I have a problem with my car, Corolla 2014, where vibrations occur in the engine while it is standing only, and it disappears when I move. I was unable to find out the reason, and I lost a lot of money, and the problem still exists. Can you advise me about this problem?
Hi, thanks for your video. One question, I have a 2008 Toyota Corolla with 230,000 km with a 1.8-liter manual gearbox type 1ZZ-FE. The problem is that when turning on it starts at 1300 rpm and as it heats up they go up to 2000, that is, it does the other way around since I understand it should go down to around 900 rpm. and already hot I go out and when I make the gear changes I see that the rpm's go up and down between 2000 and 1000 rpm's and when I continue the march the minimum is 2000 rpm. If I leave it running stopped the car stays at 2000 rpm's. I clarify that with a Toyota scanner it did not give an error. Well we removed the carburetor, total cleaning including the MAF sensor of the filter, I clarify that you cannot remove the IAC valve to clean it because it has a key that I do not know and I think it is a pentalobe, but the carburetion body was submerged in non-abrasive removing liquids and it came out a lot of dirt We measured TPS and IAC with a multimeter, we simulated with power and everything was fine. We checked the pipes that had never been touched and they were impeccable. We put everything together and it starts making the same failure. So I disconnected the EGR vacuum valve and there the rpm's dropped a bit but after five seconds it accelerates and when connecting the hose, it returns to 2000 rpm. The same if I disconnect the PCV valve and it idles from 300 to 500 rpm's almost stopping, but it continues to oscillate from 300 to 500 rpm's. I took out the PCV valve and it made noise when I shook it, I still cleaned it and replaced it and the problem continues, I already ordered the original. Could it be a failure in the EGR vacuum valve or Crankshaft and Cam Sensor (CKP and CMP), temperature or oil drain? Also remove the VVT-I valve, clean with the carburetor and try with a tester. I got the new original MAF sensor and had no solution. I am disoriented since the scanner, from the original Toyota brand, does not give an error and the Check Engine light does not come on either. greetings
Dude I think your problem is with the already stuck Idle Air Control Valve: So remove it and clean it. Watch the video below so you can do it yourself ruclips.net/video/vvSrMptzo_0/видео.html
@@YiannisPagonis Thanks for answering, yes I saw your video and thanks to it I was able to remove the throttle body, when we removed the throttle body I left it for 1 hour with special cleaning fluids, no dirt came out, but with one detail, the IAC valve I could not remove it since for this you have to have a special tool (JIS) called a pentalobe that I could not find anywhere since it is reserved for dealerships... and you told me it was a size 25 even, I don't know what check, unless it is the ECU that does not control well. and I agree with you friend. I also tell you that I have put new and original Toyota spark plugs, PSV, Intake Gasket, MAF, air filter, everything is cleaned with Wurth products and worst of all is that with a toyota scanner and others quality does not tell us anything... also you take it out and everything is impeccable since the car belonged to a neighbor who had it from scratch and I saw how he took care of it in addition to having all the papers of the 18 official Toyota services and the Spare parts, it happens that I live far from an official Toyota center and the closest one did not find the defect either. Thanks for answering, if I find it I'll post it to help other people too. Greetings
@@YiannisPagonis I forgot to clarify that something I found is that by disconnecting the MAF connector (air flow) the fault disappears and only the dashboard light comes on, but it is very harmful, because the idle speed drops to 500 rpm, which means that you cannot exceed 3,000 rmps, that is, you won't go more than 80 k/h and obviously the brake is very hard.

