You missed the joke, Ron literally meditated there. Meditation IS breathing with minimal thoughts in your head, Ron literally mastered meditation on his first try and he doesn't even realize it. That's the joke, that he actually did meditate without knowing about it.

The irony is that Ron was shown to be one of the government's most valuable assets, as his no-nonsense attitude to resource usage meant the P&R department's budget was properly controlled while the rest ballooned.
The show really was an idealization of how government worked: Despite the many diverse backgrounds of its workers, including people who hated the government, it all came together because the workers cared about something. Whether that be the civilians or each other, it was the caring that worked.
@@Delightfully_Bitchy Very true. The show could so easily have been "Leslie Knope gradually fixes a group of broken people who don't care about government", but it never descends to this. The writers recognise that Leslie's dream government would be just as dystopian as Ron's.

The banana on the burgers is actually a very valid option for the potasium if he's otherwise healty
And his test results showed that he is (somehow) very healthy outside of having slightly low potassium

This is a character which manages to be better than most out of personality alone his character development and history is like a seasoning in that there are many pockets of it which just makes him all the more enjoyable, and huge props to Nick Offerman who's delivery of it all just makes him steal the show more often than not
I always found, "It's f*cking milk," to be the most relatable thing he's ever said.
That nod after he ate the banana burger will never stop making me laugh, just going "yes, this is the way"
Ron (to the banana): "I can eat you up warm, or i can eat you up cold."
I just think it’s so heartwarming when he says “would I get married again? Of course I would. If you don’t believe in love, what’s the point of living?” just after saying he wants to use his last breathe to tell his ex wives to go to hell

The episode where Ron gets a cold and Anne is surprised his cholesterol was fine is actual accurate. Their have been several indigenous tribes and many towns in the far north that have lived of off almost entirely meat and fish with very little supplements, mainly in the form of alcohol for drinking. So his health is accurate.

I never watched this show but I love this Ron Swanson character. I've been binge-watching compilations of him ever since a friend of mine send me a short yesterday of him throwing his computer in a dumpster after learning about cookies.
