Good video💯
Thanks 💯
Hello, Helen. Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. I have a question to ask after following it step by step. My brush turned out to be very ragged/"pixelated" when I use it. I created this brush using Studio Pen brush from Inking set and this Studio Pen brush doesn't have this raggedness. I played with StreamLine properties, but it doesn't change it. I played your tutorial several times trying to see if I've missed anything to no avail. What have I done wrong? Can it be that the fact that I've created this brush using 2048px square as directed, but using it on my canvas size which is 6884px by 9733px create extremely big extrapolation (resampling) and this creates raggedness? Or size of the canvas I use it afterwards should not matter? Thank you for your help in advance.
How can you increase the size in the middle?
ThanksCS4 Jerrie
Make the space bigger. The empty space in the middle controls the size in the middle of the brush.
How to make the gap bigger?
Make the space between the dots bigger (and the dots smaller if needed)
Thank you so much for this video!!! I have a question… I tried this technique to do a 5 line brush (to draw rainbows and stuff) but even after fixing the rotation, the lines won’t separate…. Also, every time I tried to do this brush, it has like little “dots” at the beginning and end of each line 😰
I made a 5 dot brush and it worked just fine. Perhaps check your settings again - there maybe something you are missing? I find I get dot to begin with too sometimes - I just erase them later on. I don't get them when drawing with a finger.
If you have one brush that works, then you can duplicate it and change the shape that it is based on and then the settings from the "working brush" will be used for it!
Don’t know why, I can’t copy and paste the layer or the canvas into the shape in brush settings. It shows up as an empty box :(. The layer/canvas can be pasted as another layer fine, but won’t paste into the shape box of brush settings..
I just checked this for you and I tried to copy and paste an image that was not square and larger than 2048 x 2048 and it worked just fine for me. So I’m a little confused as to why it’s not working for you. What I suggest you do is to export your brush shape as a JPEG file and then try and import it in as a brush shape into the brush panel. See if that works for you. Let me know how you go?
ty so much, when i use the brush on a different canvas it’s pixelated :(. do you know any ways to fix this?
Have you tried to reduce the spacing on the brush to see if that helps?