If your engine longevity is a concern to you and you want to keep your engine running nice and smooth, you must do regular check-ups and maintenance. The most important thing for engine longevity is having an appropriate circulation of quality engine oil. Engine oil is the lifeblood of every engine; it cleans and lubricates the internal engine parts and makes its movement friction-free, but that’s not all. This is just a tip of what it does. Motor oil helps to maintain an engine’s optimum operating temperature, preventing the engine from overheating. If you don’t want to encounter engine oil clumpy issues, you need to carry out a regular oil change. Failure to do this, your engine oil might clump and stick together and clog your engine in the process. This is known as engine sludge. Those who don’t learn the symptoms and how to clean engine sludge are putting their cars at risk, which could cause severe engine damage resulting in costly repair bills. What causes oil sludge? Engine sludge is usually caused by low operating temperature, lousy or poorly designed crankcase ventilation system, crankshaft-induced cavitation, or internal water leaks, and can accumulate over time. Engine sludge can cause poor engine performance or seizure - this typically happens on rare occasions when you neglect to change your engine oil regularly or drive the vehicle with extensively low motor oil. You should periodically change your engine oil to be on the safe side. Engine Oil sludge symptoms The only way to see if you have sludge in your engine is by looking at it, and you would have to remove the valve cover. There are engine oil sludge symptoms you should watch out for that shows whether or not you have sludge in your engine. If you encounter any of these signs, it could mean you have sludge in your engine, and it’s time to flush the engine. 1. Ticking or clicking Noise from the tappet. When an engine develops sludge, the sludge is usually seen near the tappet areas below the head. The sludge will not allow the tappet and the hydraulic jacks to operate freely, thereby causing a ticking or clicking sound. The reason is that the sludge is blocking oil galleries resulting in not enough oil to lubricate the rams and the springs. The tappet controls the movement of exhaust valves and air intakes, and they move several times per second, which is why engine sludge is mostly found in these areas. The engine oil breaks down quickly because it starts lubricating many engine components once you turn on the engine. The ticking or clicking continues until you flush the engine. Then, the tappets and springs will start working nicely and smoothly. 2. Low oil pressure and warning light Since the engine oil sludge can block oil galleries, it will reduce the speed at which the motor oil circulates, and when the engine sludge reduces the oil circulating pressure, it will trigger the check engine light. This can cause catastrophic problems to engine-moving components since they are not receiving appropriate oil for lubrication. If the oil filter becomes clogged due to engine sludge, it will drastically reduce the oil pressure at which the oil pump circulates the oil. In some cases, the engine oil might not get to the cylinder head. Under this condition, it is best to pull out the engine, disassemble it, and thoroughly wash the engine parts with part washer solvents to avoid problems that may require total engine replacement. Generally, if you have engine sludge, your O2 sensor will start malfunctioning and cause your engine to misfire, and you will notice reduce fuel economy. If you see these problems after having hard starting issues, it’s likely that you have engine sludge.
@@YiannisPagonis Thank you for the information. Is the camshaft sensor the same as a cam sensor? I heard another mechanic working on a Chrysler Town and Country mention that if you pull out the cam sensor and find sludge, it's a sign not to buy the vehicle. However, he only pulled out one. I noticed you mentioned the Corolla has two, so I wanted to confirm that we are referring to the same component. Thank you.
@@joemadison5527 My friend there are 2 sensors in the Corolla. 1 for the camshaft and 1 other for the crankshaft. Now if you find mud on 1 of them or even 2 then what you have to do, which is simpler and not that difficult, is to remove them and clean them. Then flush the engine with a very good engine cleaning fluid from sludge, dried oils, etc. The other solution, which is the most extreme and more expensive, is to disassemble the engine and clean all its components.
Thanks a lot. It's a nice video with a brief note. I have one question. If you can pls give me some information. I've 2005 corrola, most of the time when the engine cold specialy morning, it has hard starting. Nozzles, feed pump & throttle they are in a good condition. Can you give me a hint to solve this problem?
So my friend your problem is probably in the fuel pump pressure regulator which is located on the fuel pump. When a fuel pump malfunctions, fuel cannot reach the engine upon ignition. If this happens, the engine will crank but some times catch. To diagnose a fuel pump malfunction, check for a low pressure in the fuel line. Also check the condition of the fuel filter. Check out the video below: ruclips.net/video/sSSgyUrjGUM/видео.html
When your engine cranks but won't start or run, it could mean your engine is having trouble producing a spark, getting fuel, or creating compression. The most common causes are problems in the ignition (for example, a bad ignition coil) or fuel system (for example, a clogged fuel filter).
Hello Yiannis, first of all, thank you for all your videos. I have a vehicle with a 2008 model corolla 1.4 d4d engine. When I opened the hood of the car the other day, I saw oil in many places. Do you think the vehicle is leaking oil from here?
Hello my friend. One of the most common reasons your car might be leaking oil is a damaged oil pan. The oil pan serves as a storage area for oil when the engine isn't using it. The oil pan includes a gasket that isolates the oil pan from the engine block. A damaged oil pan or gasket can cause an oil leak.
@@YiannisPagonis I looked and there was no oil leak at that point. The car's cylinder head gasket burned before. We replaced this gasket. When I looked now, I saw that the oil came from there. I think the problem is big, we'll see how much bigger it will get when it opens. :)
@@dogucanozturk5114 My friend, if the oil leak really comes from the cylinder head gasket, then the problem is indeed very big because in addition to the oil leak, you also have a loss of engine cylinder compression (loss of engine power). The more the neglect then the problem will become bigger. It looks like something was done wrong by the mechanic the last time you changed the cylinder head gasket. Ask him to tell you what mistake/mistakes he did.
I had changed the oil and filter on my 2011 Toyota Camry for years at 7000 Miles . Using an engine flush such as Liqui-Moly or AmsOil , expecting this to prevent the need for this . And using Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 0W20 and a AmsOil filter .

