Fight the good fight with all thy might - arr. for piano by Peter Duckworth

This magnificent hymn by John Bewley Monsell (1811-1875), set to the tune Duke Street, encapsulates the advice of the ageing Apostle to his faithful companion Timothy: "Fight the good fight of faith, and lay hold on eternal life, unto which you are called" (1 Tim 6.12); not forgetting Paul's own last words in 2 Tim 4.12: "I have fought a good fight, I have finished. my course. I have kept the faith". How wonderful that Christ is all, and can be all in all to us.
