    I believe it is a heat exchanger machine, not dual boiler 👍

    I love my Rocket, I have the black with copper inserts. Last night I did a baby shower and it was bigger than I expected lol around 50-80, yea big for a baby shower lol. I was able to pull consistently with a line of 6 back to back, yea you wait like a few seconds for it to catch up but it runs like a workhorse. After the line of 6, I allowed it to fill the boiler up which took a couple min and filled up the tank. I leave the top off with a filter attached so I can put water, but that drip tray is the most irritating thing about that machine. All through the day it worked great, 40 cups Estimated; not to bad but I know it could do more. Great review glad someone finally did one for this.

      I am always amazed at how great this machine can keep up! I agree the drip tray is the most annoying part so I always try to be close to a sink or bring a dump bucket along. Cheers!

    Thank you for your insights, I’m at the research level, enjoying an opportunity to upgrade from a Taylor and Ng Bellman stovetop to something shinier and classical. I love the look and am looking forward to honing my skills.

    This machine is a beast! I use the same machine for my low traffic branches and events. Rocket Appartamento is also super light and will make your life easier if you do events.
    We've been using these machines commercially Rocket Appartamento (for 3 years) and ECM Mechanika V Slim (for 5 years); usually pulling 70 to 150 shots without any issues.
    I live in South East Asia so we don't serve a lot of hot coffee; I think that's just the perfect scenario for this machine because you don't want to pull a shot and use the steaming wand and use the hot water all at the same time because that tend to drop the temperature of the machine.
    So if you're gonna get this machine and use it commercially just go buy a separate hot water boiler for your hot Americano to avoid temperature drop.

      this is the route i want to go with my small coffee shop just have the rocket pull the espresso shots and have a hotwater dispenser+ steamer on the side, you mentioned 70-150 shots im guessing thats per day?

      Never buy a appartemento for this😂 lamarzocco linea is the way to go. Dual boiler with PID is must have for commercial use. I own the appartemento for 2 weeks now and want to sell it as quick as possible.

    Hi, Hailey! This is a very helpful review. I just have a question, how long do you have to wait before you can pull another shot? Thanks in advance!

    • @haileypolidori5824
      @haileypolidori5824  Год назад

      I am usually able to pull at least 3 shots back to back with no issues! Anything after that only takes 1 minute or so to heat back up.

    Curious about how many shots per day you pull, the most you've pulled in a day, and the most you've pulled in an hour. Especially since it's not a commercial machine.

      My events are usually 3 hours and I have only used this machine with 50 people max - averaging 16 drinks per hour.
      Usually people are spaced out at the events I work so I can't speak for how many drinks it could handle back to back for an hour, but hopefully this helps!

    What kind of water do you use with your espresso machine?

      I use filtered water from my fridge at home, and for events I use the 5 gallon jugs you can pickup at the grocery store :)

    A pid is lacking
    Thus a kind of temp. surfing is needed
    Starting up times are long
    Ultra industrial looks
    Very heavy: about 20kg
    The vibration pump is very loud
    The Rocket Appartemento is just a hype

      Everyone has their opinions and most people love the industrial look in all aspects of life. Rockets can make great drinks just like a simple Gaggia can so extra features aren’t required. What I see happen when people have too much adjustability is their drinks aren’t that good. Sometimes simplicity is better the Rocket definitely looks great.

      In the meantime the Rocket Appartemento has been uograded with some nice features like a steanless sreel boiler.

    No good machine out of the Box:
    You have to lower the pressure 9-10bar
    - You need a brew head temperature measurement
    - Change to ims competition shower
    - Change to bottomless with VST inserts: 15g and 18g
    - Use the lamarzocco single 7g to get a good espresso
    This machine is not good. Save some money and buy the r58 with PID and dualboiler or buy the lamarzocco linea micra with 5minutes heating time

      I am on the market to get the Apartmento or the new Micra … I would mostly take 4 shots out of the machine per day.
      What do you suggest ? I know both have a big price differences.

      @Adrian-co1yz Год назад +1

      @@dineshnadar5214 Micra. No discussion. heating time, App, dual boiler, temperature stable...
      The appartemento has not even water level sensor showing the water will be empty soon 😂 it just stops during extraction. Really a waste of money

    • @tonywang7704
      @tonywang7704 Год назад

      Do agree some and not. First, if you enjoy easy to use, automatic extraction volume set up or whatever feature, Appartamento is definitely a no, go for breville 920 give you lots of feature and day boilers. But if you don’t mind to manually stop the extraction and adjust the pressure, it still can make you good coffee. Just have to look at your budget and future see if it fits you, then make your choice.

      I understand you may not like the machine but from baristas in my area that are well respected enjoy the machine. Yes the Micra has more features but it also cost 200% more. Does the Micra make a 200% better espresso? We all the answer to that. My Gaggia makes great drinks I’m not a barista but I’d put my drinks up against professional using the Gaggia. Basically get what you can afford and like to look at because great drinks can be made even with an entry level machine. Rockets look awesome and one of the machines I’m looking at to upgrade.