A faulty VVT solenoid can prevent the VVT actuator from getting the oil pressure it needs. When this happens, you may hear a rattling noise or ticking noise from the engine.
@@trkmusicandpeace644 Have you cleaned and checked the camshaft timing oil control valve? What was the result of this test? Does this valve have a functional problem?
@@YiannisPagonis yes I connected with 12v battery and checked it's working(I heard 'tik tik' sound) but I didn't check solenoid resistance. And please can you say how many Ohms for Volvo V40 2004?
Thank you my my friend What is a camshaft timing oil control valve? The Oil Control Valve (OCV) is a a critical part used in every engine that is fitted with variable valve technology (VVT). A single control valve will regulate the supply of oil to a designated VVT hub, to advance or retard the timing by altering the camshaft angle position. What happens when oil control valve goes bad? If you replace an oil control valve on your own and don't do it properly, it could result in your car's engine being flooded with oil or not getting the oil it needs. Both of these situations could be catastrophic for your vehicle and could eventually cause engine components to wear down and stop working.
3 Bad Oil Control Valve Symptoms 1) Poor Fuel Economy The main purposes of variable valve timing is to make sure that the valves open and close at the right time to boost engine performance as well as to reduce the consumption of fuel. If the VVT solenoid stops working, the whole system may be compromised, in which may result in intake and exhaust valves opening and closing at the wrong time. This in turn can cause a drastic reduction in how many Km you can travel per litre of fuel. 2) Rough Engine Idle The next thing that you need to consider is the VVT system on your vehicle. This system will automatically be activated when your car’s RPM is higher than normal or there is an additional requirement for power such as when passing a another vehicle on an incline. If the VVT solenoid in your car is faulty, it can cause the engine to idle rough. The engine RPM will fluctuate which can directly result in a reduction of power generated by your car. Although there are many other causes for rough idling, a failing oil control valve should be considered on cars equipped with VVT technology. 3) Check Engine Light Like when other electronic components of an engine fail, the vehicle’s computer can sense a oil control valve failure and in turn turn on the check engine light in your instrument cluster. Using a diagnostic scanner, you can determine if this part is the cause of your problems or if it’s something entirely different.

