I wish Arian and his family all the happiness they deserve. These videos show us that most of us are foolishly chasing the wrong things when nature, family, and quality time can provide us with just about everything we need in life.
You included it so well! "Happiness is in the simple things." We always trap our happiness in financial dreams and material things, when the simplicity of life is what makes it beautiful. The journey of life is definitely more than worth it.
What a beautiful, respectful hard working family, Arian is such a nice boy who is being brought up with the right values in life, I love the way his mum sends him out on his own to school in a mild -40C, kiss him then waving him goodbye - priceless, what a gorgeous family.

Arian is quite the young man with skills to take him through life in a positive way. Not once did he object to anything like hard work, this young man will have a good life.
not only did he not object to any of the hard and grueling work in the cold, but he was enthusiastic and looking forward to helping. he wants to help his family. he likes helping his family. these tasks aren’t ‘annoying chores’ to him like they would be other children, in other places. he is always joyfully participating in what needs to be done, it’s very admirable.
Good life? What's good about living in a place where there's nothing to aspire for, besides living everyday to just put food on the table. There's a big world out there and Ariam, as a child, shouldn't be doing hard labour to help his parents. Some might call it a cultural thing, I call it child slavery
Arian's father: "Every parent has to raise their children to be hardworking, honest and kind" Seeing Arian help his mum prepare meals, go fishing with papa, and chop wood to keep the house warm is heartening. Wish there were more kids like Arian and more parents like his in our world. Then maybe we wouldn't have so many of the societal problems that are deeply troubling us these days. What a beautiful family!
That's because even though Russia is a capitalist country this and some other regions there have a lot of autonomy and people kept their traditional ways. These people live unalienated lives, they're deeply immersed in their environment and in what they do. They can see and feel the result of their work, unlike most of us huge capitalist centre dwellers who only see fake richness (huge office towers, shopping malls, gigantic highway systems, consumerism, generic pop culture) they get real richness (a close knit community, family, tradition, culture, spirituality _not the same as religiousness_, good health, useful and great skills etc.)
It works both ways though. Parents can't just treat their children like free labour. In return for helping hand, you need to have patience with them and spend time with them and give them lots of love.
Anybody else watching this battling depression and anxiety and thinking “it’s so cold there you really only think of and take care of things that really matter… it seems so much simpler”. Solid shelter, food, family, live.
Yes. I battle with low grade but persistent depression (very traumatic childhood). I too find the idea of this lifestyle comforting. In fact, I’m planning on buying some acreage in South Dakota and building a small log cabin on it. I’ll use solar panels and lithium batteries to power it, a rain catchment system for water, and a lot belly stove for heat. After 24 years in the AF traveling all over the world and living in the big cities most of my life, I’m so driven to live quietly and simply. I truly don’t believe humans were meant to be so overstimulated as we are today.
Primo Levi said: problems dont stack but hide after each other. If you are cold, you dont feel the hunger as much. But it is still there. He is a well known holocaust survivor and wrote books about it.
All's good till you realise you're in Russia. Seriously though, There is a connection between the weather and mood. So if you're depressed and think that -70c temps matched with 20 hours of daily darkness for months at a time is the answer you should go back to your doctor because you're obviously delusional.
It definitely is such an inspiring way of life. If given the chance, one would really flourish in this way of life, without any room for thoughts of depression. I hope you will overcome your difficult time ❤
My wife & me both clapped & cheered after watching this. (In the privacy of our home) ... these folks are truly precious. Little Arian is a Trooper. Off to school by himself in -54° !!! Amazing!!! The family outing on the lake. The WHOLE community coming together for a 1 ton haul of fish, shared by those who couldn't go as well. I believe they also consume the BEST food supply on the planet. No crime. No one worries about their children. Meanwhile, here in USA folks scamper for meaninglessness junk. Thank you for sharing this video. Peace be unto you, little Miss Yuin B.!
