I lived in Innsbruck for 6 months and I was totally in love for this city! I watched this video almost crying because I want to go back there.. give this city a change, you will fall in love too ;)
In innsbruck there is a caffe it's called 360°... It's on the 8th floor of the Rathaus Galerie... Awesome view... Or you can go to the Adlers Hotel on the 12th floor is also a caffe... Best views in the city trust me...
@@blossomedits1725 its my go to date cafe. Place is super cool and not totally overpriced or swarmed with tourists. its really a hidden gem, considering its on the top floor of a small shopping center.
We actually visited Innsbruck for two days and this video helped a lot. You could also include the alpine zoo which was at the base of the the Nordkette - cable car...One thing in Innsbruck which though a little far..that we personally liked a lot was the Swarovski Crystal World..Most of the things you mentioned are included in the Innsbruck Card which is cheaper.
Actually, there’s free wifi on all of Innsbruck public transport. If you want to go to all touristy places (aka City tower, museums, guided tour, Alpine zoo, etc.) and take the cable car all the way to the top of the mountains, buy the Innsbruck card (43€ for 24h, 50€ for 48h; the cable car roundtrip alone from the city is like 36€). A cheaper alternative to a cable car to Hungerburg (first stop of the cable car, 860 m) is a bus line J - from the city center to Hungerburg in 10 min. Don’t get food in the Bergisel tower, it’s slightly more expensive than in the city and not worth it.
Makes me love our Capitol even more! I word here for over 19 years but you summed it up nicely!! So here are my tipps: - Try the Restaurant Lichtblick and its Bar 360 Degrees - breathtaking if the weather is fine! - The Roof Top Bar at Hotel Adlers and the Roof Top Bar on the Hotel Penz!! Ohhhh yes - Harley´s Cofe Bar - best Rock bar in Innsbruck, Himal - traditional nepalesin Food - delicious!!!!!!! - Pizzerei - perfect Italian Style Pizza - exquisite ingredients - you gonna love it!
Lived in Innsbruck when I was young and loved it. The outlying villages are incredible and some are easy to get to via tram, like the number 6. The entire town is easy to get around. Lots of close by places to visit too.
English teacher in me is impressed with Janek's perfect use of past perfect "...experiences I have had here". might be no big deal to him but thats a tense many English learners confuse, especially when 'have' is both the auxiliary verb and the verb proper. So - kudos to Janek!
I really fell in love this city! I've been there almost 12 times already, since my grandparents moved there in the 60s. Tbh, whenever I come to Innsbruck, I feel like it's my home. I'll probably even study here for my Masters degree. See you in a few weeks Innsbruck! 🇦🇹
I am in Innsbruck right now. I love it here! Definitely take the Nordkette to the top! The view is amazing. There is a food market along the river near city hall. Austria is great and the food is excellent! Salzburg is also great
I can also give your the tip to visit for example the little city Hall in Tirol. There are some really nice places to eat and drink: Cafe Morgenbrot, Geisterburg, or Ritterkuchl (you can eat like in little age). In Innsbruck you have to know: Cafe Katzung and Cafe Klein und Fein
I was there basically 4 days ago, I went to Innsbruck for that colorful building, went to Salzburg and then to Hallstatt. I am in love with Austria, it is as beautiful if not more beautiful than Switzerland, just because of Hallstatt. If I get a chance to go there again, I will take the funicular in Innsbruck next time. In Innsbruck, I walked around and saw the St. Anne's colum/Annasaule and triumphorte.
Mein Restaurant-Tipp ist Höttinger Schießstand. Gute traditionelle Küche mit einem großartigem Blick auf Innsbruck und in der näheren Umgebung schöne Wanderrouten.
I went to Salzburg for my Eurotrip this year and hands down I ENJOYED EVERY PART OF THE CITY. Now I know where to go next. Austria is always a part of my list!!!
I'm from Innsbruck and you have to see the so called "Hofgarten" which is near of the downtown. The "Schwarz - Manda" church is also great to visit, because in there you see enormous statues and a fun fact: many people think, that the grave in the middle of the church is the real grave of King Maximillian, but this isn't true 😉 it's really great to visit
That "GALWAY" bay cracked me up! Nice work! :D I stumbled upon this video whilst looking for Innsbruck city videos, thinking about taking a roadtrip from Sweden down to Italy (in the summer) and Innsbruck caught my eye as a stayover on the trip. Kudos man! Take care!

Great video. You bring back memories of a week of fun skiing in Innsbruck (1971). I was a student in Vienna at the time. Wonderful skiing, people, and city.,The city has changed, naturally. I remember my first European sauna in Innsbruck where a man is swirling a towel around, like a Maestro, after which everyone applauds. Then we go outside and jump into freezing cold water and repeat the sauna. The same public place had long hot-cold foot baths and waist high baths as well. Your skin feels amazing. Nothing like that in the US. Are there still places like this in Innsbruck? I need to return. Thank you.
On the way back from Innsbruck to Prague you should visit Wasserburg am Inn in Bavaria. Magnificent medieval town located on a peninsula (the river makes a U-turn there) with almost no tourists. 😉
Im from Innsbruck and if you want a really good Burger you should visit Wild West. And if you want really good Indian food here you go to New India. Apart from that you did a pretty good job at covering Innsbruck. I also can suggest you to go "Rodeln" some time if you havent already done that
Well, it's a bit of a scale problem. In other words, it's easier to offer good service to a small city (Innsbruck around 130k population) vs. L.A. 3m or so ...

I'm from Innsbruck, and I like yor video. Your jump up to the Hafelekar was fantastic! Wish I could do that. But you have chosen only very modern restaurants. Some places in the Old Town with great old atmosphere are: Stiftskeller, Ottoburg, Goldener Adler, Altstadtbeisl.
