People worry about AI taking over, but some of us worry about HI 😳, and the moment when the Hoyas become self aware. Will they still need their humans?? …. errrr… no
Lol plants have survived millions of years (I think?) without humans :D I know it doesn’t rain inside the flat and stuff but still :D they will just take over the space
@@ZoeAlecxis Hoyas can easily handle that situation. With their twisty vines they can turn on the tap themselves, they can open the door and go outside and they can also unzip the Mars Hydro tent to let the others out. 😳 They have been studying Miro for years!
I fell off my bed and almost died looking at your glorious globulosa, then I scolded mine, which I adore, for not being nearly so shiny and stunning. Then I felt bad because she’s actually actively growing in spite of my neglect. I apologized and gave her a bit of water as a treat. I’m exhausted now. 😂
Came over really 🥵 and fainted at the Globulosa (stunning!) just coming round now and just shutting the front door to watch the rest of the video lol Loved this video thank you 💚
Hi Miro 💫 Thanks for another video. Your personality and humor are the best. I’m always in a much better mood after your videos. I did receive my 2 leaf cutting of Mathilde and to my surprise I had gotten bonus cuttings and a peduncle 😮 I’ve never had a peduncle so I’m super excited. Crossing my fingers they all root well. Can’t wait for Summer Camp Wednesday. Enjoy the rest of your weekend. 🙏🏻💫
Love this video! So hilarious!😂😂😂 @ 14:13: “shut the f**k up, how dare you!”🤣🤣🤣🤣Laughing and Learning about Hoyas in addition to hearing new and unique ways to describe beauty = Killer combo!❤😘 @ 16:28 “Shut the front door, how dare you!”😂😂😂
Oh that Cao Bang most definitely made me fall down on the spot, I'm now supine and can't get back up 😮🤣🤣I don't keep any hoyas in pon anymore, I get better growth and less root issues in either a chunky aroid mix, pure pumice or a combination of the two. Great video as always, Miro 👏👏
Fun and informative as usual. Could you talk a bit about why you're moving away from pon. I've been moving most of my hoyas to pon and getting great results when compared with bark and and bits of sphag. Your insights and experience, as usual, would be helpful.
@@mwoods4608 I agree, as I, too, have hundreds of plants. I was wondering what Miro was now using as a growing medium for his hoyas because if it's helpful in his situation, it could be helpfuil in mine.
I totally fell down on demand looking at your globulosa! She is a beauty! I have a longer leaved globulosa that I love, her leaves are so shiny and fuzzy at the same time! I think I need to move to a lower light though so that the leaves will grow in a darker green. Btw… whenever I hear “just look at that” I immediately think of ruclips.net/video/jSCxzsS6Vu0/видео.html because I am a child 😁
Hahaha that video is hilarious! I have never seen it before either! I have longer-leaved globulosa as well (the WMZ/ IML clone) and that one is very pretty as well. Definitely cannot wait for it to grow bigger and give me some longer, wavy leaves
I finally received my hoya mathilde, and I'm pretty excited. She's very small, but the roots look great. It came with 4 nice sized little leaves, and 5 brand new leaves popped out. I've only had her for a week, but she seems happy and healthy. Yesterday, my Hoya Callistophylla arrived and had dropped the oldest and newest leaf during shipping. It still has 3 decent size leaves and seems sturdy and healthy...I'm hoping it continues to acclimate happily in its new place. But my hoya rosita has been with me now for three weeks now. I am so disappointed. When it arrived, the leaves "looked" ok, but the soil and roots almost seem hydrophobic. A friend told me to let the root ball soak for a couple hours before putting back into the pot. I chose to plant it up in bark, a some perlite and little cactus/succulent soil mix. In the next week, leaf after leaf began yellowing near the stem and falling off. I checked for root rot, tho I had not watered it since that initial soaking (most roots still looked fine). Now, it is barely half the plant that was initially sent. Most of the remaining leaves seem ok and no more yellowing. But there's still a few leaves that looked shriveled and almost dried up. It was my first time ever complaining to that grower which I've bought plants from before...and all they told me is..."it was a healthy plant when we shipped it, and maybe next time you should research the care of any plant you want to buy from us." He was so rude, I said, "Thank you anyway, I'll make sure I don't make the same mistake again. I don't need to buy plants from you!" I guess you could say I was a teensy bit offended. 🤨 All that to say or ask, is it uncommon for a hoya to take over 3 weeks to acclimate and feel better?
I can definitely get onboard with the Cao Bang. I know I probably stand alone in this, but I don't like the looks of the regular globulosa. I think it looks like a string of pickles. As I started really expanding my houseplant collection and have moved toward hoyas, it became clear (finally) that I just gravitate more to those with ovate leaves. So, in addition to everything else she has going for her, Cao Bang's more rounded leaves are workin' for me! :) By the way, when I came back from vacation this year, my Australis Lisa had shot out a really long vine. I was only gone a week! I think they like being sneaky.
Yay!!!!! Vindicated!!!! 7:53 I was telling someone that ime hoya don’t do well to keep them in small pots. Lesson learned over 5 yrs so happy to hear you say it Miro!! Thank you!🫶🏼💚 Your Cao Dang is stunning! 😍
I have a regular globulosa with long narrow leaves but I love it. It started putting out big leaves and I love that the back of the leaves are so fuzzy. I have noticed that the leaves are bigger now that she is in lower light I'm so glad you pointed out that lower light can be a factor in regards to larger leaves.
Oh my globulosa is in direct southern lite and it just thrives. It just grows and grows. I wonder how much bigger the leaves would get if I pulled it back a bit. I used to have it in my Ikea cabinet with grow lights and it hated it in there.
I'm feeling the same way about my globulosa cao bang. I can't get over her. And somehow she's like... unpopular? People have a hard time selling their cuttings, nobody is talking about her... WHY????
My mil has a 27 up Hoya that she ignores and waters once a month. I don’t know how she has never had rot root or pests but she does have ants that get in and never a repot

So do we call this hate growth or spite growth?😂 I wish mine would hate me like this instead of just drying up and blowing away. I am curious about what you are moving away from pon for. I only have Hoya in pon now that are in no drainage. Other than those I moved Al mine out of pon.
