I was 9 so still too young. My first Genesis Concert wasn't till Duke in 80 (my very first concert was Yes Tourmato in 78... am sorry I missed Genesis in 78, they were just appearing on my radar at the time).
I saw Steve Hackett last Friday (the 13) in L.A. playing Seconds Out (and more) which was the first Genesis album I ever bought. It was a great, long, and emotional show actually hearing Steve play all those incredible songs for the first time.
Loved this clip. Some really great Phil moments, and though I have seen a bit of the "Genesis Live" era footage I think this is some of the most animated and varied Gabrial footage I have seen in one place.

So cool to see this footage. I was at Long Beach Arena watching yes perform tales of topographic oceans the night before and the guy sitting next to me said you got to go see Genesis at the Santa Monica Civic tomorrow night. They blow the doors off what yes just performed”. Yes sewer consummate musicians and put on amazing show. Needless to say, I was skeptical. To this day almost 50 years later, and many many shows later. Genesis performance that night is probably the most memorable. They totally blew me away. P.S. Seeing Steve Hackett on 11/18.