If your car's transmission is poorly lubricated, metal components inside of it will grind against one another. This can lead to a rattling sound as gears wear down inside the transmission. Even worse, these gears may eventually make the transmission unusable.
Basic Function Of Engine Oil Control Valve: The oil control valve is basically what controls the flow of oil into the camshaft of the engine (especially upper portion of the engine). This allows the internal moving parts of the engine to sustain their functionality

Interesting, but oil runs through the valve which lubricates the valve naturally, so cleaning it is not necessary. Just change your oil regularly and change or clean the OCV filter. Oil works better than WD40 or use a carbon cleaner.

The most common reason a car is hard to start when warm is due to a defective crankshaft or camshaft position sensor. However, it could also be caused by a clogged air filter, faulty battery connection, vapor lock, or a bad ground connection.
Follow these simple tips to help make your car go further between fills. 1. Drive economically Around town, you’ll use less fuel if you: Drive smoothly and try to maintain a steady speed Use the gearbox sensibly, and change up through the gears as soon as practical If you drive an automatic, ease back slightly on the accelerator once the car has gained sufficient speed Avoid peak hour and other heavy traffic where possible Avoid engine idling for long periods. On the freeway, you’ll use less fuel if you: Reduce speed - you can reduce your fuel consumption by as much as 25% by taking 20 km/h off your speed Use cruise control if you’ve got it Use your car’s air conditioner sparingly Keep the windows up and use the ventilation system when travelling over about 50 km/h, if your car doesn’t have air conditioning If your car’s transmission has power and economy modes, use the economy mode to ensure the transmission up-shifts earlier. All of the above tips also help reduce wear and tear on your car’s brakes, tyres and the other mechanical parts. So you’ll save on running costs too. 2. Care for your car and save Get your car serviced regularly to keep its running costs down and to help save on fuel. As part of caring for your car, you should: Keep the engine correctly tuned Keep filters in good condition Keep the fuel and ignition systems in good working order Regularly change the engine oil using the correct grade of oil as recommended by the manufacturer. 3. Inflate tyres correctly Check your tyre pressure once a week, when the tyres are cold. Keep your tyres inflated to a pressure slightly higher than that stated in the vehicle handbook (you can also find the tyre pressure on the tyre placard, which is typically inside the glove box, on the driver’s door or on the fuel filler flap). Setting the tyre pressure slightly higher will aid in fuel economy and safer handling. 4. Check the wheel alignment Ensure the wheel alignment is correctly set and the brakes aren’t dragging, as these can both increase rolling resistance - and chew up more fuel. 5. Check your load If you can, reduce the amount of gear in your car. Things like golf clubs and toolboxes add unnecessary weight, which in turn increases fuel consumption. External attachments such as roof racks will increase wind resistance and fuel use. If possible remove them when not in use; and when you are using them, load them carefully to minimise wind resistance. 6. Use the smaller of two cars If your household has two or more cars, use the more fuel efficient one wherever possible. Get into the habit of using the others only when necessary. If you’re in the market for a new car, consider fuel efficiency. 7. Be wary of fuel savings devices There are many devices on the market claiming to improve your car's performance and save buckets of fuel. Very few have been proven to work by repeatable scientific tests. If you’re considering such devices, do your research carefully. Only consider products that are proven by a properly accredited local testing authority using the Australian Standard 4430.2 test protocol. Australian Standard 4430.2 is an internationally recognised test that was specifically devised to test products that claim to improve performance and reduce fuel consumption. Also consider the economics of installing the device itself, and weigh up how long will it take to recoup the cost of installation against future fuel savings. 8. Use your car less One of the best ways to save on fuel costs is to stop using your car so much! Explore other options like public transport, car pooling, walking or riding a bike. If you must use your car, try to combine a few smaller trips into one. A cold engine is less fuel-efficient and emits more pollutants than a warm engine, so several shorter trips will use more fuel than one longer trip. Because cleaning removes accumulated burnt or unsuitable oils that make this valve difficult to operate. With a faulty oil control valve or VVT solenoid, excess engine oil may be introduced into the VVT system which can result in rough idling, stalling, or just poor engine running in general.
4 Symptoms of a Bad Oil Control Valve (and VVT Solenoid) The Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid and Oil Control Valve (OCV) comprise an integrated unit. This unit can malfunction. When it does, any or all of these symptoms can alert you to problems: 1. Rough Idle Under normal conditions, the VVT system activates at higher RPMs or when under load bearing conditions such as driving up a hill. But with a faulty oil control valve or VVT solenoid, excess engine oil may be introduced into the VVT system which can result in rough idling, stalling, or just poor engine running in general. 2. Poor Acceleration The engine will accelerate more slowly than normal. Power to accelerate quickly and/or climb hills will be lacking. While you may think this isn’t that big of a deal, there may be times where you need to floor it to prevent an accident. When that power isn’t there, there’s not much you can do. 3. Poor Gas Mileage One of the benefits of variable valve timing is an increase in fuel economy. But when the oil control valve is faulty, that benefit disappears as intake and exhaust valves may open or close at the incorrect times. Over a period of time, you will note an increase in fuel consumption. 4. Check Engine Light Invariably, the check engine light (CEL) will come on. A code will be set by the onboard diagnostic system (OBD2). This code will indicate whether the problems you are noting are related to the OCV and its related VVT solenoid. DTC P0014 and DTC P0017 are two such codes related to VVT. As with all CEL ‘on’ events the car may be driven for short distances but must soon be seen by a service technician for corrective action.

