For as many times as I have watched Parks and Rec, I never heard Andy saying to the dental reception as he's being taken back, "so should I strip down to my underwear or all the way naked?" LOL 😆
A few years ago I got the flu pretty bad and had a fever that made me basically delirious and I went to the hospital and I kept apparently asking them if this was the part where I take my underwear off. They were good sports about it at least. This was also *before* I saw Parks and Rec and realized I'm probably about 60% Andy Dwyer.
@@DB-dq1gf when i had covid back in january i was super delirious too, and i had some awkward moments people had to tell me about later lol. I didnt have to go to the hospital though, fortunately

Older brother little brother for me. Most of the dialogue fits a sibling dynamic more than a father/son relationship in my opinion. Even the ages line up.

I always figured they just abandoned him. He woke up the morning after his 18th birthday and found that they'd just moved out. I knew a guy like that once.
Ron sees Andy like a dog, not a son. His entire approach to Andy is one of a father who did not want a dog but ends up caring for him because nobody else will. You can always see that "its not his fault" look before he cares for Andy.
Ah, yes, it's always so beautiful to see the 30 yo adopted son getting along with his father figures 6 and 7 yo adopted daughters so well...just a cute lil blended family
Ron was the uncle that Andy and April needed. They prepared him for fatherhood and he kept them alive and called them out on their bullshit when needed.

They're only 9 years apart, Chris was 30 during the first season and Nick was 39, but they fit the father/son dynamic so well.
I had my first son when I was nine
Having a son at 9 seems like it would fit Ron's narrative
Nick Offerman's always had a very old soul personality to him whereas Pratt seems very youthful in personality and appearance.

Which, to me, makes the accomplishment all the more impressive.
Helping Andy to do something instead of nothing proves how much Ron cares about him.😊💕
