    I have zero advice but I would love to watch you build a terrarium! You can do it!!

    Instead of paying for sticks marketed for plants, free wooden chopsticks from take-out works just as well as stakes for plants. :)

    I found a jar that is 3 gallons (I think) and I'm also waiting till the fall to start making it into a terrarium and I"m pretty sure everything I put in it will die. It's hot AF here in Canada. The plants love it but I'm dying. Anyways my "advice" is to trust your gut feeling. I think easing into it slowly and leaving yourself the ability to abort mission at any time is smart if you're not confident in what you're doing. I hope that didn't sound mean. I think it's the wise way to go. Love your videos. My Hoya obsession/addiction has only really taken off in the last year so. Late bloomer I guess, haha! But I"m learning a lot from your vids, so thank you!
    Anyways I could ramble on so I"ll stop. Where are you that there is no Amazon?
    I think I've watched GOT 5 times now? Not sure, but there's really nothing else like it. So incredibly well done. Enjoy!
    Take care :)

    I wouldnt turn this one in an Terrarium. I think its not a good Idea for an Taurus (neither Scorpio 😂). You can get a real glas Terrarium with a slide door for 60 euro. These are easier to manage... Cmook

    I have been growing Episcia for a couple of years now in Idaho, USA. They are very easy here and don't need a terrarium. They are easier than African Violets. I have terrariums but only in aquariums. I just leave my plants in pots and put them in. It is much easier this way to move them out, etc. They grow roots through the bottom of the pots anyway. I have tried putting chicken wire with spagnum moss on it in the back, but eventually I got bored with that. I also tried bark glued to the back, but that to was very messy to maintain. I think you really have to be devoted to the whole eco look to create and maintain a whole terrarium set-up. I just want my plants to thrive so it wasn't for me. Benji on utube set up one which was very nice. He never shows it anymore so I think he abandoned it. Which ever you do, I am sure it will be successful. Just start putting it together slowly. Don't get to many plants before you have a place to put them. Good luck!

    I like your idea of using separate pots in the rusta. It is very hot here in Northern Kentucky, usa. We just finished 10+ days of 90+ F. Before that we had a month or more of rain.

    You know you are the best plant content creator. Your sarcasm and humility is such an interesting combination. Plus just read the "A Song of Ice and Fire" series. The show is a cheap imitation in the earlier seasons, and bad a fan fiction in the later seasons

      No, I liked it. But to be honest at some point you understand the source material was not in the level of the show runners. They were really out of depth and failed to understand what made GOT interesting

    After surviving a brutal summer i am now freezing my toes off and blowing out power fuses trying to run a heater in the greenhouse and the main house simultaneously 😂 Also i dont understand how you keep a white shirt looking white during a repot session... what video magic is that!

    It has been the same temperature where I am, but we finally got rain today so it’s cooled down to 85°F/29°C and it’s crazy how that feels cool now!
    I have not trellised any of my Hoyas, but I’m starting to get jealous of the growth I’m not seeing! Everything has grown but when I see trellised ones online I’m like hmm I should. I bought two tiny metal ones but can’t decide which Hoyas to use them on…

    • @BasiePlants
      @BasiePlants  3 месяца назад +2

      Some will benefit a lot from being trellised. Some won't care either way. It depends on the hoya. Sorry you had the same temperatures 😩

    Hi Miro. Thank you for your wonderful channel. I love your personality too and love watching you work with your plants and talking. I’ve learned so much from you and have only recently gone fully crazy for Hoya. So many cuttings and I’ve been guided by your videos about what to try. Your knowledge is so helpful. Also I love your whole vibe. Keep the amazing videos coming! Wishing you well from Ireland. Btw you probably already know about these but I’ve recently found some good EU based sellers of Hoyas that advertise as cactus sellers. Uhlig Kakteen are shipping me an acicularis and can’t wait. Also I’ve been getting amazing cuttings of Hoyas from Plant & Interieur in the Netherlands. Great prices too. Thanks for your amazing channel 🪴

    Hello Mero from Puerto Rico!! I’m also in the process to do my second terrarium but now into a 30 gallon aquarium. It’s all a process and getting all the supplies before the plants finally come in. Will be getting the majority of the plants this Friday at the plant festival. I have the lecca for the reservoir, the terrarium filter, fluval stratum, soil, and the ground moss. I need to get a top with a light…coming soon to another video.

    I bought a new beautiful Hoya and thought of you! I’ve been repotting and switching what I can to self-watering pots. It makes it so much easier to water 300 plus plants. I even invested in some hanging self-watering pots, too. I hope you and your plants survive the heat wave! ❤️