Because cleaning removes accumulated burnt or unsuitable oils that make this valve difficult to operate. With a faulty oil control valve or VVT solenoid, excess engine oil may be introduced into the VVT system which can result in rough idling, stalling, or just poor engine running in general. What is a camshaft timing oil control valve?
My friend this is Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve of the VVT-i system and its filter is just below this valve which I cleaned and uploaded to my channel.

Watch the video below so you can do it yourself

Thanks for posting

What if there is sludge on the cam sensor?
Engine Oil sludge symptoms
The only way to see if you have sludge in your engine is by looking at it, and you would have to remove the valve cover.
2. Low oil pressure and warning light
Since the engine oil sludge can block oil galleries, it will reduce the speed at which the motor oil circulates, and when the engine sludge reduces the oil circulating pressure, it will trigger the check engine light.
@@joemadison5527 They are 2 different sensors that each of them does its job

Check out the video below:

Sir I have a problem with my allion 2zr engine it's not firing have tried to change the crankshaft and camshaft sensor still it's not firing

Car. That VVT sensor make noise when I put in idling. Can you help me?
A faulty VVT solenoid can prevent the VVT actuator from getting the oil pressure it needs. When this happens, you may hear a rattling noise or ticking noise from the engine.

So What happens if it does not work well?
Thank you my my friend
What is a camshaft timing oil control valve?
The Oil Control Valve (OCV) is a a critical part used in every engine that is fitted with variable valve technology (VVT). A single control valve will regulate the supply of oil to a designated VVT hub, to advance or retard the timing by altering the camshaft angle position.
What happens when oil control valve goes bad?
If you replace an oil control valve on your own and don't do it properly, it could result in your car's engine being flooded with oil or not getting the oil it needs. Both of these situations could be catastrophic for your vehicle and could eventually cause engine components to wear down and stop working.
3 Bad Oil Control Valve Symptoms
1) Poor Fuel Economy
The main purposes of variable valve timing is to make sure that the valves open and close at the right time to boost engine performance as well as to reduce the consumption of fuel. If the VVT solenoid stops working, the whole system may be compromised, in which may result in intake and exhaust valves opening and closing at the wrong time. This in turn can cause a drastic reduction in how many Km you can travel per litre of fuel.
2) Rough Engine Idle
The next thing that you need to consider is the VVT system on your vehicle.
3) Check Engine Light
Like when other electronic components of an engine fail, the vehicle’s computer can sense a oil control valve failure and in turn turn on the check engine light in your instrument cluster. Using a diagnostic scanner, you can determine if this part is the cause of your problems or if it’s something entirely different.
@@YiannisPagonis this is what i was searching, and i have a question if you won't mind, what is the cause of hard start of an engine (1ZZ) when hot? Starts normally when cold.
Thanks a lot.
@@patipatinho8455 Thank you very much my friend for your kind words.
And now what causes hard starting when engine is hot?
Hard warm starts can also be traced to a leaking fuel pressure regulator (FPR) or fuel injector. ... If the fuel lines are hot, under hot weather conditions and a hot engine, the fuel will have room to evaporate inside the line, creating a hard-to-start condition. Other symptoms of a bad FPR: stalling.

