Big fan of Julia Stiles in the 3rd movie. I think what I like best in this scene is that Nicky is clearly no longer afraid of Jason. Look at their first interaction in Berlin. She was horrified and sure he would kill her. She seems to have quickly learned her lesson. Besides leaving her alive the first time, maybe she read some more of his file. Regardless, look at her at 2:36. She is not scared. Just determined. She knows Jason will not kill her unless she fucks up and forces him to.
I wouldn't go as far as to say she isn't scared, she was petrified in Berlin. I would say she is afraid, not really determined, because she knows what he could be forced to do depending on the situation and that might not end with her alive. She definitely looks to him for clues as to where he wants the conversation and situation to go.

Marie and Nicky were killed off. Bourne was then cast to be the lonely man who could never find love. The similarity of Marie and Nicky when they both dyed their hair the same color and cut in the same length and style is interesting. In the third movie if Bourne regained his memory, recalled his relationship with Nicky and fell in love with her the Bourne movies would have had an ending the audience would want. However, it's probably too late for a happy ending. Yet, I just saw Julia Stiles in the God Committe and she looked great. Her acting was also great.
In one of the Bourne movies (forgot which one) there is an unusual jump-through-window scene where I've never figured out how they shot that scene. Bourne runs down a hallway and jumps, crashing out of a 2nd story window and lands on the street below. But it's shot continuously from behind without any film break as he's running down the hall, crashing through the window (with camera still right behind him all the way to the ground) and onto the street. It's like the cameraman also jumped through the window right behind Bourne - maintaining that 3 foot distance the whole way. But the camera must've been small to fit through the window, and when the cameraman first landed on the ground didn't he need to use his hands to land? Yet the camera shot is clean, like he never let go of the camera. How'd they do that?
She was with us when we hunted Bourne in Berlin. Is that how she remembers this? They hunted Bourne? Really? When exactly? When he told her where she can find Nicky? Or when he told her that she looks tired?
I remember being blown away all those years ago when I first watched "The Bourne Identity" and each film got progressively better in not only telling his back story by means of his memory returning or being jogged by events etc. Also the action choreography was superb, from every hand to hand fight scene and the obligatory car chases. I loved the music/soundtrack that was used, it sounded so good and only heightened my enjoyment. P.S. I always wondered if the name Jason Bourne was a conscious decision or a nod to James Bond or Jack Bauer seeing as they all use the same initials (JB).
Don't know if Ludlum had that in mind when he created Jason Bourne for his 1980 novel The Bourne Identity (worth a read) but I don't think that Jack Bauer's character existed prior to 24 being released as a tv series. The Bourne Identity film starring Matt Damon is a remake. The original was released in the mid/late 80s and starred Richard Chamberlain as Bourne.

