2006 Corolla: Read for easier method.
First off, thank you for this video. I changed my pump 2.5 years ago using this video as my guide...it's the best out there! Unfortunately the Amazon pump didn't last long.
On an 06 Corolla the pump does not face back to the tire, it faces out to the street.
EASIER METHOD:
1. No need to take off the tire! Turn the wheel to the right as far as it will go. You don't need any more room then that. Trust me I've done it twice.
2. Pop off the snap clips in the wheel well and go under the car and undo the two screws. Wiggle the liner and you'll see the two screws that need to be undone. The car does not have to be jacked up as it easily reachable.
3. Pull the wheel well liner back (it's very flexible) This will expose a single screw that need to be undone that bolts the fender corner on. Undo it and pull the fender back and follow the seem just under the light and there is a little black tab that needs to be pushed in with a screwdriver. After that you can pull the fender back enough and wedge a screw driver handle in between to keep it pried open. That's all the room you'll need for the swap.
If it's hard to follow along just watch the video to get the gist of what I'm saying.
Good to have some extra Christmas tree fasteners as they are easy to break.
My friend removed the wheel for one reason and one reason only: so you can see a better and clearer picture of what I'm doing. The wheel restricts the view of the windshield washer pump quite a bit 😁😁

My 04 Corolla seems to be a bit different. I tried doing it without taking the whole wheelwell cover off but I guess I'll haveto because I couldn't see the pump let alone take it out! Great guitar work too!

Thanks for this. I watched another video where they took the wole front bumper/apron off, which I was dreading with all those fiddly clips. Just un-clipping and getting put back together, much better way to go.

You only have to do that if you want to take the windshield washer fluid tank out not for the pumps you only take out the wheel well cover.

Nice job! Very helpful. The only thing I did differently was to not take off the tire. Trying to save time because it's cold here today 😁.
I was hoping to unclip just enough of them to get my hands in there which worked for getting the old one out but I couldn't find a way to put enough pressure on it to get the new one in so I ended up taking out all of the screws and clips like you did. Even after that I couldn't get the new one in, but now with more room to work with I used a 4" C-clamp to put enough force on the new pump to get it properly seated. Working great now! Thanks!

@@YiannisPagonis Well I live near Chicago and nothing is coming out of my sprayers. I dont hear any pump sound and the fluid is topped off and not leaking.
@@adriancampos2524 Make sure the washer nozzle jets are free. The problem could be that your windshield wiper nozzles are clogged. Listen to see if you can hear the washer pump running. The best way to do this is with the ignition on but the engine not running. That way it will be easier to hear. Get a helper. You’ll need someone to push or turn the knob while you listen. If you can hear the motor running, that’s great. If you still do not hear the washer pump working then check its fuse or the washer pump itself.

Τώρα που βλέπω το βιβλιαράκι του αυτοκινήτου, αυτή η ασφάλεια βρίσκεται κάτω από τον πίνακα οργάνων και είναι η Νο 16 με χωρητικότητα 15 Αμπέρ (Windshield washer). Αλλά για απόλυτη σιγουριά θα το ελέγξω αύριο στο αυτοκίνητο μου και θα σου πω οκ; Έχουμε ακριβώς το ίδιο μοντέλο αυτοκινήτου;

Αλλά η θέση αυτής της ασφάλεια πρέπει να βρίσκεται κάτω από το ταμπλό. Όταν πατάς τον μοχλό των υαλοκαθαριστήρων ακούς κάποιον ήχο από την αντλία;