Why does my car 2005 Toyota corolla make a matalic noise when i accelerate quickly
If your car's transmission is poorly lubricated, metal components inside of it will grind against one another. This can lead to a rattling sound as gears wear down inside the transmission. Even worse, these gears may eventually make the transmission unusable.
What is the function of the oil control sensur
Basic Function Of Engine Oil Control Valve:
The oil control valve is basically what controls the flow of oil into the camshaft of the engine (especially upper portion of the engine). This allows the internal moving parts of the engine to sustain their functionality

What symptoms will car get if camshaft sensor is dirty?
A glowing check engine light, stalling, poor acceleration and bad fuel mileage are all possible signs your camshaft position sensor may be failing. Gone are the days of carburetors and distributors, replaced by a variety of sensors that help a car's computer get the maximum performance out of the engine
Good work

I don't think so my friend
Do you know where is the camshaft position intake actuator?
The intake camshaft actuator features a gray electrical plug and is located closer to the front of the vehicle on the top of the cylinder head.
Interesting, but oil runs through the valve which lubricates the valve naturally, so cleaning it is not necessary. Just change your oil regularly and change or clean the OCV filter. Oil works better than WD40 or use a carbon cleaner.
I agree that all this should be done as part of proper preventive maintenance and always according to the manufacturer's requirements
Pode ocorrer carbonização e emperrar a válvula.

Αν σε περίπτωση που αυτή η βαλβίδα δεν λειτουργεί σωστά,πως το καταλαβαίνεις κατα την λειτουργία του κινητήρα; Ανάβει κάποιο λαμπάκι, ή γενικά σου παρουσιάζει κάτι;
Τι κάνει η βαλβίδα ελέγχου λαδιού;

Follow these simple tips to help make your car go further between fills.
1. Drive economically
Around town, you’ll use less fuel if you:
Drive smoothly and try to maintain a steady speed
Use the gearbox sensibly, and change up through the gears as soon as practical
If you drive an automatic, ease back slightly on the accelerator once the car has gained sufficient speed
Avoid peak hour and other heavy traffic where possible
Avoid engine idling for long periods.
On the freeway, you’ll use less fuel if you:
Reduce speed - you can reduce your fuel consumption by as much as 25% by taking 20 km/h off your speed
Use cruise control if you’ve got it
Use your car’s air conditioner sparingly
Keep the windows up and use the ventilation system when travelling over about 50 km/h, if your car doesn’t have air conditioning
If your car’s transmission has power and economy modes, use the economy mode to ensure the transmission up-shifts earlier.
All of the above tips also help reduce wear and tear on your car’s brakes, tyres and the other mechanical parts. So you’ll save on running costs too.
2. Care for your car and save
Get your car serviced regularly to keep its running costs down and to help save on fuel. As part of caring for your car, you should:
Keep the engine correctly tuned
Keep filters in good condition
Keep the fuel and ignition systems in good working order
Regularly change the engine oil using the correct grade of oil as recommended by the manufacturer.
3. Inflate tyres correctly
Check your tyre pressure once a week, when the tyres are cold.
4. Check the wheel alignment
Ensure the wheel alignment is correctly set and the brakes aren’t dragging, as these can both increase rolling resistance - and chew up more fuel.
5. Check your load
If you can, reduce the amount of gear in your car. Things like golf clubs and toolboxes add unnecessary weight, which in turn increases fuel consumption.
External attachments such as roof racks will increase wind resistance and fuel use. If possible remove them when not in use; and when you are using them, load them carefully to minimise wind resistance.
6. Use the smaller of two cars
If your household has two or more cars, use the more fuel efficient one wherever possible. Get into the habit of using the others only when necessary. If you’re in the market for a new car, consider fuel efficiency.
7. Be wary of fuel savings devices
There are many devices on the market claiming to improve your car's performance and save buckets of fuel.
8. Use your car less
One of the best ways to save on fuel costs is to stop using your car so much! Explore other options like public transport, car pooling, walking or riding a bike.
If you must use your car, try to combine a few smaller trips into one. A cold engine is less fuel-efficient and emits more pollutants than a warm engine, so several shorter trips will use more fuel than one longer trip.

