  • frankenstein was the scientist, not the monster, but also, he was totally the monster
Many years ago, Brian David Gilbert and Jonah Scott talked about how most of ABBA's music could be sung by Halloween villains. This year, they turned that 3 minute conversation into a full album.

Good to have you here, i want to propose to you a new way of looking at it. Dr. Frankenstein was the creature's creator aka its dad, which, legally, would make the creature a Frankenstein. So, looking at it this way, you could argue that the monster is called Frankenstein.

Why, in that instant, did I not extinguish the spark of existence which you had so wantonly bestowed? Absolutely my favorite of the Album with Lay all your blood on me being a close second, I love how he starts full of grief and vulnerable as if begging for his research to pay off with the first gimme gimme gimme and talking hopelessly about how lonely he is, only to get much much more confident once he has succeeded and talking arrogantly about what once issues of solitude by flexing about his ability to play god.

If u like Jekyll and Hyde then Im sure u would like Frankenstein the Musical. 10/10 one of the best nonbroadway musicals in terms of its music imo.) and there is as the previous comments said, Young Frankenstein. Haven't listened to that one though :/ bc i didnt grow up with the movie so i havent seen it yet.

So just casually playing these with my mom (born circa1959) in the room, and was forced To learn that she somehow doesn't know this song. As if she has never heard it before.
This is some kind of medical marvel and should be studied.
She was alive when the song came out. My uncle (her brother) is obsessed with ABBA and it was what was always listened to in the car (because it was that, orchestral recordings, or pbs talkshows). It was on my A*Teens album growing up. She loves Mama Mia and the sequel. Yet she had never heard it before.
