Actor taehyung was so incredible!!! I love seeing him acting once again. This song was so emotional and beautiful. IU voice is so stunning they really created a marvelous masterpiece.
Isn't it so refreshing to watch a beautiful love story, whether happy or sad, in a cinematic feature? Beautiful, sweet, and innocent lyrics? The deep chemistry that IU and V portrayed of the characters' love for each other was so comforting. Two people so in love that decided to die together than be apart. I love this song and MV.
IU can't hear and V’s one eye can't see ,in the end IU covered the good eyes of Taehyung so he won't see the horrible ending in front of them ,im Stuck at how a single tear from Taehyung’s good eye traced its path down his face and IU’s hand gently covered his eyes, It's as if he found a momentary refuge in her touch, offering a subtle relief from the overwhelming sensation ... AH I CAN'T STOP CRYING 😢😢
IU is maybe one of the most important singers in S.Korea for the last 15 years or so. She's very famous, like Beyonce famous in S.Korea, and already considered a legendary act, despite only 31 years old (bcs she has so many hit songs, she has like 31 number 1 songs, across all credits ).
If you're BTS' fans , actually iu has several interaction with them before, like 2 song collaboration with Suga, and 4 interviews with members in IU Palette and Sucwhita.
V so amazing actor acting out all these emotions of fear happiness sorrow furious, in a 5 minute music video is crazy because we see actors failing to act out a single emotion in an 1 hour long episode but here he is, the versatility is showing 😭They they forgot what they were running from because through the lens of the camera, they were able to just love and enjoy life until the reality caught up to them and they were taken away ICRY 😭😭❤❤❤

A lot of people say she’s deaf and others say she’s just mute. I agree with the mute as I feel she reacts too quickly for someone hard of hearing. People have said the cube is the box society wants us to fit in and both of them have disabilities so don’t fit into that box, hence people being annoyed and angry at them (the black figures). When holding hands, she pats him 3 times to sign ‘I love you’. 😢
On the director guide it is said that iu has difficulty communicating thats why she has the lip ring to indicate that
i watch your content on patreon, you have to know that IU is also a wonderfull actress in a couple of K-dramas. Especially in "My Mister" which is my fav of all time.

I have seen this video and now looking at it in the context of the lyrics makes me think they represent two people whose relationship is beyond the boundaries of race, status, gender but they stay together out of live even if it means sadness or pain. When they are in the dining room, the other robed figures come alive but are pointing at them in disapproval. The cube could be the forces that are against their live. Sort of a Romeo and Juliette story.
As others saud, IU is highly regarded and may be the most popular female artist. She is 30 now. She wanted more control over her art and therefore created her own label.
IU is a solo artist who also acts in TV and movies. Check out her latest concert, The Golden Hour or any of her movies, like My Mister. She's phenomenal!

This music video is amazing. V and IU acting is just perfection, the song is beautiful
Such a beautiful and emotional video featuring amazing acting and vocals that makes the experience so personal. I really do hope that Tae & IU do other projects together both film and music as they have great chemistry and when he was on her show their voices also blended so well. Also at the end it was pointed out by someone that he can hear what is coming but she can't, while she can see what is coming but she covers his good eye so he can't. Both cry at the same moment though and from the same left eye. Also the right side of his face seems to have burn scars so maybe he had encountered a cube before but got away at the last minute. This cube was relentless in its pursuit and even seemed to change size so it could come into the building. Earlier when it was flying overhead you could tell no way it could fit inside those hallways. I also noticed the cube waits for them to stop fighting and accept their fate. If you notice there are no other people so obviously no person is able to meet the criteria this cube holds that would allow someone to survive. The camcorder that kept showing a better reality, was giving us the viewer a happier version of the events. They both rise in the air together, their bodies still solid, while the reality is that they have been turned to ash. At the top of the camcorder right before it turns off you see ash particles in the air. I also loved how the clothes landed together on the pile. Again all of this symbolizing that even though they seemingly lost to the cube, it couldn't destroy their love for each other. They stayed together in life and death, so indeed their love did win. I can't get enough of this MV, the acting is Oscar level and combined with the award worthy vocals and lyrics it's both heartbreaking but also heartwarming that at least they went together.

There is a big clue. Is she really deaf? Many have said that she is. But look carefully. And she isn't signing. That was not ASL, American Sign Language. It was just gesturing so as not to be heard. She is disabled. But not deaf. I did my research. I found an interview with the director. So. No spoilers from me. You'll figure it out. Something fun. IU has her own interview show called "Palette".