@@zoeyrochellezhombie829 because it's not worldwide or common. It's not so common so it holds more weight. The same reason a channel like faith in humanity restored has room to exist thrive and be amazing to people. Because it's not common every day all over the world. If it was Faith in humanity restored would have no business existing let alone doing so well.
Extreme cold or not, this is literally like heaven for me. No urban hustle and bustle, no traffic, no crime, just a community of families working hard together to live happy lives.
Yeah just having to cut tons of wood, break ice, melt it, carve the ground to fish. Your heaven is pretty different than mine lol. Hardy life for hardy people
My husband and I have talked about being a part of this kind of community anywhere. I agree that it would be like heaven compared to what most urban people are dealing with.
Anywhere with humans has crime unless it has no laws (in which case it's jungle rules, might-makes-right). Remote, low population areas and insular communities tend to hide their crime to maintain the appearance of perfect stability and order. That illusion is so critically important for the functioning of small, tight-knit communities that it must be maintained at all costs. Even if it means murders being labeled "accidents" or simply "disappearances". The most egregious examples are usually sexually-based offenses which are rarely spoken of, let alone prosecuted, inherently such insular communities have similar social structures to the one widely exposed among the FDLS cult of Warren Jeffs, whereby those of high social status are able to take advantage of the vulnerable with impunity so long as they don't do it too flagrantly and either attract outside attention or do it publicly in a way people cannot deny. If you have more than a couple hundred humans you'll have at least one psychopath and a few pedophiles. Unfortunately, they are hard to identify, and can often manipulate their way into positions of authority, unlike certain minorities that occur randomly in populations, so it's easier to target those who seem too different as scapegoats. We forget that these are the kinds of small, insular communities that, just a few centuries ago (in some cases, a few decades or less) were known for their pogroms and witch-burnings. Were it not for the negative attention such things would draw from the outside world, it would still be the case (still is in many less-connected corners of the world). The fantasy of such a place is nice. The reality, not so much.
Damn!!! This family is GANGSTER!! These are some tough people! Absolutely amazing and so resilient and resourceful. Thank you guys for sharing and helping me keep my ego and complaints in check!
Oh, this family is truly filled with love and warmth. Though the weather is harsh, it feels like an integral part of their lives. The people and the scenery here are both so charming and inviting.
With the right parents that includes both mum and dad, children are a reflection of their parents, also being from ancestors that didn't go around pillaging, reaping, murderering natives.
The fact that I've already watched some of these videos individually and then this compilation entirely is a testament to how great your content is, Kiun. It's a marvelous blend of videography, editing, storytelling and wholesome interactions about the life of families I find enrapturing to watch from start to finish. The signs of a truly talented content creator is their ability to seamlessly transfer the emotions of their story to their watchers and take them along the ride as if they're part of the journey themselves. Your videos are a beautiful achievement of just that.
The perfect family they teach their children to do everything which is awesome. The little boy was so excited and eager to learn from his mum and dad it was heartfelt. I want parents like that in my next life they are perfect. I loved everything about the way they lived real family values.

@@ashotofmercury I visit the north coast every year without fail. There is an old way of the locals, something not lost but maybe misplaced. A reminder of natures dominance
They learn three languages, how to be handy, how to cook, how to fish and how to survive in hardcore environments. This is absolutely incredible. Such a beautiful culture with such hard working people. I saw someone else say seeing this life makes them yearn for something else, and I completely agree. There is something about seeing such a beautiful community and how wonderful the people are and how close the families are. It makes the life we have, the 98% of us being glued to our phones, seem lazy and unfulfilling.
Because our ancestors have been living this way for thousands of years - hunting, foraging, socializing, building a community, raising children to be hardworking so the next generation will survive. Technology, industrialization and colonization destroyed everything "human" about us. We're no longer humans, we're more like robots doing mundane tasks over and over until we keel over and die. Meanwhile, these people live almost primitively with only a small community. For example, we as men, have this instinct to protect, to hunt, to forage and to conquer. It is in-built into our DNA. But we can't even "live off the land" nowadays due to slave labor. Now we have to work 9-11 hours at an establishment to put food on our table while these people can still eat for free by going outside and hunting fresh catches of food. That's the difference, because Yakutian people can still "live off the land" while we can't.