What would Vosen have done if Nicky answered Ruby? She's under duress so may be send her a back up while acting so cool trying not to have Bourne sense it? Like that's gonna work😂
Too many men at once going into the office would bring in too much attention. CIA is a clandestine organization and there’s only so many agents in a specific area. Perhaps the backup team could have waited in a car closer to Neal Daniel’s office (or perhaps some cafe or bar nearby), but even if there was a big team going in, Bourne would have taken them all out. Also, perhaps those other agents had other duties to attend to or other missions they would do the next day so they were on “standby” if the initial team needed help.
Nicky is not protecting Bourne in this scene. She is actually safely navigating the real world situation that she finds herself. “Noah” subsequently betrays her and she finds herself disavowed... and even worse placed inappropriately on a target list. She had no reason to doubt that Bourne asked questions that he knew the answers to. No reason to doubt that he might possess knowledge of her code words. How long had he been in the office? Did he trigger the alarm in order to ambush the security team? Did he want their equipment? She was aware of certain factors but not aware of workings of the situation. She knew Daniels was doing something but not what. She knew Bourne was after Daniels. She was being a competent professional searching for the way through the rabbit hole. The story narrative instead goes into a personal storyline and a office style political snafu... but her actions were absolutely necessary... when she is asked for the code word... and looks at Bourne... the situation is “normal” even though she is staring down a barrel... just because her work assignment is other than field operations does not mean she was incompetent or incapable. No less than the security teams take down being a potential predawn conclusion and Noah might have succeeded if he was able to accurately describe the real world and interact with reality... but he was portraying a political cover up manipulation and ongoing investigation that was intended to fail because of corruption and the ongoing operation using a version of reality that did not actually recognize reality. The reason why Bourne is able to succeed is because they are playing series of games and the misrepresentation creates the openings he moves through. This is actually a well written plot in that regard... but Nicky was betrayed by political office politics... she was not truly helping Bourne in this scene. She was successfully navigating through the intelligence situation that she found herself in using the only correctly operational options available. One wrong answer and she and the security team might have each gotten three rounds. She knew that they were alive... she knew that the next team would arrive and most likely not be prepared for Jason Bourne... but that he would be prepared for them regardless.
Sort of true. Everything you are saying is true IF she really believes Bourne would execute her. I think it is pretty clear that she KNOWS he will not. If you look at their first interaction together, she was hysterical, obviously completely believing he was going to kill her. He left her alive then, and now he has immobilized two others rather than killing them. She probably knows about his file and Marie as well. I think her immediate reaction at 2:36 shows she is not really afraid of him.
I think it's also that she knows that Bourne isn't really some bloodthirsty pyscho and that his actions are done with reason. So while she is safely navigating the situation as a pro, she also trusts that Jason is not really a killer and also has doubts about the agencies action's against him.
you cut out the best part when he calls the spanish police and shoots while throwing the phone off the table - this part makes me remember the whole scene

@Six Waves As long as she is useful to him he will keep her alive.
Nicky and Jason were a thing so all this is moot.
@@sportsguy2891 but Jason doesn't know it
Scott Adkins was one of the two C.I.A. operatives responding to the break-in.
Nicky was so cool love her so cool.
LOVE that Nicky Parsons.
ニッキーは主役のボーンの次に魅力ある人物ですね…ボーンを理解しツワモノになってゆく その姿はスピンオフの作品にしても良いぐらいです。
you've got an hour ...how long do I have?.....three minutes...(vossen you liar)
From beginning till end, Borne didn't kill a single woman, and he only kills if necessary. That's real humanity.
Nicky knew Jason's not a bad guy.
I love Nicky Parson
05:08 good girl!
Lho visto più volte senza stancarmi mai !
The whole franchise went downhill when Nicky died and Pamela was no longer involved
3:23 dang, nicky's combat sports experience

There's something about Julia Stokes (Nicky), that gives me the grits.

They could never kill Jason because he was always 2 steps ahead every time…

i'm sure there are a lot of people like me who're extremely passionate about JASON BOURNE series.... so is there any chance that we would witness another movie part of this franchise..? i'm very curious to know if jason bourne is completely wrapped or something really coming in the near future...? would be very very nice if it does.. please tell me, anybody :)
The real books are over, it's just ghost written ones left. (That's why it's "Robert Ludlum's The Bourne Whatever" now instead of "The Bourne Whatever by Robert Ludlum".) So no, it'll only be bad corporate cash grabs from now on, if there are more films.
Best movie ever
How come none of these goons ever go "You want me to go after who? Did you see what he did to the last 5 guys who tried to kill him? You want him dead so bad, do it yourself" 😂
I miss movies like this! JB is a patriot but your own country wants to kill you? This shows u that we all think we r doing the right thing but we are getting use n tossed away like nothing?🤔🤔🤔
1 hour backup it's too much of a stress if you want to lie
How did Nicky know to arrive at Daniela office right after Bourne did?
I loves to watch all scripts.
I love how he always takes out 20 assassins with just his hands, but in every scene with Nikki, he has to stand 10 feet away from her with a gun pointed at her head.
That must be some lethal b****! I think she ran treadstone😅
The CIA officer says backup will arrive in one hour but Nicky Parsons know it's in 3 minutes.
Julia Stiles is such a hottie.
Parabens a todos os participantes desta trilogia.
One hours mean 3 minutes! Reminds me by the final exam in high school I asking the teach what time is remaining he said just answer you have few minutes I found out it’s hour and half😂!!!
Really cool..