1. Revisa el Sistema de Seguridad
2. Fusibles de prueba
3. Compruebe si hay chispa
4. Tienes combustible
5. Verifique los códigos de falla del motor
6. Sensor de ángulo del cigüeñal
7. Verifique el pulso del inyector
8. Revise la compresión del cilindro
Why clean it? Does this necessary?
Because cleaning removes accumulated burnt or unsuitable oils that make this valve difficult to operate. With a faulty oil control valve or VVT solenoid, excess engine oil may be introduced into the VVT system which can result in rough idling, stalling, or just poor engine running in general.
Which engine is this?
It is the 4ZZ-FE engine, 1,400 cc, 97 hp, 2008 model
What are the symptoms of a bad valve?
4 Symptoms of a Bad Oil Control Valve (and VVT Solenoid)
The Variable Valve Timing (VVT) solenoid and Oil Control Valve (OCV) comprise an integrated unit. This unit can malfunction. When it does, any or all of these symptoms can alert you to problems:
1. Rough Idle
Under normal conditions, the VVT system activates at higher RPMs or when under load bearing conditions such as driving up a hill. But with a faulty oil control valve or VVT solenoid, excess engine oil may be introduced into the VVT system which can result in rough idling, stalling, or just poor engine running in general.
2. Poor Acceleration
The engine will accelerate more slowly than normal. Power to accelerate quickly and/or climb hills will be lacking. While you may think this isn’t that big of a deal, there may be times where you need to floor it to prevent an accident. When that power isn’t there, there’s not much you can do.
3. Poor Gas Mileage
One of the benefits of variable valve timing is an increase in fuel economy. But when the oil control valve is faulty, that benefit disappears as intake and exhaust valves may open or close at the incorrect times. Over a period of time, you will note an increase in fuel consumption.
4. Check Engine Light
Invariably, the check engine light (CEL) will come on.

Pourquoi cette moteure vv t i consome De essence?
if this part were to be bad in my toyota will it activate my check engine light?
Yes it is possible
What is the benefit of cleaning this part?
Because cleaning removes accumulated burnt or unsuitable oils that make this valve difficult to operate. With a faulty oil control valve or VVT solenoid, excess engine oil may be introduced into the VVT system which can result in rough idling, stalling, or just poor engine running in general.
What is a camshaft timing oil control valve?
3) Check Engine Light
Like when other electronic components of an engine fail, the vehicle’s computer can sense a oil control valve failure and in turn turn on the check engine light in your instrument cluster. Using a diagnostic scanner, you can determine if this part is the cause of your problems or if it’s something entirely different.

this is vvt valve not camshift sensor and ander the valve filter small to the valve outside and clean to
My friend this is Camshaft Timing Oil Control Valve of the VVT-i system and its filter is just below this valve which I cleaned and uploaded to my channel.