@@seia2758 but could there be a happy medium, where we don’t succumb to all the consumer consumption and relish the times we can be outdoors and keeping strong and learning about nature?
It may not happen in your lifetime, and certainly not in whatever is left of mine, but one day we will be back to that. Our high tech civilization is only possible because of concentrated deposits of finite resources of very high quality, and these are being exponentially (and unavoidably) depleted. This is not a criticism of the way our civilization has developed, only an observation that our way of life cannot endure longer than several generations. Nature is coming for us.
@@seia2758we could but we’v become too lazy allthough you might be surprised with young people who live on farms and in rough environments they know what to do in hard times and know how to survive its not all doom and gloom
You think it looks great but you would hate living there. It would be tough not seeing the sun a lot of the time. Not being able to go outside because it’s so cold.
Upon seeing it for the 2nd time, the following thought came cross my mind; this is one of a rare, intriguing documentary about how the people can survive in such inhospitably cold region. Btw, the fact that we are able to enjoy & appreciate its entirety w/o being interrupted its continuity by those annoying ads or adverts like those by BBC of the UK & PBS of the USA is truly our luxurious special privilege. Thus I can't be more grateful & so my heartfelt thanks to you for that!,,,,,(11/07/24)
There’s quite a difference between enjoying something and feeling content about something. They are doing what they need to do. I don’t even think that comes to mind when they are chopping wood and stuff. But they do enjoy skiing and crafts and stuff.
I would literally die in that temperature, I am from east Africa. I have only but full respect for this people. and for Aria and his family I wish you all the best and a lot of warmth.

Nah, I'm still going to complain about bad weather 😊 When it rains for a few months straight and the wind doesn't stop, I will complain and feel sorry for myself. 😂
A part of me almost feels cheated out of the qualities these people are teaching their kids. I grew up lazy, I was never asked to do any chores, watched a lot of TV and just played outside with friends. This also meant I've grown into a fairly lazy adult, who can barely cook a meal without a microwave or airfryer. Arian however has already learned how to work hard, think of others and how to help his family, plus all the tools to be self sufficient. What a beautiful way of living and a beautiful family
Yeah well I was raised like Arian was, except we had -30C degrees instead of -50C. Still lazy as an adult. Although yes, I can cook and if I had to, I could still not just survive but thrive in ass cold with no indoors plumbing and living off salted pork, potatoes and canned autumn goods. You have to understand that this life isn't blissful. It's hard, backbreaking work. If you asked me if I wanted to go back to all of that, no, I don't. Because it was hard, it was cold, and you just coped with it. It had beauty in it, all that hard work and respecting nature, but you also had to respect nature when your sister died at 4 years old because she fell through the ice and froze to death.
Thank you so much for this beautiful documentary. Incredible nature, in all of its glory, and the people are nothing but heartwarming. They say one must go to the harshest environment to learn the true colors of Mother Nature. I can now truly see the meaning of that. What an utterly delightful, beautiful family! The look of admiration on little Arian's face while watching his sister sing and play guitar, so cute. A very different life to mine, living here in London, enjoying it here but with all the crime, filth and stress to take account of.
I love how they raise their children, working them at a young age is a way of teaching them they teach them the balances of nature and how to control it but they're there with them every step of the way and that is a beautiful way to learn❤❤❤❤.
It's beautiful indeed, but on the other hand.. they have no choice. Because if they don't, they will die. Their work seems like a very fulfilling life, beautiful even. But also... Very, VERY... Necessary.
Not a place where sinister passersby stop on their way to somewhere else, I guess. That is a huge reason for low crime in remote little towns. And I can't imagine that they have a drug problem there, either. That also helps. It's not an easy life, but it seems to be a good one! (Except for the insanely long and bitterly cold winters.)

