirol though (I am from Vorarlberg)
I did check the website, but still, worth it for €2 though 😊
