    Trivia: The Hoya linavergarae was named after Lina Vergara the wife of Dr. Ben Vergara who was a renowned plant scientist from the Philippines. The homeland of the two hoyas H. linavergarae and H. benvergarai. :) There are several hoyas that were named after couples or dedicated to their spouses and I think it's kinda cute. 🥺

It always seems when they start they come in bunches. Thanks for taking time to make this with all that has been happening. At least you have gorgeous hair through it all. ❤️💚🌱💚

    The H. sp. MIRAL 151 looks similar to my H. verticillata formally known as H. pallida. I have bloomed my H. verticillata (outer variegated) formally known as H. acuta from a cutting and I think it took about 1.5 years. It also has not grown much at all, so I was very surprised when I saw that it formed a peduncle. I have the green version of H. collina and it absolutely hates me. I recently took some cuttings in the hopes that the new starts will like me more.
    We all love you and we are here to listen when you need to vent. It has been a rough couple of months for me too, but your videos have kept me entertained and dreaming about hoyas. Thank you for all that you do. 💚

    Also found the root mealy bugs in my insularis the other day. Luckily it was still in ‘quarantine’. And my Hoya scortechinii has a beautiful gimmer on the leaves and some lovely delicate veins on the leaves. (Just one day of shipping, because I live in the Netherlands.). Oeh, I love the rigidfolia since your wishlist video. It’s even more beautiful on video. Thank you for uploading and editing a video, even with your shitty week(s). Take care and everything will be fine in the end!🤗

    I really enjoy spending time with you and your hoyas. I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil. My first hoya was a common Carnosa (it was my mom's), and I started collecting hoyas in 2020. My biggest challenge is Hoya Serpens, purchased in January 2021, I count her leaves every day to check if the 8 leaves are still there... what can I do?

    • @BasiePlants
      @BasiePlants  Год назад +3

      Hoya serpens does not like to be hot and she likes to be watered. I think self-watering pot is your best bet and try to keep it in a place that is a bit cooler, if possible :)

    Another wonderful video with beautiful Hoya. My Hoya VL9 is also a slow grower as well as my Hoya Burtoniae Variegata.
    I watched a video on the Hoya Carmelae and the owner said that he was having difficulty getting his Hoya to flower until he cut down the hours of light it got. It may be a possible solution to your Hoya or some of them that are not flowering.

    Hi Miro, just watched the computer problem part of your video. In my experience this kind of issue may be related to power surge that can happen and damage silently the computer components. If you don't have one already you may want to protect your computer with a surge protector multi-socket. Hope it helps!

    • @BasiePlants
      @BasiePlants  Год назад +1

      That might be true, however, it started to behave oddly out of the box, but I was hoping it was nothing major. Sadly it got progressively worse in the two week period. But power sirge procetor is definitely a must!
