    Love the work lads. Av noticed on all your builds everything’s 400 centres am a joiner in Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 everything we build is mostly always 600 centres up here

    Why did you plaster the entire drywall? In North America we only plaster the screws and corner beads.

    These are the best videos, every part of the process explained. Did you just plug the heater into a socket? I have a fused spur that's not in use and considering wiring a socket to it for the heater to plug into.

    How did you fill the fire with the logs lads i'm asuming the fire doesn't slide out ?

    Why doesn't it look straight? The tv looks straight but its a different height at each side to the ceiling.

      Thats because the roofing need to be on the slant so they rain can run off thats why the ceiling don't look straight mate

      Thank you, the side frames were installed for the plasterboard to fix to but you can always add framework for shelves at this point if you want to add shelves. 👍🏻

    The frame sitting on top of the fireplace, was that not attached to the studs on the wall?

    I'm a DIY'er doing this job with the same fire right now. Can you show how you fitted the stop bead around the fire please? I've not use it before.
    I've just picked up some 3mm stop bead from Wickes and don't know if it sits on the surface of the board or if the hooked bottom bit goes around the edge of the board

    I never understood the TV over a fireplace concept. I mean heat goes up, wouldn't it destroy the TV?

    How does anything vent if you have plastered over all the wall?

      We installed a vent in the side of the media wall for ventilation.

      @@homeimprovements mate my wall that I want to build one on is the one between mine and my next door not solid brick do I have to attach my battens to the studs behind the wall because that might not be the size of media wall I want?
