…Yes, I was passing through some parts of the Rhine Valeey about twenty years ago… Any of my suggestions would not surpass in travel expertise yours, Gary. About, six days ago my mother and I visited another valley at the other part of the World: namely, the Alazani Valley in Georgia. It was so beautiful!!! Also and, especially, when viewed from the Signahi city and the Veranda of the Fine Arts - Ethnography Museum of it… They have such captivating works by Niko Pirosmani there! Have you ever visited the Alazani Valley, Gary???
Thanks so much for this video! I am currently reading an autobiography called: The Hard Road of Dreams Remembering Not to Forget -by Robert B. Kahn who is a friend of mine and he describes taking this journey as a child pre-WW2. At 97 years old he is so fond of this area and what a treat to have found this video to give me a visual. Well done!
I've travelled to that part of the Rhein several times whilst youth hostelling. The fortress at Ehrenbreitstein was the first youth hotel I ever stayed at. Using the river ferry or train we zigzagged up river towards Bingen and Rüdesheim. Best youth hostel is Burg Stahleck at Bacharach, a 12th century fortress. Definitely worth a few days.
This seems to be a very charming place, I hope I can visit sometime in the future when all this is over. Seeing and sharing places like this is why I love traveling and make videos so much! And please keep up the great job! Subscribed!!
“…Loreley… Ley! Ley!!!...” - remember the song by the “Chengis Khan”, Gary? One of my most favorite songs! I truly enjoyed, this work of the video art.
Splendid video, my friend! I am going overseas next year with a Donauschwaben group here in Ohio. I don't know if we'll be in the Rhine region at all, but if not, I certainly have it on my bucket list. It is from that part of the world that much of my German ancestry originated.
This all very interesting. But, I'm not sure how to go about visiting all these places on a leisurely schedule. The KD boats seem to have set schedules with short stops, not allowing much time. I don't see where these boats may have several trips allowing you to board the next boat coming your way. Please advise.
WOW! This is Gold! Thanks for the infos. I am going to Heidelberg this year n was planning to visit burg eltz from there but now i feel this trip would be more interesting! Do they have morning boat schedules from rudesheim? Also From which station u take the train to rudesheim back as i see 2 names St goar and Sankt Goarshausen ? Thnx.
Can you recommend a reliable and reputable Cruise line to see all that you recommended seeing? I checked Trip Advisor and Viator cruise ships but they have a lot of negative reviews. Thank you so much. A. Velasco
…Probably, just a glitch… But it certainly thwarted quite a few clauses in our travel plan… As part of her 70th Anniversary Trip my mother, travelling through lovely and beautiful Georgia, was unable to communicate and share her impression with her friends in Russia, Israel, USA… Well… our world is not perfect… But the irresponsible, corrupt gadgets and internet vendors make it even more worrisome and imperfect… Besides, there are so many hackers… Hopefully, one day it all be gone forever and for good… And that this one day is not in too distant future… Hopefully!
I've seen so many places here, and I've been to Koblenz ten times by now... I am so in love with that place
Excellent summary of the best things to consider seeing on the Rhine.
Wunderschönes Ziel der Rhein und tolles Video ❤❤❤❤😊
I adore river cruising the Rhine.
The rhine river valley between Bingen and Koblenz is marvelous for sure. I can also recommend the Mosel (Moselle) river valley, its beautiful aswell.
Does anyone else watch travel videos about places you have already been or where you live, or is this just me? 😂
AngebeRin😜
I do
Very good ,detsiled & educational video !! Gorgeous Rhine tiver !! 😍👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
Wow! A must see next time we are in Germany. Great video and you have just added a bucket-list for us on our travels. Thank-you!
Have you been to the Rhine Valley, either by land or on a river cruise? Do you have any other tips and suggestions?

Germany is beautiful in the Rhine valley. Each city has it's Cathedral and scenery. The German food is O K. The castles are a must see.
Great video, very helpful
Glad it was helpful!
Concise and informative. Good tips for someone passing through is enchanted portion of Germany.
Great video as usual. Especially useful since I am going on a AMA Waterways. Rhine Cruise in March 2023.
Went here in 1988. Aged 17 with my parents. Lovely area, clean, no litter, dog pooh or graffitti.
Right on spot. Great video.
Thank you for a very informative video. We are going in October and are enjoying watching your videos. Can't wait now 👏
Hope you enjoy it!

Hey Gary...another great video! I did a similar trip, but it was sooo long ago, I would love to do it again.
+Mike's Road Trip Thanks Mike! Great to hear. It’s a beautiful and interesting part of the world. Hope you get back soon!!

@@joshua_wherley sorry to hear that, hopefully youll make itvhere soon
Hi Gary, why do you suggest starting in Rudesheim, taking the boat, and then going back to Rudesheim and later getting again on the boat?
Prekratke su scene.

Hi how are you? How many days you need to do all that what you did in this video
Rhine is quite elligant l use to watch Ships go up and down the Rhine.
Good informative video, but wow slow down with the clips switching every second!
I read that the underwater reef that's been so perilous was removed (blown up?) a long time ago, so that the actual peril was removed. Is it true?

I don't like crowds. Is it possible to cook and eat in your room?
Hello, may I know how many days did u take to visit all places in this video? If it is within a day, how many hours did it take? Thank you!
I spent four days doing these. It could be done in three but would be very rushed !
Can you please write the name of the two castles you visited on your way to Koblenz?
Burg Rheinfels (near St. Goar) and Schloss Stolzenfels
Can you recommend a reliable and reputable Cruise line to see all that you recommended seeing? I checked Trip Advisor and Viator cruise ships but they have a lot of negative reviews. Thank you so much. A. Velasco
Here are river cruise lines that do the route: ruclips.net/video/QvpVqYfhEXU/видео.html
