The fight with Desh was Bourne's hardest fight ever.
When he started punching desh face with the book. Savage
The fact that Nicky tried to step in and help shows how close this fight was
Jason "anything could be weapon" Bourne
What makes this scene great is that there’s no music during the fight
I always tell my students, never underestimate the power of a book, it's rich in knowledge and of course a great weapon.
One of the greatest chase and fight scenes in cinematic history. Gripping, tense and intense. The asset is chasing the girl, the police is chasing Bourne, Bourne is trying to save her. It's not only the camerawork and editing but the music. It stops at times, when everyone doesn't know where their target is and starts again when the chases resume. Can watch this over and over again.
This was my favorite fight scene in the Bourne series.
The jump from the balcony to the balcony next door is genius!
Whats so great about this sequence is that it genuinely feels like Bourne might not beat him thoughtout the fight eventhough we know he'll come out on top. Its just so realistic that it seems like one wrong move and Desh is gonna take him out. I couldnt remember one fight sequence where this was achieved even remotely.
If Nicky didn't interupt, Jason would've been defeated
As a lifelong martial artist, this is one of the best choreographed fight scenes in cinematic history
Me grabbing a towel: Time to dry off.
This was Bourne's most brutal and difficult fight ever
I love how Jason adapts to Desh’s fighting style and uses his environment against him
Nicky took three pretty good shots and was still standing at the end. Impressive.
One of the few examples of well used shaky cam. The biggest problem isn't shaky cam itself, but the fact that every film after this tried to use this technique and failed miserably. Mainly because the bourne films have rapidly fast editing throughout the entire film not just the fight scenes, so it adds to the intensity and works well with the style established. Which is why it why it works well here but not in other films that lack the same style and tone. That is just my take at least.
Bourne using the towel to block the strikes from Desh...so handy.
this movie is timeless
