Good video I did my first one today and had not ever done it before. The only thing I did differently was instead of marking the centre line I worked out the distance between the parallel line that was inline with the point of the board. That meant I could check I was following the centre line a bit easier.
Helpful video - thanks! I'm planning on laying similar parquet in a utility room which isn't square - do you have a video about how to use the bevel as you mentioned at 14.50?
love the vid. just a question when u glued the start point and you were laying the flooring you were ontop does that not cause any issues with opening the gaps cos I did some herringbone and when I tried to go on to even being soo carfull it was opening up very easily
i want to do this seamlessly across the entire downstairs of my house, so hallway, dining room and living room. I appreciate it won't be perfectly centered everywhere but where would you advise I start laying out from?
Would priming P5 chipboard with watered down PVA be the best? I’m about to tackle herringbone in my living room with a P5 chipboard subfloor. Or should I purchase a specific primer alternative?
@@homeimprovementsGreat thanks! Two thirds of the subfloor is P5 and the other third is a concrete slab (original), had to self level over the top of that. Will I need to get someone to do a hygrometer reading before gluing? There’s no sign of damp and the old flooring has been up for months and so I would have seen it by now. I’ve seen videos where they don’t check moisture levels and just use a concrete sealer, other videos show moisture readings being taken. Any advice would be greatly appreciated, won’t pester you after that 😂
Do you have a video on changing out an old telephone plug socket to a new one? Can't find anything on how to do that with the new telephone socket boxes.
Hello. can you help me with some information please I have the same type of laminate flooring and I would like to know if I can clip it in the opposite direction when I leave the room, because I intend to move from one room to another without interruption. I would be very grateful.
Why did you put PVA glue down on top of chipboard? The chipboard isn't going to soak up the flooring adhesive unless it's water based... And if it is water based it would reactivate the PVA making it pointless.
Great instructional video lads. Very nice finish on the flooring.
Thanks 👍
Really enjoy watching these, great video again
Thank you 👍
Love this! That big handsome fella came across really well 😏❤
I think so too!
+1. They all are to be fair. I know that’s the wrong reason to be tuning in, coz this ain’t only fans, but I’m not sorry
This is Invaluable.
Talented lad 👏🏼

Nice job 👍🏽 👍🏽.
How does it work on underlay would u still need to glue
♥♥♥♥♥, thank you., the best video .
Thank you
What thickness ply base would you recommend when laying on top of a pine board sub floor? (It’s level)
Good job boys💪👌🤞
what if you onl have one side wood 😁
How do you keep the blade clean of glue when you’re going around? Cheers for a great video!
what is the size of those floors? 6" by 20" length? 15cm by 50cm?

It can your right we just keep on top on checking and adjusting where needed 😊
Check you boys out with some long form proper RUclips content😉😉🙌🏼🙌🏼

Long form FTW. Shorts are brain cancer.
Nice work my snickers are always from adhesive 😹

I’d go for the specified primer for the system gives you less chance of failure 😊😊

Where did you buy the flooring from mate?
Is this LVT flooring?
This one is engineered oak 😊
@homeimprovements What is better out the two ?
Why do you have to glue it? Wouldn't they all stay down once connected anyway?
This isn’t a click system mostly real wood needs glueing or nailing 😊😊
@@homeimprovements one more question. If you have to pull the wood up after some years foe whatever reason, would you ruin the floor?
Cant you use the offcuts from the other end?
What trousers you wearing lad? They look comfortable. Snickers are expensive and heavy lol
Where is that flooring from?
I’ll try have a look was a while back now 🙈
@homeimprovements thsnks
What about the man hole ??
Man hole ?
@@homeimprovements was in the middle of the floor 👍
Sock slide! 😀

Never glued flooring down before! Take it you can't glue the back of each board and stick it down as opposed to glueing the floor?
Not advisable
Great video Phil, not sure about your brother, he only talks but isn't good at anything.
🤣 that’s why we are a team 💪🏼💪🏼
