- Today we are taking a look at how to safely travel with your drone to get some great footage across the country.
TLDW? Airlines don't care about your drone, they care about your batteries. Be sure to safely pack your batteries in a battery bag like this one

This was a really cool (and high quality) video, as always! Seeing some of those drone shots of the Great Salt Lake is wild. I’d love to visit that area one day…feel like it’d be even more wild walking there in person. The tips about traveling with a drone and the batteries are very good to know. Great video again man!
Thanks! I really appreciate it. Seeing it in person I absolutely wild and very hard to capture the feeling of, but I feel like the drone helps capture some of those kinds of places.
Well, battery safe packs are a god send indeed.
Definitely gives a peace of mind while traveling.
Great tips and fantastic shots from the drone. Interesting to hear about the building burning down. I guess 3 is the magic number at this point.
Yeah, I only brushed the surface. Pretty interesting story around the place.
I loved that logo in the sand!!
Me too, credit goes to my wife for the idea. Reversed the shot to be able to have it end directly on the logo
Great video! Informative, interesting and your on your way to be the next Huell Howser!
Thanks Tom, that's truly high praise there.
Great intro, I had no idea about the spare batter thing! Still the weirdest look I've gotten from TSA was when I brought home an Arcade Stick or Border Control when asked what I'd purchased in the USA & said a game (Bayonetta, I still remember lol).
Haha, I'm sure TSA has some interesting stories about things people have brought on planes.
@@AdultsHaveToysToo Samuel L Jackson made a movie about such a thing once... I think it rhymed with "Cakes in my vein"
First!
You even beat a bot here
Oh and the text engraved in the sand shot….. “chef’s kiss”.
@@switchstreamgaming Was completely my wife's idea.
You shouldn't be walking on the dry lake bed. It breaks the protective crust that keeps SLC from becoming an arsenic filled dust bowl.
Oh, that's good to know. We just followed people out there, I'm going to pin your comment.
Great video and useful info, Im from México and usually travel to USA, And always Im a little scared of travel with a drone, I ve heard about an app to check the places where you can fly, and more important, where you can't.... Do you have a favourite app for it??
Greetings !!
B4Ufly is good for FAA clearance, but the difficult thing about the US is that each city can have it's own laws on where you can launch and land from, and there's no app that covers all local laws. You need to research each area you intend to fly.
Thanks for the answer... I thought that just with the app will be enough... You saved me from a scare... Ok so then... App + local research = nice fly :)
Pretty much, and just be nice to the people who may confront you. Depending on where you are there are still people really scared and intimidated by drones.