Wonderful compassionate documentary of this coldest village in Siberia, Yukatia, highlighting one family, for sharing the cultural influences that are needed as a community to survive these harsh conditions! A long winter: around 6 months. A short summer: barely 3 months. With spring and fall the other transitional seasons of about 3 months together. What is important for this lifestyle is how to respect, love and share with Nature to survive, be self-sustaining. Frozen and fresh food sources for protein are fish, meat and dairy. The balance of the rest of their diet is freezing and preserving what vegetable, herbs, fruit, berries, roots and other plant sources that are grown, gathered or bought, to last through the long, cold months. Equally important is harvesting the ice for drinking and cooking at the right time of year, as well as collecting or purchasing lake water for bathing, laundry and watering. There is a lot to learn about the importance of preserving this lifestyle. The world needs to help support the crafts, oral traditions, techniques for survival in this environment where both ancient and modern behaviors can be useful and shared for a more long, healthier, respectful, kinder, nurturing approach to all life and Nature! Beautiful documentary that should continue to be watched, reviewed, to learn from and share!! ☮️💟👍🥰♥️♥️♥️
As I always say with every video you post, I love these people!! It is what people should be, kind, loving, hardworking, caring about others as much as themselves! xoxoxo
It’s absolutely beautiful. I don’t think I could do it. I’ve lived in the desert all my life. Here in Arizona (USA) we have very hot summers, they average 115• to 117• F. But it’s only really hot for 4 to 5 months. The rest of the year it’s beautiful. Nov to Feb it gets cold in the mornings, as low as 30• F. Well cold for us, especially coming off 115• summer weather. But by noon we are usually in the 70’s F. I guess like anywhere you adapt and just get use to the climate you live in. The families are all so loving and the children so respectful and helpful. Amazed by the dogs just moving around in that cold like it is nothing.
Me too! Wondered if they’re able to take the cold.
They're built for that.
Your family is a testament on how a family should love and work together. Sadly not so much that way in the USA.❤
They also raise a certain type of cattle that are fine in the cold. It's just amazing to me.
How do they bathe? Tub or shower with cold water?
Arian is quite the young man with skills to take him through life in a positive way. Not once did he object to anything like hard work, this young man will have a good life.
not only did he not object to any of the hard and grueling work in the cold, but he was enthusiastic and looking forward to helping. he wants to help his family. he likes helping his family. these tasks aren’t ‘annoying chores’ to him like they would be other children, in other places. he is always joyfully participating in what needs to be done, it’s very admirable.
@@ancient.sleeping.magi.713Absolutely
Amen...he will persevere into manhood.
Good life?
What's good about living in a place where there's nothing to aspire for, besides living everyday to just put food on the table. There's a big world out there and Ariam, as a child, shouldn't be doing hard labour to help his parents.
Some might call it a cultural thing, I call it child slavery
@PedroMiguel-if3ll different does not mean deficient...
Arian's father: "Every parent has to raise their children to be hardworking, honest and kind"
Seeing Arian help his mum prepare meals, go fishing with papa, and chop wood to keep the house warm is heartening.
@@Riyoshi000 Very well said! 👏
It works both ways though. Parents can't just treat their children like free labour. In return for helping hand, you need to have patience with them and spend time with them and give them lots of love.
i think that's the beauty of "inconvenience" and thus, labour.
Is it possible to see a video on construction in Yakutsia - a building of some sort?

True meaning of love conquers all....nothing is negative but positive things are done❤❤
Hardy life for hardy people
No illegals 😅
My husband and I have talked about being a part of this kind of community anywhere. I agree that it would be like heaven compared to what most urban people are dealing with.
I lead a simple life. But for me, the simplicity of running indoor plumbing, and an ensuite bathroom are key.
I like that they don’t fish the same lake for three years. That allows the stock to replenish. Smart fishing/hunting practices

It's SO precious how that brown dog follows Arian everywhere.
Hear hear.
You can still learn
hard truth
Well, no one is stopping you from learning. Sucks when we're not taught as kids, but as adults we can do what we want.
