@@mikeymutual5489Go back to your skibidi toilet BS if you can't focus on a video that's supposed to show off the world's trains and scenery. You are what's wrong with the internet these days
Beautiful train ride thru Alaska. Next time you are in LA Union Station, maybe you will see someone playing the piano in the main hall area. The last time I was there, I saw a professional musician playing the piano for everyone. Thank you for your videos. We have been watching you since Covid lockdown. We are now train aficionados.
43:32 - the river is "milky" from "rock flour" or "glacial flour". It is fine-grained, silt-sized particles of rock, generated by mechanical grinding of bedrock by glacial erosion or by artificial grinding to a similar size. Because the material is very small, it becomes suspended in meltwater making the water appear cloudy, which is sometimes known as glacial milk.
We had a room (not an accessible room) with a bathroom on this train. The toilet would vent in our room every time someone flushed below or adjacent to our room. It was awful but would quickly dissipate. Still awful each time. It's the balance of having your own bathroom for the long journey vs the awful smell.
As long as I traveled First Class, it was fine for me not to have an ensuite bathroom.. The bathrooms were fully stocked with supplies, were large enough to change clothes in, and had lovely fixtures. Once I went Coach and the bathrooms didnt even have TP. Luckily I carry lots of travel tissues. Coach? Never again! The thing I Hated was the snack bar was never manned. I couldn't buy a thing and I had brought only a few snacks. I'd prefer vending machines aboard.
That sounds like a bloody awful design flaw mate. If you're paying premium prices for your own bathroom/toilet/shower, you shouldn't be sniffing other people's faeces.
This is the first video my wife and I have seen of yours. You have a great sense of humour. To be honest, neither my wife or I thought any of your meals looked appetizing. Wondering if your overnight sleeper would be suitable for someone over six feet tall? THanks for sharing your travels with us and keep up the good work.
You need to go to Canada and take the Via train from Vancouver to Toronto or vise versa it's a beautiful ride across 5 provinces and through the rocky mountains
During the summer in Alaska it doesn't really get dark until 2 in the morning and the sun starts coming back up around 4:30 AM since you are so far north in the USA.
Thanks for sharing beautiful Alaska , explain all the details that i need .As always , you always has a great attitude and appreciate what you got , never complainning .

I loved my train trip from Fairbanks to Anchorage, with an overnight stop in Denali. I also enjoyed the riverboat cruise in Fairbanks, the bus ride deep into Denali Park, and the Kenai Fjords cruse south of Anchorage. Alaska always feels like an adventure. I hope you enjoyed your visit.
UNTIL SASQUATCH TAKES YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW AND EATS THEM! THOUSANDS GO MISSING EVERY YEAR! THE GOV. KNOWS TOO! BUT THEY STAY QUIET! INDIGENOUS ALASKANS HAVE WARNED THEM BUT MOST AMERICAN ARE IN DENILE!
If you really want to get cute with this in the future, there is a way to do it during the summer without flying. From Seattle, take Amtrak Cascades up to Bellingham, WA. From there, take a ferry called the Alaska Marine Highway, Southeast Mainline, to Juneau. From Juneau, take the Cross Gulf ferry to Whittier. Once in Whittier, it's back on the train: the Glacier Discovery line, on to Anchorage, and then on to the Denali Star. The ferry to Alaska is a bit of an adventure in its own right.
Thank you for your excellent photography and steady hand. First time watching and love the way you keep us clued in on what is happening including your meals and prices of trip etc. look forward to more travels.
I experienced AmTrak many times now and I love it. The only thing I did not like is the price of the food. To me is a little expensive but the food is okay. The toilet is very, very small like you're inside the airplane or probably smaller. The shower room is okay. Very noisy at night when the train is running but after a while you will get use to the noise. I recommend to get a sleeper room so you can stretch your legs while sleeping. The rooms are expensive and the first class rooms are more expensive but pretty good because it's a little bigger. I had a phobia on flying airplanes so train is the best for me to travel. Thank you for the video. You did a good job doing this video.
Thank you for giving us a great synopsis of traveling to Alaska by train & the eventual necessary plane ride. Thanks for saving me money on this tour😊Be safe in your future travels
i was in Alaska in the 1960s.....have times ever changed! i would do it in a winterized motorhome so i could enjoy the destinations longer......you traveled for 2 weeks just to walk along empty street and visit a museum in Fairbanks then returned to Seattle, you paying about 3000.00 for food, switching trains, taxi and window views is all....i took a passenger freighter boat ride up to Seward and Hyder Alaska which was cheaper and more fun but enjoyed your video..
Really enjoy these long form videos of past trips! Kuga’s dietary choices fascinate, and never disappoint…(OJ, beef and chocolate options are primo!). Glad you enjoyed UD and Canada train hospitality!
Thanks for showing the accessible room on the train. It’s nice to see ahead of time for those considering this kind of travel, along with your cautions. And as a California expat I greatly appreciate the views of my beloved Pacific Ocean and dry rolling hills with scrub oaks and Sequoia trees. I miss the beauty of this so much. (Not many people live in Alaska. Yes, this is how life is supposed to be.)
Lived in AK 1982-94. Can't believe the Anchorage train station looks the same and LA union station is beautiful. I'd love to make that trip someday. Thanks for sharing
1:45 The luxury and comfort of this train journey are absolutely breathtaking! The spacious interiors, coupled with those panoramic windows, make the start of this adventure truly magical. Can’t wait to see what Alaska holds!
I so enjoyed this. I have been watching your travels for a few years now. As a lover of trains and any form of travel it's been a joy to see the world through your eyes. I was in Japan when you were wandering around Alaska and got to see several of the areas you showed in some of your earlier programs. Thanks again for this program and good wishes always.
Am I the only one who finds it weird that I know that someone I've never met will order the Angus beef burger for lunch, will eat a buttercake and enjoy it despite it's excessive sweetness, and will definitely have the steak for dinner??😂😂 I guess that just comes from being a faithful follower of your channel! Thanks for another entertaining video!

Great video. I enjoyed it very much. However, the title is very misleading. You cannot get from Los Angeles to Alaska by "Luxurious Train" You have to go by airplane or automobile for part of the trip.
Not true. You're correct that you can't get the entire distance by train, but you can take a ferry from Washington to Alaska rather than flying, it just takes longer. Amtrak takes you from Seattle to Bellingham, WA. The ferry goes from Bellingham to Whittier, Alaska. The train will take you from Whittier to Anchorage.
