- The most scenic section of the Rhine River Valley between Koblenz and Bingen is known as "Upper Middle Rhine Valley" and the "Rhine Gorge". UNESCO World Heritage Site, with beautiful historic towns, castles and vineyards. It has been "intimately associated with history and legend and for centuries has exercised a powerful influence on writers, artists and composers (unesco.org)".
In the video: river cruise from Koblenz to Rüdesheim am Rhein and visit to several of the castles and historic towns along the river.

I lived in Koblenz and had to go to school in Mainz, so I went through this (best!) part of the Rhinevalley TWICE a day by train. I'm still impressed everytime I go.
Koblenz to Trier is the Mosel-Valley, which is amazing, too.

Well lived there for a while and it was the most depressing time of my life... But it wasn't because of the indeed picturesque landscape of course.

So much good footage here, its hard to put a handle on it. River scenes were truly magic, the old castles were fascinating and the town scenes were very good.
I went to Rüdesheim in 2011. Such a beautiful place.

My ancestors on my father's side emigrated from that region to the New World in 1726. They probably sailed right down that same river on to England to be sworn as British subjects, then off to Philadelphia. I've always been grateful they left. Their descendants were blessed to be born in America.

I've been on a short cruise on a ferry up the Rhine River to Marksburg Castle and loved seeing the Rhine River Valley with all of the vineyards and the legends of the Lorelei of the Rhine is absolutely fascinating as well.
I lived in Frankfurt for 10 years. I got married in one of the castles along the Rhein. That’s my favorite place in Germany. We used to go for hikes with our dog almost every weekend. I feel so nostalgic watching your video. 😢you bring back only good memories. Thank you for sharing, so beautiful and the music is great! Well done!

I hitchhiked down the Rhine in the early 80s.best way to do it.what a trip. Sleeping rough on the banks of the river. nothing like it.

What really amazes me is that practically all the historical buildings except Heidelburg and the castles on the hillside along the Rhine River Valley bank are totally rebuilt brick by brick to their finest details as they were once before in the 18th century and before after the fall of the Third Reich.

The Rhine River, which is a very crucial asset for the German economy from what I learned, is very inspiring, and want to learn from this model for my country, which has a similar utilized asset, River Gambia. A river tour across the Rhine River and its industries is on my todo list.

I love this area so much, I've been three times and stayed in three different places, taking day trips out to other towns. Its a wonderful place and when this pandemic is over I'd like to go again but time is running out for me so fingers crossed. Rudesheim is my favourite place but anywhere else is also magic.
