I was there…age 14, with a school friend. Crush of bodies to get inside and friggin’ freezing. Oh, thank you so very much for posting this fabulous memory ✨🥰❤️❤️
This brought tears to my eyes. I was at this show as a 16 year old, and knew then I was witnessing something special. To sit here on my iPhone on my couch and see this 44 years later is completely surreal. Thank you SO much for this!
That's amazing. Do you have any cool stories from the night? Queen was before my time, so I love to hear about a band I love so much from the perspective of someone who got to see them in person.
@@milesfernando Sorry-I never replied to your question. SO many stories from this. I went with my best friends from HS. My parents also went separately (they were actually in their mid-30's so not as bizarre as it sounds). Me and my friends left early, as we went to a beer carry out that sold to minors. When we arrived to the line outside, my parents were in it and wanted us to stand with them. Of course, there was no way because I had the 12 pack of beer under my down coat (it was a cold winter night). While standing in the line, Queen pulled up in their limos to enter the arena. Brian May literally walked right by me, so I gave him a beer out of my 12 pack. One of my life highlights. The stage show was unlike anything I had ever seen in person up to that point. It was also the first time I had ever heard a band do an echo effect on vocals live, and I remember Freddie harmonizing to the playback. Just amazing.
I was there as an 18 yo with my best friend, Molly. My future husband was there also with his best friend and pushed his way to the front of the stage. They got to meet Queen afterwards. It was one of the highlights of his life.

I've seen the raw scan of this (with just speed correction), and I have to say that I do NOT enjoy this restauration at all! All the film grain is gone (YES, that is a bad thing), the colours are completely fucked, and while I understand why you did the interpoleration (super low framerate), it really washes out all the details whenever the camera moves (all the time). Doesn't work nearly as good here as it does on pro shot. I also noticed a short part in Brighton Rock being out of sync
@@GenesisMuseum no problem, I love to do that! Anyway, to the people who found the film, scanned it, synced it ect. I just don't like the way the restauration was executed. Generally tho I'm a fan of your work, just not this one at all. Have a nice day
@@GenesisMuseum I understand what you're saying, you're right, I'm just complaining but not doing it better. I've helped syncing some Pink Floyd films in the past and run an Instagram page full of rare and unseen Floyd pictures, that I often colour correct as well. Jesus Christ this footage looks great. A huge thanks to everyone involved
That is some stunning footage from the News Of The World Tour! Thanks to everyone involved, from the person who filmed it, to the ones that made it public!
I’m in Dayton Ohio right now!!!
Just about 18 minutes away from the place where they played this show!!!!!!
I live in the dayton area & saw many concerts at Hara Arena
Great footage, thanks for uploading it. It would be nice if an audio recording also surfaced.
11:36 Actually he wore Green Orange White Leotard here too
One of the most greatest pieces of footage I’ve seen from Queen, thanks to everyone involved!
great rare 8 mm footage good job what about full perfomance thanks a lot !!!!!!!!!!
This is great! I don't remember seeing so much white light when I saw them on the Jazz Tour or the Game Tour. Thanks for all the hard work!!!
what a year! so much uncirculated material is coming out of nowhere left and right I love it!!!
You did a really good job... sounds like it was difficult! And it's always so nice to have new NOTW footage- thank you
I went to this concert. It was great!
Woah! Another 8mm film comes out this year! Thanks for preserving the footage!
I remember going as a 17 year old. On the way back to Cincinnati, I remember some guy crashing his Corvette..
This footage is incredible ! Huge thanks to everyone involved :)
Thank you!!
This footage is out of this world! Thank you! ✌️❤️🎸🇨🇦
Thank you so much, this is amazing!
I was there too!
Previously uncirculated?
Either way, this looks as good as Bob Harris's NOTW footage.
He actually filmed four shows during the making of that doc, only one "Houston" has so far been seen.
Excellent! Thanks to all those involved!
Thank you SO much! It's such a great job!
This looks so surreal. Almost like a fever dream.
I was there💪😎
Nice restoration but the location 💀
News of the world tour 😎
must have got tired holding the camera up,great bits of footage though.
It was also highly against the rules back then to have cameras at shows, so they were probably trying to hide it.
@@neighborbruce i have old queen ticket stubs, its says on the back no cameras or filming allowed in the venue.
Great
God thx for these videos
Great film!
Great setlist! ❤️
5:12 Wow he really tried going for that note
Awesome!!! More. More more

Thanks! This is Epic!
Wonderful! Any chance you could share an unedited copy?
By preview does that mean the full concert exists?
