I really didn't expect this music video to make me cry, but it made me so emotional. I don't know if I'm missing Taehyung/V or what. IU and Tae did such a good job with the music video, they had great chemistry and of course IU's voice is so beautiful.

I would say this is a masterpiece.. I've never cried this hard because of an MV :) I'm literally speechless and have no words to describe it. Bet the whole world is crying rn throughout the MV. The song, the melody, IU's voice, the lyrics, their emotional acting, the story, the scenes, and the MV are just incredibly beautiful and stunning. @@realistnightshade6300 why does it have anything to do with it being straight? Don’t get why sexual orientation has to be brought into the equation. It’s a MV for a song, she’s not pushing anything on anyone, regardless of what you think. I was commenting on how well I thought it was made, and just because the leads were male and female, doesn’t take away from how well they both acted in it. It was well thought out, creative, and yes, a masterpiece. If you watch the behind the scenes you’ll see just how much effort and hard work was put into it. Comparing it the way you did just wasn’t necessary imo.
Music videos don’t have to be dull and just related literally to the lyrics of a song, it can be interpreted in any way the artist wants it too. Ultimately wether you liked it or not doesn’t bother me, but the comment wasn’t that nicely put 🤷🏼♀️
Also if you’re one of those people who will start a fight and react to this negatively again, please just don’t, just leave it alone. No need for it 🤷🏼♀️

Yall I watched this right after the new mv drop from Ateez's Jongho and then this one just broke my heart! The KPOP industry was like, "Today we want you to cry" T_T This mv is fire. I was crying at the end of this MV, may seem dumb to some, but there were so many emotions. I feel this song kind of narrates to me the journey of a relationship. When everything is beautiful, fresh and young, and as you go through life, scars happen, sometimes we hurt each other, sometimes we cause people we love pain. But through it all some people manage to stay together and see each other through life, through the pain, the loss, and towards the end, remember the happy days and what brought you together to begin with, and in the end love does win all. Art is to be interpreted on your own, and that is how I see this MV and song at this time in my life. The line where she says that she does not know if it will be a bad ending for them, but she still choses to take the leap of faith into their story and still says she wants to be guided by her lover's kiss... OMG beautiful.

IU and V released a cinematic story. Resistance to hate is poetically sublimated through the music video for IU's new song 'Love Wins All'. After escaping from 'Nemo' and arriving at a ruined space, the two quickly become happy, using camcorders to show each other off and eating delicious food. They dance in their wedding dresses and tuxedos and spend what seems like an eternity of endless joy.
However, Nemo's attack happens again. Once again they try to avoid it and escape, but end up accepting reality. At the end of the music video, their bodies disappear, leaving only the wedding dress and tuxedo they were wearing. Although there are many different interpretations of the long music video, director Um Tae-hwa, in charge of production, commented, 'In the music video, 'Nemo' insistently chases IU, who is deaf, and V, who is blind in one eye, implying discrimination against the main characters. It also looks like a smartphone screen that has become a gateway for the use of various unrefined words, or a painting of prejudice and hatred. Furthermore, it can be interpreted as the various forms of discrimination and oppression that permeate our everyday lives,' he said.
There are several symbols in this music video, which can be interpreted as 'a story of survival from a dystopian worldview of a person who cannot speak and sees the world only with his left eye'. If you look closely at IU's lips, you can see a small chain hanging from them, which, according to her agency, Lee Dam, signifies her difficulty fully communicating with the world. Speaking of which, V also drew attention for wearing a white lens in his left eye, symbolizing the difficulty of full communication. So what is the meaning of the video camera with which two people were filming each other? The temporal background of the video is the present, but the screen settings captured by the video camera are from a world that was fine before it became ruins. The video camera lens represents a love filter, an important device that allows us to see the beauty of the world beyond a person's inner and outer appearance.
Lee Dam commented on the final scene where their bodies are annihilated by the 'squares' and only the 'clothes' they wore remain: 'It means they are free from all oppression and pressure and are free to fly. The dress and tuxedo falling from the sky also begs the question of whether the shapes considered significant and important in reality really show the true essence,' he said. Director Um Tae-Hwa said, 'The worldview itself is different and abstract from reality, so I accept various interpretations of the music video.'"

The boxes represent all the prejudices and judgements of the society. And when you don't fit in those boxes society will tear you down. Handicap (IU is deaf or mute and Tae and his blue eye), age gap (woman is older than him that represented by her most of the time dragging him). It's not about the end of the world. But it's them against the whole world. They were happy with their love of each other but people where mocking them, judging them. Their happy times at the restaurant and the wedding party. The anonymous face pointing there fingers.
