My 12yr old nephew sold something on eBay but didn’t know how to send it out, the customer asked for a refund and that’s understandable. I told my nephew to let me know this time so we could figure out how to send the stuff that he sold. Even though he wasn’t sure how to ship it, I’m still proud of the little dude for trying.
I sell a few items per month on Facebook Groups & Marketplace and just do handwritten address labels. Can I use handwritten addresses for shipping items that I sell on Ebay? I'm not set up for printing labels etc. and really do not want to at this point in time while only selling an item here and there. Thanks, and I enjoyed the video!
I've made a video about this before. You need legitimate tracking on at least 80 percent of your orders that you post. Ebay will not let you use the same tracking in their system twice and of course Amazon doesn't provide a real tracking number. If Ebay sees over time that you are not showing tracking they may suspend your account. So what I recommend on high priced items is to send them a small 2 ounce first class letter or package with a small gift saying their item is on the way. You would use this tracking to show Ebay "Proof" that you have legitmate tracking. The problem is 3 to 4 bucks at a time for first class does cut into your profit.

I don't sell that many items on eBay. If I'm shipping USPS priority mail can't I just use one of their free priority mail shipping labels, and then manually enter the tracking number?
no you can go directly to the shipper and then get a tracking number and post on the listing manually. If you don't have a way to do this you can "mark as shipped" on the listing and it shows it shipped but no proof. Just hope the buyer is honest because if they want to lie and say they didn't get it, Ebay will side with them. I've had to do this a few times when I dropped shipped something i sold and bought from another Ebay to ship to my customer. This saved me shipping cost. Unfortunately you are not able to plug in the same tracking into Ebay though.
I had purchased an item on ebay with a tracking number, received a notification that item was delivered. I was home that day, didn't receive it . I went into UPS website, looked up the tracking number, turns out was also assigned to someone else as well.
the seller is not at fault, but you are also not a fault. Ebay won't force the the seller to pay you back, most likely Ebay will pay you back. Just open up a case and explain the situation and be super nice. Ebay will step in most likely and pay you.

i sold a 4# item and the buyer chose FedEx home for $23 and when I go to print the label I see that a regional A box is $9, if I use the rate A box is it a bad thing? , do I refund the difference?
your fine. Ship it priority B Post office because its still priority mail and they will get it quick. Just make sure you have the B box in hand because sometimes they are hard to get a hold of.
@@frozenhouse5362 if you want to communicate to the buyer that there is a price difference you can just go into your listing and "send refund" and just deduct the difference. You don't have to refund the whole amount. But honestly I would just ship out using Flat box b and you'd probably never hear anything again. He will not know the price, but if they say something afterwards you can refund then. I take calculated risks like that and have been for 20 years on ebay.

you have to pay for it immediately. Ebay takes it out of your credit card through managed payments

correct that is what makes printing your own labels out. I just drop my packages in the bin and leave and USPS usually will scan it that night
